@@38201270298 sometimes the ball can be a pain the butt to get levitating, but other than that it good. you can slightly hear the motor if you get close to it and have ball moving at top speed. but even then, i have to get really close to it.

i'm sorry to tell you that there is no way to control basic functions without the app (at least i know of now). the factory settings are presented at 2:35. it will stay that way without the app.

freezingbarn thanks for the quick response. That’s a shame, for €799 I want a clock that will work forever, or at least until it’s internal parts stop working. Reliance on an app that needs the company to update is just too risky for me. They could cease trading at any point or chose to stop supporting the app for commercial reasons.

you are right. the only chance i can think of right now to control it without the smartphone app, would be if there is an windows/mac software which lets you set up the clock when connected via bluetooth. or connect via wifi to a local webserver... because there is that connectivity as well. just for firmware updates right now, but maybe they make this feature available sometime. you know what... i will a get in contact with them and find out if there is something planned for the future!

Sorry Andrew, i can't answer that really because i sold my clock a year ago. But i'm pretty shure the people at flyte are willing to answer your questions when you email them. Cheers!

the wood is just a thin layer, i would say about 1 millimeter. so the LEDs can easily shine through when they are placed right behind the wood layer.

Thanks @@freezingbarn I would say it has the right price for amount of tech and creativity involved in it. Unfortunately i don't have the money to afford for it now.

i'm not sure about the price. i think it's targeted to customers who are focused on the design of things rather than on the tech. and those people are willing to pay more. regarding the build quality it's definitly overpriced. just my opinion.

@@freezingbarn not really an issue a misunderstanding. I'm sending it back because (it's a bit complicated to explain) When I originally backed the project, i wanted the walnut version, but at the time it was a bit more expensive tier, and as a student I couldn't afford that, so I chose the ash, and contacted Flyte vi KS PM if it was possible to pay them after the campaign to get the walnut version? They replied that it was no problem and that I wouldn't have to pay the extra difference, I just had to let them know in the survey that I wanted the walnut, and if there was any doubt, they would remember this message. So then the backer survey came sometime after update 11 and as you know in 11 they changed ash to oak wood, (even though the survey still Said ash 🙄) I already had some furniture before the campaign in oak, so I thought oh well, I like this change I'm gonna keep my original pledge of the ash (now oak) So then came the confirmation email that my unit was sent this week, and gratefully enough they remembered that I wanted the walnut, which is great. But since I liked oak more, I asked to return walnut as soon as it arrived, and recieve the oak instead? They said yes, and we both apologized for the misunderstanding. So I sent my unit back the same day it arrived. TL;DR I changed my mind, because they changed thier material, and I sent the walnut back, to receive the oak instead, because it fits nicely with my oak furniture.

Their website says 799. But yeah, not worth it!

l'unico bug che ho trovato era un proiettile danneggiato. ma questo è stato scambiato senza esitazione. purtroppo non conosco l'italiano, per questo è stato tradotto con google. ;)

Where does it say 60 watt? At 7:30 you can see that i measured 25 watt max. Still a lot for a clock

@@RasmusSchultz a 60 watt power supply does not mean a 60 watt usage, it just means that the power supply can pull a maximum of 60 watt of electricity, and even then the optimal use of a power supply is half of the maximum wattage, in this case no more than 30 watt.

You can remove my comment, i found that on facebook i saw your clock and when i clicked on the link it showed me your clock so i paid via paypal and found out that this is a copy from yaumen so please be careful. They use your video and put there link. Sorry for the bitching on your product.
