When you touch down, taxi to parking then go to get out of your plane to get something to eat only to realise you're still in your living room🤣🤣 insane immersion 👍💪
Amazing setup! I imagine it could become quite warm sitting between those monitors. Have no idea how I only found your channel today. You definitely have me itching to get back into the virtual air.
Fantastic! I only wish it would be economical to place your cockpit on a cradle, controlled by hydraulics to actually move it with the controls during banking, etc., like the ones owned by the airline flight schools.
Great vid. Great set up. i been out of flying for approximately 18 years. Got too expensive. Still love it though. Your videos are very inspiring. Keep it up.
Thanks for the great video! I would like to know if you take request to take flights from location to location. If so, a flight from KBTR to KMSY.. thanks and keep up the great videos and flights... Since finding your video I've been building my new system and setup.
Excellent flight. Followed all procedures in a very professionally manner. The flight planning without the ‘K’ prefix is no big deal. You have motivated me enough to build my home flight sim as well but I will take my time. See you upfront!
This is an excellent video. I feel like I'm sitting next to you on a real flight! You should do an introduction series (if you haven't done so already) on basic flying, controls, weather and comms. Just to get us newbies more familiar with things. Maybe a lesson on instruments would be good too.
And a pilot chair full with seatbelts or harnesses...when he is doing the checklist it tells you to check the seatbelts and harness...its the only thing he doesn't do
I literally had anxiety and bliss at the same time. Your setup is literally immersive. And I’m watching through my phone screen at 2am 😅 great work. I subbed. I am really getting into this sim stuff. Any advice on how to get going in it?
@@mattcarpenter3260 Summed up nicely. I've been working on a C-172 cockpit, and the only thing you didn't mention was time, LOTS of time! Thousands of dollars and two years later, I still have a long way to go.
Great job-loved the editing! We’re pretty much in parallel, going through the CAT ratings at the same time by the looks of things & our set-ups are almost identical too... Hope to catch you on PilotEdge sometime soon & if you fancy some formation, give me a shout! :)
Thank you sir! Ive been taking my time getting through the ratings. Formation flying is one thing I haven't done in the sim yet but definitely want to. Lets do it. josh@homesimpilot.com
Josh, this was a real trip for me. It appears you work out of the Santa Maria area, and it tickled me to see Vandenberg AFB, Lompoc, San Luis Obispo, etc. looking over your shoulder on the charts. I was based at VAFB in 1972 for a year, and launched 2 MMIII missiles out of there in '75. I was "20/25" (left eye), and busted my USAF entry physical. However, I later used my GI Bill to get all my ratings through ATP, and retired in '09 with American Airlines on the "73". It was a Great Ride my friend, and I thank you for letting me have the Jump Seat --> "over to B F L" ("you don't need no stinkin' 'K' man"). Ha !
This is by far the best content on RU-vid keep it coming man cant wait to see the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 videos you got planned amazing job bro.
Got to say I love your videos and they inspired me to start building a small simulator at home, albeit a bit smaller to start! And, you are introducing me to some different hardware which is more economical which helps in the Wife Approval Department! Keep it up!
Thats awesome im glad my videos are helpful. I started with just a yoke and throttle and slowly added over time. I wish you the best on your build. Cheers!
BUTTER! I know I know I shouldn't say it or bring it up, but why the hell isn't there more black men in this hobby? I legit was expecting some old nerdy white guy haha, normally because it does tend to be this way for some stupid reason. Regardless, what a set up! I dream of that!
Really good flight. Just one small pointer. In initial takeoff your vertical speed indicator showed a huge value (almost 2000 fpm). In real flight your ears would hurt a little bit. Just take care of the vertical speed and keep it a little bit down. These lights airplanes are climbed between 500 and 1000 fpm depending on the weather (hot or cold) Rest was excellent. Keep up the good work :)
I flew from Van Nuys to Bakersfield in a Cessna 150 for one of my cross country flights. That was 35 years ago. I got my private pilots license but the expense was too much, so I kind of got out with only 120 hrs. This video really brought back those memories. Very nice.
Nice video. Ive started my flight SIM journey with MS Flight 2020 , I now have XPLANE 11. I purchased my first yoke(Logitech Pro) but im thinking about sending it back to get the Honeycomb. I like that setup.
FS2020 is awesome, and 2024 will be awesome also, but Im considering sticking with FSX for my pit just so I have the smooth operation, and everything will be lightning fast... thoughts??
Great work on your part putting all this together. I need a consult with you as I put together a triple monitor flight simulator starting with Microsoft flight simulator X on my laptop (i7, 32 gb ram, 4gb video ram, etc) and then later putting together an i7 or i9, tower with 12 gb video ram, 3 hdmi out, 64, gb, ram, 4k, blah blah) with one of the more recent Microsoft Fight Simulator Packages. Peripherals will be all Saitek. Unfortunately, my budget for this is shoestring and my computer skills are mediocre. Any help you can give me will be appreciated. Thanks, J
I have about 20 logged hours in a Cessna 150. I flew with the Naples Navy Flying club while serving on active duty in the Navy overseas. Being a junior enlisted service member it was just a little too expensive back in the days. But I have never gave up the dream.
Just found you as I am jumping in the flight sim pool, looking for some desk set up advice, etc. Enjoyed your flight to one of my frequent business flight stops, KBFL.
Hey I just subscribed to your channel. I'm a rw private pilot in Canada as well as an enthusiastic flight simmer. Beginning first week of December I'll be back into simming with my new home panel and my first subscription to pilot edge. Hope to hear you on frequency!
Awesome flight. Never flew the 150 or the 172's. Trained in Piper's back in the late 70's. Warrior's, Archer's, Arrow's and the Meridian. Love the setup you have. Nice work.
Your equipment and video presentations are fantastic. If you were just starting to build a simulator( have nothing other than a gaming pc), what would be the first $1k-ish investment?
This was amazing!!! I subscribed and started watching your vids. It inspired me to start my own build. I just bought 3 TVs and working on getting the computer build now. Hopefully my own home sim will help me get my own private pilot certificate.
I watch a lot of flight videos. And your channel came across my eyes. This is only the second video I've watched but it's top notch front to back. Subbed on the first one,... hit the bell on this one. Much respect.
Sorry, I’m watching in a tiny screen. Is your six-pack monitor a touchscreen? It looks like your spinning a physical knob when you set your altimeter and heading bug.
I'm having an issue on a clean install of beta9 on a clean install of win10. Customize weather not working, only the slider works, thus I cannot use real world weather. Just throwing that out there. I submitted a report.
Thats interesting I havent heard of that issue yet. This is the first beta that gave me the least amount of problems but a few plug ins still dont work. Good luck, hope you get it figured out!
