Hey guys! Welcome to my last video of this disastrous year of 2020 and probably also the biggest video of the year at the same time...the full Alaska Milk Run experience! This route covers Anchorage, Cordova, Yakutat, Juneau, Petersburg, Wrangell, Ketchikan, and Seattle onboard an Alaska Airlines' B737-900ER & B737-700. I wanted to do something special for this very special route and decided to change it up a bit from my usual format, adding a bunch of montages and voiceovers as well as condense the footage down as much as possible. Let me know what you think! (full flight videos aren't going anywhere!) As you can see in the video, I think I make it quite apparent how truly awesome this milk run is. It not only plays a vital and important role for each of the towns I visited on the route, but also is a huge treat for aviation enthusiasts and is used to transport people into these places to fish, hike, canoe, kayak, and enjoy what the Last Frontier has to offer. Alaska is definitely one of my favorite places now after this trip and I will definitely be back. I also got to visit Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls in Juneau which was an extra special experience for me. I love cold, remote places so this was just so sweet for me. I hope this video will be for you too and I hope you enjoy!
Flight Info:

Flight #: AS 66, AS 64

Filmed: July 2020
Camera(s) Used: Canon Powershot G7X Mark II, iPhone X

34:45 to 34:55 - as great as it looks out there, the beautiful scenery, mountains, alpine forrests, clear crystal lakes and rivers, and the huge open country, there's only one issue with how it is around there and within most of the rural areas of the Milk Run: It's bear country, grizzly bear country, bears, bears, and more bears

I love this video and plan to experience the northern half of the Milk Run in a few days. I think Alaska is especially gorgeous in the summer when the weather is warm and the Midnight Sun never fully sets in some areas. Plus, the return flight to Seattle, descending in between mountain ranges, over the Strait of Juan de Fuca and over the islands shows the incredible beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I agree that Alaska Airlines flight crews are consistently a few notches above average.

I have already flown the United island hopper and I have to say it was so amazing. Er had luck because it was the captains last flight and at all airports we landed on, we got a water salute. We always flew a circle around the islands before we landed, instead of doing a direct approach. At Guam airport the captain decided to do a go around before we experienced his last landing. He used the whole runway and we deplaning we even got the chance to do a photo with him.

Loved this "milk run" vlog. Great scenery shots, of the glaciers and such. Amazing how a lot of ice (and glacier melt) can create an awesome landscape. Glad AS is doing this milk run to connect the small coastal communities of Alaska. Agree with the other folks - it was good to hear your voice. Cheers.....

All of your videos have truly been amazing, but this was the best video I ever seen. Words can't even begin to describe how well-done this video was. The amount of effort you put into this video along with your optimistism masks a mastermind put into the videos that brings me joy. Keep up the excellent work. I think you should get rewarded for such effort. I am so proud of you.

What a treat! You were very fortunate to have such beautiful weather for your journey. I remember many times flying throughout SE Alaska that you could not even see the tops of the mountains. In the past, beverage service was available out of each station except for the Petersburg/Wrangell segment and a very delicious snack was served between Cordova and Yakutat with a hot meal out of Juneau/Sitka or Ketchikan depending on which milk-run flight you took on to Seattle. One of the snacks I will never forget was a tray of finger sandwiches that you could select from and one was a dark Russian bread with a pineapple/cream cheese filling that was fantastic. You even got to pick out a wedge of cheese and cherry tomato while sipping a scotch and water but those days are long gone!!! Thanks for the memories!

Excellent video kiddo! In my Advanced ESL book, there is a unit that mentions a glacier - since we live in a tropical country it was a little hard to explain that to the students (I've been to the Nothern Hemisphere but never to a glacier), so, explaining is a time-consuming task. I got a print of your video showing the Sheridan Glacier and I'm going to use it on a ppt slide - as they say, a picture paints a thousand words! Thanks for sharing and have a great 2021!

Outstanding video Alaska is on my bucket list I live in New Zealand and with the present "you know what" it maybe a while. I watch a 24/7 webcam located at the ANC seaplane base with views of the lake and the main Airport mainly the Cargo ramp. At present the lake is frozen over so rather than floatplanes we see ski planes. Just subscribed this video popped up on my recommended list Thanks
