Nice thing with the ground targets in this game, the MBTs and other heavy armor do have armor zones, you can one shot MBTs with single 48s from the side and rear.

right now there arent any drawbacks to putting the collective to 100%(aside from the siren), you actually ascend faster than with say 90% or 80%.

Getting track IR enabled should be their immediate priority! It seems hard to imagine flying a modern sim without it.

i sighed up for the play test. works well... granted my PC is lagging badly while doing so since it sucks (my PC not the game)... anyways. i enjoy it. played around two hours or so today and had fun. didn't do any heli but still. thank you for introducing me to this game

Nuclear Option brought me to your channel as well. Great video, liked and subbed. NO is turning heads. Oh, and BTW has anyone else noticed that the tail rotor doesn't spin? Maybe it's just me.

I used to love War Thunder back in 2014 - 2017, back when it was actually great. But after its downfall I couldn't find anything else that scratched the same itch. Nuclear Option seems to be what I've been looking for, they even have KBM controls which although inferior to gamepad/joystick, are still nice to have.

Tecnically the original way to say Nuclear would be Nu-ku-lar and the Chicane if this was the dev's intention, there's only one origin I can think of and that's the french word for "Argument" which is pronounced Chi-Kah-nn

You did pronounce the Chicane properly (sounds like > Shih-Cain). I kind of laughed at the prickly-looking tail light as you first started the helicopter. And then I saw the side lights looking the same. Considering the rest of the "world" looks good, the lighting effects or glare or whatever it's supposed to be coming out of those lights, does not not look very realistic. But it wouldn't be enough to stop me from trying this out. Is there any ability to use TrackIR or VR ?

for me there are black cubes around every icon, like the icons telling you where to go, or what enemy you are shooting a 20KT nuclear cruise missile at.

Sorry but I’m actually not sure. I know Nuclear Option is made on the Unity engine but that’s it.

You don't actually adjust the throttle you change the collective. Modern helicopters mostly change lift via the blade pitch while the throttle needs to be maintained so that the blades stay within a certain speed range, on modern helicopters that is usually done automatically.

Use your mouse it’s super easy to look around smoothly with just a mouse ad no there’s no headtracking yet

He says he used the analog on his joy stick to look about. You can do the same with a basic mouse though, just a bit different.

@@inkyspirets2460 I haven’t watched the vid in a bit, but being in a heli, he’d have a mode to lock a point to fire on exactly, regardless of angle or distance. Or maybe it’s an ai doing it? It’s one of the two.

@inkyspirets2460 The targeting pod on the helo automatically aims the gun, he just has to lock up the target.

how do i look round in the kockpit using a controller?? when i go to 3rd person veiw,, i can move round with the stick without an issue.. and kick in the middle to get it "back" into the middle... but once in the cockpit, it wont work...
