Juno crawling on the floor at the airport was the cutest thing ever! ‘Go a head, eat it - build up that immune system’ 😹 literally what I would say after so much travel with two kids under the age of 3 😹😹😹
Heidi and Taylor, you should do a video of your four-kid selves advising your two-kid selves. If you knew then what you know now... It would be a hoot! 💖
I had the worst experience ever trying to bring milk for my baby through security at LAX. Did all the research of the airline and TSA before hand, and it was still an issue. They did the complete pat down on me TWICE. I’m a thirty something mom with four little kids and apparently I looked like a threat. Whatever. We almost missed our flight. Anyway we were the last ones to board in the very back of the plane with an entire plane full of people pissed at us (like it was our fault). Super frustrating. But yeah. LAX employees don’t give a crap. Grew up in LA, was never so happy as when my husband and I decided to finally bite the bullet and my family escaped that prison state and moved in the middle of the pandemic.
I’m from Omaha.. Some of the nicest grandparents live there. Small terminal though compared to the others you travelled through. I agree that LAX is a shit show!! I try to avoid it as much as possible. Love your videos by the way
Another one that's good to go thru is Houston. Easy to get around & friendly folks. I'm not a good flyer & managed the one in Houston by my own during a difficult time for me personally.
I love seeing them have humor with each other through the airport ❤️ I've had tons of luck flying with my son but the tough times are Really tough flying baby and or toddler. Humor saves the day 😎
Serious question: how are you guys so calm doing this? You seem to be chill people in general, so maybe that's the key to flying with kids? I personally hate flying when it's just me and my husband and I feel like I'd need a Valium to go through what you guys just did! Do you have any tips and tricks? I'd love to travel with my future kids someday, but I just feel like my anxiety would make me an absolute nervous wreck. Also, how were people on the plane? Were they rude at all? I'm always perplexed by people who roll their eyes at crying babies on planes...like... they can't help it! Anywhoo, just wondering how I can be chill like you guys in a future situation :D
My response would be tons of food and snacks for the kids regardless of age. It keeps them occupied in the airport, on the plane, in the car there and back, everywhere. Your personal item is gonna be the diaper bag so you lose one bag that would normally be for yourself. Bring the (FAA-approved) car seat once they’re 1 or older and put them in it and just buy them a seat on the airplane. Gate check strollers and stuff so you can use them throughout the airport. Plus, they’ll put them right on the jet bridge when the plane arrives. Good luck!
I've always preferred United for flying. But i would NEVER go thru LAX. I prefer SFO, Sacramento & Houston. Im not much of a flyer (but if i can make it thru Houston & Sacramento by myself during a extremely difficult time in my life is good)
Dude.... at that age...the Grandparents come visit you. I always said to my husband...when I can make it through the airport by myself with two kids...then I am married to you for love...not necessity.
Wouldn't have been easier to pay for your parents to fly where you live at the see the kids instead of doing all what you had to do to get there and you got to turn around and come back
