I feel like Leon could walk into my home studio and in 10 minutes have my perfect rig setup that I’ve currently been trying to master for 6 months, a quick man hug, tap on the shoulder and a, “There ya go legend, no worries!”
Leon - hey man, just a quick note of thanks for all you do… I really enjoy your content and how you do your videos. Perfect blend of professional and to the point, and personality. Thank you.
Although I'm pretty satisfied with my kitchen sink preset as it stands now, I still enjoy watching you work through blocks and settings, I always feel like I've learned something after watching one of your videos.
Thanks, Leon! Another inspiring video-I enjoy hearing your thought process on how you create the tones, and how they’re laid out on the FM9 vs the FM3 for when you play that unit live.
Don't have the hardware but I still have watched from start to finish. If I wouldn't be sure that I would get option paralysis on something like the FM9, you would be the one to convince me to take the plunge. Your delays here are particularly tasty. Great video, Leon!
Incredible as always! Are you fully switching to the FAS Blue Stealth now? I love the tone of it. Just got 8.0 installed, so I will need some time to play with it.
Always love these vids, bit late to comment, grabbed a solar V this week....so I'm a whole day behind because I had to take a day to get to know it 😂🤘🙏🎸
@@LeonTodd two high gain humbuckers( really good) with 500k pots, 24 jumbo frets, rolled edge techwood? (Fake ebony) Fretboard with satin neck, matte while body....it's the affordable S by solar, read online they can be hit and miss with QC, but I tested all in store and found a stable little pearler.🙏🤘🎸
Am just catchin back up , traveled to anotherstate to pick up a motorcycle i always wanted and got stuck with an extra 500 dollar truck bill when it just stopped and wouldn't start again .. but got the coolest bike copied after the 650 triumphs... Then coming back with the bike my oil pressure kept dropping going 200 miles over mountain passes.. wasnt sure i was going to make it back . but the bikes like having a beautiful vintage guitar .. and im sure its going to outlast my truck.... So its worth it .. i cant believe it didnt just blow up so maybe its a bad sensor.. i babied it all the way back and cant believe i made it.. looks like I'll be making excuses riding more than playing.. so will be giving you more play time and keep on playing catch up with your long hair..getting close..its old man shiney silver like i always wanted .. I could try out for the hairy Potter wizard... Lol.. you can be the black haired wizard since you play the guitar like a wizard so well mate. You will be hard to beat with that Axe.. especially if you put some wheels on it..Keep lupin happy now and then and play once in awhile for your biggest fan thats glad to see you back as we are . ❤
OK...OK...I'll upgrade. Fine. You win. 🤣 In the meantime, buy this preset, some of your other presets and pitched you a $10 to. Keep rockin! I still love my OG Axe-FX II but have been considering upgrading for a bit just for some new toys to play with. Now...FM9 or Axe III...hmmm...
@@LeonTodd It's served me VERY well for (I just realized!) 7 years to the day on the 5th!! Got it September 5th, 2017!! Ha! Jeez...how time flies... Anyway...might be time to pass it on...or maybe I'll just keep it. Dunno yet. Keep up the good work!! 🤘
FM9 or Axe III? The deciding factor for me was that I knew I was going to be running a rack anyway, if only for my wireless, so I might as well suck it up, stay in the rack and go Axe III. If you're not chained to the idea of having a rack, the FM9 is almost certainly adequate and might save a bit of $$$.
I dunno I like your dry or base setting at 3:10 more than anything else, gets too busy, too confusing, too much is too much... for me right? my ear, perfect for others tho I am sure... but I like thick n' greasy, a lil shimmer maybe, I do like some harmonic feedback tho.. nice n thick, plenty of sustain and attack..
