Welcome to Airline Pilot Life 2021! In this video we look at setting up the B737 cockpit and what we do when things don’t work properly. Also, we get a tour of the pilot lounge in Phoenix and what we have available to us in our base. Finally, we get a chance to hear from my Chief Pilot and his words of advice for new pilots or those thinking of getting into the profession.

I just found your channel as I just passed my multi addon check ride. I'll admit that I was feeling a little down with all the uncertainty going on right now and not knowing what the future hold for us that will try very soon to try to get into the airlines. Hello, this is the first time I have seen a video of you, and as a retired pilot, I must tell you that I have loved the simplicity of your story. You have spoken for everyone, using only aeronautical language when necessary. Very nice, the assistant to the Chief Pilot as well. The FAA forbids video recording on US carriers during critical phases of flight. That's why you rarely see flightdeck videos from airlines like AA, DL, UA, WN, AS, etc. on yt.

@@FlyingwithBigErn Yes but I was training with Oxford Aviation Academy back in 2009. The training schools have changed their names so much, I can't keep track. I was there for about 5 months because of the much lower cost and better weather when compared with the UK. I flew the NG then A320 and possibly back on the NG with a potential start up. I have missed being in the sky but I am glad I've found your channel.
