Another important historical interview. This site is a treasure for aviation and air power enthusiasts and historians. Especially when interviewed by Steve who not only allows everyone to tell the story, but expertly steers the conversation to relevant and interesting areas that provide entertaining and historically significant information to be available to all. BZ Steve...keep up the amazing work. I for one will watch every new interview you do and wait with anticipation for the next one every time.

These interviews with regular people who lack the bravado and ego are a gift….. his past didn’t grow with time….. his experience and pain is so real and understandable……. I grew up with the television version of the Vietnam War every day …..fortunately for me it ended 18 months before I came of age……

These interviews are pure gold, great questions, direction and the space to tell a story. Because I could listen to Dennis Jarvis all day! So grateful for his service and commitment to our country, even under a very difficult time.

Desert Storm: “I once saw an SA-6 fired at me self-destruct after the radar got hit by a HARM.” Vietnam: “I had about thirty SAMs launched at me that I had to defeat kinematically.”

Loved every minute of that. Oh to have been a fly on the wall in the bar when the guys were passing down wisdom. Thanks to Dennis for his time and Steve as always for the wonderful content masterfully steered!

Imagine dying on your last mission because some general wants you to land in a rainstorm so he can play at being Patton. Goddamn.

This is a great channel with a professional touch. Not only are these extraordinary people being interviewed with interesting stories to tell, but it is adding to the historical record.

The F-105 had an enormous load capacity, a majority of that load being the pilot's cojones.

Part of the reason for the Thud’s high loss rate during the Fall of 1967 into 1968 was the weather was good, they opened up several heavily defended targets that had previously been on the restricted list, and unbeknownst to Americans the Soviets had taught the North Vietnamese SA-2 crews how to track on jam and optically guide the SA-2 into the formations of Thuds.

Thanks, Neil. HOJ and optical guidance will be covered in my next Wild Weasel interviews.

If what I have read is true ,the White House would inform the Swiss government what targets were on the next days list. The Swiss would inform the North Vietnamese. The White House did this to minimize killing civilians, the Vietnamese used the info to move anti aircraft batteries into kill zones
