I went up in a Pitts special (s2) during my training as an aircraft engineer 30 years ago when I was learning to fly at the same time. Couldn't walk straight for an hour. At least with the Extra you don't have to side slip as much coming back in to land. Mental what these tiny aircraft can do. Nice one Kevin.. Good luck with the training!!

Stall turn is my favorite way to turn around my glider with big motor. Looks great for the FPV camera.

The gyro copter is safer then the sport flyer, the gyro copter can “Auto Rotate” all the way to the ground without any power. You’ll learn all about fixed wing instruction soon and realize all of the risks of private aviation. My tip: the aviator’s checklists will save your life. Follow them religiously to every small detail and you’ll have a flawless experience flying.

That's completely insane you could handle all those gs and not get sick. I've been flying my whole life and I still get sick if I don't gradually work up to sustained gs. Mad respect!

So much fun, Kev! Last summer I went up in a Curtis Pitts Special Bi-Plane with a 650 hp Lycoming engine. I vomited on the last part of the Aerobatic run. Thank goodness he gave me a bag. I'm scared of heights but it was the biggest adrenaline rush. Glad you got to experience it. Hope you don't buy one as we would like to keep you around for a log time. lol

I was at the Summer Nationals at Santa Pod in 1997. A couple of lads arrived in a microlight aircraft and landed beside the top end of the strip. They got a mild telling off for not asking permission before landing, but after they greased the wheels with management I managed to blag a ride for myself and a neighbours' kid who'd come with me to watch the racing. I gave them £30 for fuel to take us up. I got the chance to fly it too, which was nice. I've seen the Extra 300 in action. It's a very capable plane.

I did the NASCAR experience at Dover Speedway a few weeks ago and I rode with one of the program’s drivers and the G forces in the turns caught me by surprise. Had to be pulling 3-4 Gs easily. Even at 125 mph going into a banked turn on a mile long track is insane and the pro drivers are easily doing 160-170 into the turn. I can’t imagine that G-force. That 3 lap ride was the most lateral G force I’ve ever felt in my life in a car. The only comparison I can make to that is riding the Gravitron spaceship carnival ride that exposes you to 2-3 Gs of G force or basically enough G force to make you stick to the wall and make the wall slide up. They don’t recommend you ride it standing up on the wall because your legs might not hold your body weight and it has a canvas ceiling. The windows are mostly blocked so you can’t tell you’re spinning so you don’t get very much motion sickness

I told the pilot the first time I flew in an across plane, fly how you want. I was awake for about 5 minutes! Lol. That's was just for the take off!! It was so crazy how was it was not to smile and laugh!! It is super fun. Not sure the g's I passed out at. But I'm sure it wasn't too crazy high. The part I didn't like was not knowing when the maneuvers were comming. Like a passenger in a car. You don't know when to brace because your not in control.

Oh, so thats a tail slide. I have done that a few times with the big motor glider and it sometimes looks like it is going to rip off the prop with the jerk motion or send the camera flying off. Everything looks much smother in full scale. I am going to stick to FPV and flying with a radio with feet on ground. Flying is way better than that monster truck.

Just for anyone wondering the smoke is supposed to be there it is a mineral oil that dropped somewhere into the exhaust I believe then it is burned and produces smoke If I'm wrong please correct me

Just be safe and cautious. Mistakes will kill you! A good fear of flying will go a long way. That said it is one of the most rewarding thing you can do!

I would recommend a Cessna 150. Little more room for baggage and a good cruiser plane.
