You kids amaze me with how positive you are able to stay, through all the tough stuff getting out of one country and into another, then the pissy guy only giving you 30 days, then not being able to get in your room…I would have been crazy! Just a tip, always ask first the price of anything you may want to get (item, food or service, etc.) to avoid getting exploited. We just got our 30 day visa to Vietnam, and it clearly states you can only be in the country from the dates you tell them when you applied. You can arrive later than your arrival date but can't stay any later than the exit date you applied for. It states that as you apply online. Lesson learnt for other visas.
So sorry to hear all those difficulties that you have gone through guys. John & Christine are matured enough to handle it in a very positive way eventhough it was so hard, to be honest. Stay smiling guys..✌😄

$170 - $180 is reasonable for staying past your Visa!. A little bump on the road doesn’t hurt. A combined steam bath and massage will get you back on the road easily. Keep up a positive attitude.
Hey guys the E Visa we received said we can enter Vietnam anytime before the expiration date. What we didn't see or it did not say was that expiration date wasn't just for our entry it was also for our exit. Meaning if we used it 5 days before expiring to enter Vietnam we would only have 5 days to travel the country. We thought we'd get the 30 days as long as it was used before expiring. Yes it was the best feeling in the world lol 😊

If you are new to the Philippines and not get frustrated, always negotiate a price for taxi or tricycle/tuktuk ride in Manila, except for grab, bus, and jeepneys. Don't always assume the price they will tell you, because after the ride they will tell you that the price will be for both of you, meaning, for each person. Manila transport can trick you
I know because i work in Vietnam for 4 years, many years ago and i always took the fligth with Cebpac back to manila and versa.😀 Anyway, welcome to the philippines and consider to visit Cebu my belove province, cebu çity if you like historic and mountain views, southern part of cebu if you like adventures such swimming with sardines and turtles in moalboal, canyoneering in kawasan falls, swimming with whale sharks and tumalon falls in Oslob. North of cebu is for the white sand beaches of Bantayan island and scuba diving at malapascua island where from there you can visit the sand bar of malapascua island the longest sand bar in philippines.
