I have relatives who believe Christians shouldn't listen to hard rock. I want to just show them the lyrics to this song. They'd probably just assume it's a church hymn lol
jen94 this album if i remember correctly, launched on the top of the charts in 5 categories, some top 5. a couple of Gospel categories, Alternative Rock, and Heavy metal or Hard rock... eh... go look it up. but its too late in the game for them to worry about that.... they have to give it up to faith and start worrying about whats coming. and what is already here. the battle lines are still being drawn, some are still choosing sides and plans are being mapped. its just a matter of the rest of the earth (flat?) finding out. love.
"Pat started playing this new song, and the words came out all at once. I’d been dealing with a conflict in my family and this song was born out of that moment. I got a phone call the next day that an amazing reconciliation had come within my family. Both the song and the situation started out painful and ended up glorious. This just proves to me how everything can work together for a greater good. Like a family fight turning into ’Beautiful Bride’, a song about unity." - Lacey (Flyleaf Bio)
Lyrics Unified diversity Functioning as one body Every part encouraged by the other No one independent of another You're irreplaceable, indispensable You're incredible, incredible Beautiful bride Body of Christ One flesh abiding Strong and unifying Fighting ends in forgiveness Unite and fight all division Beautiful bride Strengthen your arms now Train your fingers for battle Urgency's here now Train your fingers for battle Fighting this violence With your feet wrapped in peace Sad tears and silence Now screams of joy Victory Beautiful bride Body of Christ One flesh abiding Strong and unifying Fighting ends in forgiveness Unite and fight all division Beautiful bride Beautiful bride Body of Christ One flesh abiding Strong and unifying We're not gonna fall and forget How far You went to pick us up If one part's hurt the whole body's sick If one part mourns we all mourn with Him Rejoice, we'll sing with you Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah Beautiful bride Body of Christ One flesh abiding Strong and unifying Fighting ends in forgiveness Unite and fight all division Beautiful bride Beautiful bride Body of Christ One flesh abiding Strong and unifying Fighting ends in forgiveness Unite and fight all division Beautiful bride
Saw them in concert several years back in Knoxville. That was a blast. Having random strangers singing EVERY WORD of EVERY FLYLEAF SONG with you? That was a fun concert.
lol....all the comments about this video being about marriage between 2 people. This song is about the BODY OF CHRIST. HIS bride will beautiful, united, and spotless. Will HE return for a bride who has not waited for HIM or will HE find faith?
I absolutely love this song! As soon as I heard it, I thought, Wow, she's talking about the body of Christ (the Church), which Revelation refers to as the Bride of Christ. I love the symbology. And I love whats implied: We all really can't work without one another. This is a song about unity, which we should see more of. Because as a nation, no . . . as a world, full of all races and languages and religions, we couldn't be more separate. We all should unite under Christ, in truth. Great song!!!
I certainly would consider in a creator, given that EVERYTHING the creator and the prophets said would take place during this dark time in human history is undeniably occurring at this very moment and escalates astronomically everyday. The world has the opportunity at this time (that is soon to expire) to choose or deny the creator. I never understood how anyone could not believe in him and her given the proof. It's unbelievably sad that so many people don't believe in their creator because that means they don't believe there's immortal life. ALL HUMANS HAVE AN IMMORTAL SOUL! That means we live forever, amd forever is a very long time. It's rather ironic that some people believe in the devil but they deny the one who created this angel who chose the darkness over light. I'll choose life and my Heavenly Father anytime over darkness. Everyone has a choice to choose life or death. The curtain is about to close and time is running out for all of us. The circus has got to stop, too much pain, suffering and wickedness that evil man has caused and his creation is crying out to him. I pray that all souls will choose life and their creator. It will be misfortune to be separated from Gods grace and love during this evil amd wicked time. You see, God doesn't force or bully anyone into believing in him or accepting his love, it's a free choice. It's a miserable and dark place without him. Peace and much love to all.
@@Daughterzion7777 or respect that not everyone believes in that. I won't try to change your mind that god does not exist and you stop trying to convince people god does exist
Forgot about this song, how good it is and that it talks about the Church of God and His coming to pick her up. God bless you and greetings to all! 2018 and still listening to it!
