Forest Master FM6DD Compact Petrol Wood Chipper (Direct Drive) 6HP.
It's capable of chipping wood up to 50mm (2 inches in diameter) and features a powerful LCT engine which can rotate the chipper drum at a maximum of 3600RPM. As well as being high powered, the chipper weighs only 38KG and is easily manoeuvrable. patent-pending (GB2008049.5).

Very well, I bought it precisely for this and I'm very pleased. It can cut up to about 3-4cm fresh wood, anything bigger than that I save for the wood stove. Very satisfied with the machine.

Hello Forest master people. I know this is an odd question, but, do you think your machine (the 240v one similar in size to this one) would shred pvc cable strippings? I used to have a cheap machine that I bought from Aldi many years ago that did the job. It recently broke and I was looking to replace it with a better one. Thanks in advance.

Do speed force woodchippers come from forest masters? Or are they a knock off? They look the same, only speed force is available on amazon, and forest masters comes up when I typed in "speed force wood chipper review" here on youtube.... what's the relation?

I understand that there is a problem if it is used with an electric cable over 10 meters!?

Hi, there are no issues in regard to extension leads with the petrol chipper. We recommend using a meter less than 10 meters with the FM4DDE (electric chipper counterpart) to maintain full power and efficiency as you're effectively losing a volt of energy for every meter of cable. However, this is all dependent on the starting mains voltage. We've known customers use 20/30m extension leads with no issues.

How is this on hedge cuttings ie privet griesalinea.

Hi Owen, the chipper will pretty much deal with any green waste as long as it's not dripping wet. You may not get a fine mulch from Griesalinea but you can feed it through twice or hold back on the material as you're feeding it in. This will produce thinner chippings/shreddings.

@@owenkavanagh4875 Great! The chipper is in two boxes but will arrive together. Deliveries to Dublin are usually up to around three working days but there's a good chance that you'll receive it next working day.

@@owenkavanagh4875 Yes, it will chip bamboo canes but because bamboo is a hardwood, you will wear the blades more quickly and will need to sharpen them.

Hi David, this is an earlier design of the FM6DD model. We switched to the new smaller wheels in an attempt to make it more lightweight and compact. The new wheels perform perfectly for manoeuvring the chipper as well as fitting to the small and compact design.
