@LarryChen you don’t need the board for the MFD, S1 R34 GTR already has the intake sensor pre-installed. You need to open the MFD diagnostics and turn the intake and Exhaust senors on and they will display on the MFD. you will only need the exhaust Sensor to get them all to work. I have a r34 gtr base and have done this and It works.

The headlight height adjustment is for mountain driving. Zero is normal and you turn it down when coming down the mountain, to not blind the traffic coming up. Enjoy the car!

The headlight adjuster is for when you have a lot of load in the rear of your car, so the back sags and causes the headlights to point up slightly (which could blind oncoming traffic)

I know R34's carried through into the 2000s, but The R34 is (to me atleast) the 'end' of the great 90s car era. I loved my 2 R34s when I was young and stupid. Enjoy it. Love it. Hoon it.

Great video and congrats. Also just an FYI headlight leveling knob is there on all JDM cars to help adjust the lights if you have extra weight in the back which can lead to lights pointing up.

You adjust headlamps depending on interior load. Lots of items in the back will cause the front to rise, blinding people. You then use the toggle to dip the headlights back down.

Excellent level of information on the car and the vagaries of the Japanese system regarding export/owning a vehicle such as this, and others as you mentioned at the end. As a side note, Larry’s images in print form are second to none. I have 2 and they are beyond superb. 👊🏻

The headlight adjustment is for when your trunk & back seat are full because the weight put back affects headlight angle

Hey buddy, I also had a dream car, it was the 2004 Subaru WRX STI. I finally had the money to buy an STI, although it's a 2015, I have the launch edition which came in World Rally blue with the gold BBS wheels. I'm 38 and got it a year ago but it's a purchase I've wanted to make all my adult life.

@Larry Chen given your chassis number your car on the gtr registry was actually produced in July of 1999 so just keep that in mind that you won’t be able to import until 7/2024. Mine is a 10/1999 so little longer wait for me

It is not unlikely that he might have cursed his car. That’s why I christened the car by the name of my uncle. Feels better if you have to shout at something with a name

Here in Australia so many 32's, 33's and 34's (not so many R34's) have just crappy stuff crudely screwed into the A pillar or dash. My R32 had some weird sh!t I had to remove 🤣😂🤣😂

i wasnt even in my yearbook. i was purposefully left out of it lol. one day i hope to buy my school and turn it into something useful. my school's trash anyway. its a "good school" but the admins just misappropriate funds and funnel the money to themselves. so its a waste. the "bad school" attached to it kids actually learn skills and useful things. ill mostlikely expand the VOC school so kids actually get something out of their highschool experience.

Blimey, done well with the kilometres. So about 37.000 miles. Hardly run in lol Instead of replacing the side window trims, by repainting them, it'll save you money and it should come out looking OK. I've restored a 80s Peugeot 205gti and all the side and arch trim was black and plastic. I repainted them and they came out like new and got rave reviews for the paint.

Hey Larry, the Headlight-height adjuster is for how much luggage you put in your car, not just for when you're on bags. Usually cars with xenon headlights, they have that automatically, I guess these don't, or this used to be a halogen headlight car (with the closed off parking light section)
