I've just got a replacement under warranty as the battery contacts failed. I was told this is a common fault and as replacement batteries come in at around £100, I suggest that you handle with great care! Do not use to much force when putting the battery in the mower or charger. In my case, the battery kept popping out and the contacts got bent when I tried pushing it back in.
I've now got a yardforce cordless mower it's great yes I believe they had problems later on with the flymo battery hope it works ok for you thanks for watching
Good advice. Full charge on a NEW battery will last about 30 mins if you are lucky and about 20 mins under load. Pitty they don't do a 5 Amp Hour battery so as to get at least an hour out of it.
@@TH-ns5mb Very true. To do my garden I have to charge it 4 times before completion. Spare battery????? None existance.... or if it did it is the same price as buying a complete system... I am afraid it is the last time for me
I have just bought it this afternoon and it’s a great little machine. I panicked when I saw the comments about the obsolete battery. I have just live chatted to an agent at flymo and the still do supply them. Part no FLY589627701. Stock no 3040828OH. Hope this helps.
