Welcome to episode 7 of my FM24 Saving Southend story. We begin our one club story with Southend United in non-league. We have a points deduction, transfer embargo and a threadbare squad, but can we stay up in our first season before heading on a road to glory? In episode 7, we're back with transfer window news as we try to bolster our squad on deadline day. We're also two games from Wembley in the FA Trophy, as we face Dorking Wanderers in the Quarter Final.

I've told you about my Southend save on ea24 in my international cup friendly fixture I lost 8 1 to Fleetwood not as good has you great video yet again

Great episode today. Always love a good cup run and the form of the lads looks very solid. If not for the points deduction we had to start on, playoffs would be guaranteed I think. It is still quite early in the save and overall life of the game but how are you finding the advertised changed to player movement on the pitch and the ai transfer market? I dont own the game personally so cant really test it myself but from what I saw in your FM23 saves I think the changes are noticable

The match engine is a thing of beauty compared to previous years, honestly. I didn't think the FM23 match engine was great, but this year's edition looks good. The way blocks, deflections and ball physics have been changed make such a huge difference to the feel of the game. Best FM match engine ver, by some distance, for me. Just hope they don't ruin it with patches! 🤞

I am also doing Southend save since they’re my local team, however just lost 5-1 at home to flyde and Ndi can’t catch a ball for me, suggestions?

I had to set up in a fairly reserved manner. Nothing beyond balanced as we just got tore apart, even when chasing games. I've had more success playing with the extra defender away from home or against really aggressive teams, but it's partly patience at this level. 👍
