All these people hating on Humboldt have no idea what they are talking about. Like any city Eureka has alot of issues. But the air is the cleanest in America , and you live next to the tallest trees in the world. That’s a massive W. It’s not just a weed town too. It’s a county 😂 and it makes hella money off tourist and has a long history with logging and fishing.
I'm surprised your flight wasn't diverted due to heavy pot smoke from the Humboldt State camous. I drove up the Cannabis Coast from San Fran to the Oregon border a while ago. The scenery was beautiful but the towns along the way were quite sketchy and I got the impression there was plenty of illicit activity going on. Eureka was an absolute dump.
