Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on August 7 said that there has been "substantial tax relief" for middle class in last two years. Replying in Lok Sabha, Sitharaman begins her address by listing out all the measures that have been taken by the government for the middle class. "In the last two years, substantial relief has been given to the middle class." Sitharaman also said that there will be a comprehensive review of the rate structure of indirect taxes in the next 6 months. She added that the proposals in the tax segment in her Budget 2024 speech are based on the approach to bring in greater simplification of tax laws and are technology-driven.

Corporates tax reduced to 22.5% .Corporates can get input GST.Angel tax abolished for HNIs and Corporates.Recruitment stopped in PSU and govt sector.Now corporates can use CSR fund for APPRENTICE program in her budget.Now Recruitment will be stopped in pvt sector also.Even medical reimbursement is considered as income for Middle class.Motto of FM is "OF THE CORPORATE BY THE CORPORATE AND FOR THE CORPORATE"

lol I earn 5.4 Lakhs per year and I consider myself as middleclass. Anybody earning over 10 Lakhs per year are hardly middleclass. You belong to the top 3% of the 10% salaried class of India. The per capita income is around 2300$ or 16000₹ per month.

Now direct tax to be removed for salaried employees as every citizen is liable to pay indirect tax. Also if govt want to tax the take it from employer. The emplyer should give employee in hand salary as CTC as there is no point showing big amount as CTC as giving to govt. Also it is an extra job for an employee to identify the CA and file tax and pay the tax filing fee to CA.

#Nirmala Sitharanan … Rethink on taxation of house property… what makes you think Indexation is not required while the property rates would increase higher than inflation Previous government promoted tax savings through house property. Investment in a property is made with tax planning horizon of 20 years… when you make changes in house property taxation, make it prospective… you can say that properties purchased after 1July 2025 would not have Indexation benefits… how can you repeal the act with retrospective effect… salaried people buy property only with white money unlike business income people. BJP government restricted the loss from rented house property to 2 lakhs… restricted carry forward of losses on house property… shame on you! You talk about taxation systems of various advanced and developed countries but you do not offer the benefits of same developed countries as relief to people… what kind of justice is this to common salaried people?

Ma'am, We all citizen would appreciate for your all good work , Also We all would welcome if the government could check tax implied on bank deposit, small savings scheme like PF, EPF, ELSI. Which basically demotivates middle class citizens from saving plans. Instead of motivating middle class from saving. If we are penalized with taxes. Then saving mind set will disappear . Our citizens will start taking loans to fullful their commitment in short term. and all their money will be finished in paying loans. This shouldn't be an ideal situation for any Indian citizens. ALSO CST AND GST APPLIED ON LOANS AND ITS INTEREST ALSO FOR LATE PAYMENT IN BANKING SECTORS. IT'S NOT FAIR AND WISE PRACTICE. THANK YOU. OM SAI RAM

Dear FM, Tax system should be as Employee tax: ~10lk: 5% 10-20lk: 10% 20-30lk: 15% above 30lk: 25% Employer tax: ~25 lk: 20% 25-50lk: 25% above 50lk: 30% Corporate tax: Fix 25% Agriculture tax: Fix 5% All CG tax: Fix 12.5%

Still people want to opt for old tax regime (defined by congress gov ) since it is beneficial over new regime. You haven't actually done anything for middle class in last 10 years.

30% direct tax’s + 25 GST, surcharges and other taxes + 12 % PF which again will be taxed later. Employee will be left with only 33% of their earnings. This is her calculation. Great finance minister of India. She is following her husband’s agenda of getting down bjp and Modi

Congress seh better karne ke lie aapko vote dia tha madam, aapneh toh aur karab kar dia.!! Compare karti ho toh batao phele LTCG nahi tha abhi kyu laga dia.? Indexation hata dia.!! Only bcz she is not educated to be a FM, this has happened. All bcz demat accounts has increased to 4cr, they have increased tax 20% on STCG & LTCG. What a way to motivate people for mutual funds.!! Simplification of Income-tax upto 5laks nil , 5to 10 lakhs 5%,10to 15lakhs 10%, 15to20lakhs 15%, 20to 25lakhs 25 %, morethan 25 lakhs 30%. Simple. This is for new tax regime 😊
