Thanks for this. There's next to no info out there on dynamics and mindset, especially on SI's own "guide" which is about three words long. My squad is currently unbalanced. I had plenty of hard workers, leaders and thinkers but only two on relaxed, which the game says that one minority mindset is too small a group to have an effect. I made some signings and now five are relaxed, but it's still unbalanced. Weird because the affinity thing shows good for relaxed and average for all others. Even weirder is how my principles include dedication and teamwork lol. I've no idea how I'd get anywhere near to developing a well oiled machine. I'm guessing the principles and buy-in will help change mindsets over time, so I'm not sure how I'd balance it out. How do relaxed players fit into a side lacking ability but who work their absolute hardest to achieve success? I've had a good, steady uptick in buy-in over the last season as we've performed far beyond expectations for the second year in a row. Many players are now up to devoted. I've only lost bits here and there after conceding several goals, or when my goalies are fighting over who should be the clear first choice. Does this mean they're getting more boosts from the principles (or vice versa) and will develop more accordingly, or does it only affect their tendency to sign a contract? Thanks for enduring my waffling and rambling lol
Hi RL thanks for the comment. My theory is that because FM has been running on the PC for years, they have lots of data on how the Ai responds to the hundreds of situations that occur in game. Because the Console version has only been available for a short time, they have not been able to amass the data and therefore their own guides are very limited. The upshot is that we as players have to help each other figure things out. I think there is a certain amount of luck in picking the principles and then bringing players in that align with those principles, I have to admit that I am still learning about all of this, there is a massive difference in the the way the dynamics work in the PC version and the console, and where I know the dynamics inside out in the PC version, the console version is taking some getting used to. In the latest episode of the Wigan save I have given a few further tips on things that I have learnt while playing the game as I am by no means an expert on the console version.
Don`t think you can interact with players before the game, when the game is underway, between highlights you can select the player and you can make comments to them from there
