Honestly haven't had this much fun watching a lap in along time. That thing is actually pretty sick, if it ended up getting built out further with better suspension( though bouncing is fun haha) a more responsive engine build and a manual swap or some sort of better response time paddle shift it would be insane. Props to that guy.
You could swap out the transmission ecu for a Faster Stiftung one. LegitStreetCars used one in his e55 or cl65 (i dont remember) with the shifting settings from an slr
@@remstesthd6784 They don't have to be. As the other respondent said you can put SLR settings into the 5.5l boxes and for the latter M156's you can put the SLS settings into them and then they're just a smidge slower than a DQ500 off an RS3...
This was a very funny lap. Thanks Micha. This was the last weekend at Nord for my trusty C55T. It´s now retired to "daily only". It was a lot of fun on Cup2, but I cannot recommend it. Too much grip for an old cars suspension.
Genuinely great to see a car this old (but this capable) being treated to good parts (great brakes, great suspension, great tyres - that last one louder for those at the back, GREAT TYRES), with an owner who clearly isn't scared of spending good money for good parts. Kudos to him for that, the car seems incredibly capable.
As an aside to almost all of your videos, as an English person it always surprises me how well you and your non native English passengers are able to effortlessly communicate in a relatively stressful situation. I'm sure if I were Scandinavian, Dutch, German or French or whatever, I would be fearfully swearing in my own tongue around the whole lap. I am still looking forward to the 2CV or Renault 4 lap. Love the channel.
I love how the owner is an unsuspecting older dad type, acts like it's basically stock and then you find out it got upgraded brakes, cup2 and KW suspension lol (although probably well worn given the bounciness), sleeper both the car and the owner

I didn’t before today appreciate how bumpy that circuit is. Normally the cars are set up with varying degrees of track functionality and the bumps don’t translate to the video. But after this I have a whole new perspective. Cool video.
At least the guy, in the beginning, wasn't getting on the track going the wrong direction. You seem to have the most fun in the least sporty of cars. It's hilarious to watch. Also, very impressive.

Yeah, love the old V8 NA. I have a '10 S63, before they downsize & add turbo. When I was thinking of switching to a newer model, my German mechanic yelled at me: "R u crazy?! U have the last yr. NA REAL S63, it's a jewel!!"
Hey, I met the guy who owns the C55! He was at Apex when I was there in June and I was waiting on the track to re-open so I could go out in my rental. He was trying to figure out what to buy and was super interested in a Corvette. Small world!
Damn at 05:28 you can really see Misha’s experience on the track. He fully doubted the motorcyclist when he was heading to the curb, even before he was potentially hitting them. Btw. the lights on BMW bike was flashing because of hard braking not because of ABS. This is kind of necessary because BMW decide to save money by not implementing a separate brake light.

the bikes are so annoying as they are very fast on the straight but so slow in cornering.... and then you are constantly on the breaks in the fun corners

I just met Misha in Apex today, and in real life he is a very nice, calm and positive guy, and he very kind to allow me to take picture with him(actually short video), this is not easy to remain calm when everyday random strangers asking you to take picture, and he is very calm, nice guy, don’t know if you remember me, I said you are stronger than video hahahaha
hate that car , had one for sale in our shop , and the gear shifts are so sluggish , you can actually see it takes half a second from pushing the paddles to the gear change..... they made it better on new model , but this one... slug change

Such a great sleeper you can take your nephews out in the day and race at night. Few improvements on the suspension and gearbox and it would pass that Porsche. I would love to see another clip after the improvements. 🎉