I never understood why this song was never really played on the Radio even Christian Rock stations. It is one of their two or three greatest songs. I understand mainstream because it is blatant preachy (although mainstream had no problem with Jesus Freak) but why or why did Christian Rock radio not play it?
Brian Clendinen while most of the flyleaf songs maybe Christian biased they aren't labeled as a Christian band they more like inspirational not devotional.
Being as such it still does not explain the lack of Christian radio station play for the song. The Christian Rock stations play plenty of other flyleaf songs.
flyleaf is amazing, i really love them. I am an muslim girl, but i still listen to there music, her voice is incredibly beautiful, and their lyrics are so meaningful.
There is still plenty of room in God's house for anyone and everyone who seeks his refuge and it's completely free! Jesus is alive and loves us all very very much!
I love them since they debuted. Don't know why they don´t have many subs. But, they have millions of visits.... I don´t think I will follow them without Lacey .-. >< So, sorry.
Hmm. Million dollar non-profit idea. Churches that play this type of music, with a preacher like Lacey, or someone else, that can deliver God's message in a way that anyone can respect.
+Aaron Jerrell The lyrics (as for most of their songs) are actually quite Christian, and while the band itself is not labeled as a 'Christian band,' all the members are followers of Jesus Christ. :)
+Aaron Jerrell That doesn't even make sense, no one is talking about the song being in English. You mean that if you wrote a song about Latin ideals or something, that doesn't make you Latin? Still doesn't make sense because Latin is not something you choose to be. Have you even read the lyrics? If you wrote a song this heavily dependent upon a single subject, I would guess you are involved in whatever that subject is. Christianity is not a passing sub or even co-theme...it is what the entire song is about. It's impossible to reason what you meant by the song not being all that Christian, when that is exactly all that it is about, there is no other subject matter.
I'm scared that this video and all the other Momento Mori videos are gonna be taken down like Fully Alive, I'm So Sick, and All Around Me. I hope they don't. :c
The Jolly Crusader Just because he is from a place that ususally believs duznt mean he has to believe himself. I would gladly stand up for the american flag but that duznt mean i have to believe in god either. Flyleaf isnt just for christians.
Romans 12:5 and I also love how the lyrics "Strengthen your arms now Train your fingers for battle Urgency's here now Train your fingers for battle Fighting this violence With your feet wrapped in peace" can also make reference to armor of God in Ephesians.
I agree. Currently the body isn't functioning as one. They are all doing their own things instead of working together. Many are not operating in selfless love and considering others more than themselves. There has to be a move of God to change this...
As a kid i was trapped in my room 24/7 until i was around 10 because my dad was a piece of shit and my older brother gave me an mp3 player with flyleaf and a bunch of other songs. I remember this song and evanescence. This sort of stuff is all i listened to as a kid. That mp3 player was one of the only things i had
God bless 🙏 flyleaf he blessed her with such a beautiful heart and soul and she has such powerful voice I've been listening to her music since I was a teenager and I will always listen to her she is a gift to us from God and I hope and pray 🙏 that each and everyone of my brothers and sisters in Christ that you all are having a epic and blessed morning 💯
I didn't get wedding from the song especially "the fighting this violence" part. I just took it as 1Corinthians 12:12-27 as it's talking about being one body in Christ mainly. But also 2Corinthians 11:2, Matthew 11:12, Ephesians 6:10-18, and 2Corinthians 10:3-5. But I can see how it could come across as a wedding song.
I can't believe this is a/and Christian group! God uses his children in various ways. I'm sure they're music led a lot of ppl to Christ. They remind me of a Christian version of Paramore!!!!
Who plays the bride and the groom? There cool. Also what the heck is pat doing in this video? Lol he's just standing around smiling in a general suit, while everyone else is marching or holding guns. Lol hilarious
I'm writing a book (it'll be amatuer) and this song matches a chapter in it. It's when the main character, Alice, is being chased by zombies on her wedding day. It's called "Run". Then, in another part, ALice gets together with some guys and plans on blowing up a whole "army" of them. Chasm matches it.
@musicproducer16 Using Sturm's own words "Well, you know what? I don’t know what you mean by a “Christian rock band.” It’s hard to say that because people all have a different definition of what that means. If it means that we’re Christians, then yeah, we’re Christians, but if a plumber’s a Christian, does that make him a “Christian plumber?” I mean we’re not playing for Christians. We’re just playing honestly and that’s going to come out"
