A person can get off a lot of rounds very quickly with an AR-15. What bothers me is that the counter-sniper team let him fire at all. They clearly had him in their scopes. Couldn't they see that he had a gun? My guess is that due to all the communications failures they might have thought he was an LEO. When he started firing they suddenly realized that was not the case and too k him out.

No wonder they “didn’t see” the guy for half an hour but were able to take him out within 10 seconds AFTER he made the 8 shots… they took him out with only one shot between his eyes within seconds…
@@AN-nm1zy Three of the 8 shots have a different audio signature than the following 5. And 5 shots were counted on body cam, then the FBI agent says "No one else on this roof!" Then there's a break in body cam footage (12 minutes go by unfilmed). And then they count the remaining 3. And a test was done in a similar position with similar angles and minus an unusual alteration of weapon, the bullets should have ended up on the north side - with the 5 bullets.
This goes all the way up to the White House, Joe Biden. The Secret Service would not have done this on their own. They would have had been told to do this from the White House

The PA Swat team chief (Patrick Young) says that this isn't true and that they were assigned in the two rooms with windows further away (without view of the roof that Crooks climbed up on) and with a vantage point on the ground level, looking into the crowd. There was no directive to monitor the roof, he says. Who's telling the truth and who - if anyone - was in the room with the best view of the roof where Crooks were? PA officials deny that snipers were told to man the roof. Where was the command center?

Why didn't they tell the public that a police officer took a shot at crooks at the roof even before the secret service sniper took his shot. The secret service is still hiding information and the time line doesn't make sense.
That Copenhaver video is crucial in showing that the counter snipers didn’t do their job. There is zero chance they missed a dude running on a roof like he did. The second he was sighted, the minimum action would be to order Trump off the stage. The second option was to take the threat down, if perceived as an imminent danger to the asset. If there’s doubt, you still secure Trump in the hardened vehicle. Then investigate the dude on the roof. They did neither.

The main USSS leadership issues were lack of communication, lack of personnel and lack of use of technology. A 20-year-old gunman had a technological advantage over a $3 billion/year federal agency with more than 8100 employees (whereof 3200 agents and 1300 uniformed officers) for protection of just 31 people. When I pulled guard duty in the corp any suspicious activity or person spotted immediately put the base on lockdown! All high ranking officers took cover and all staff military and civilian stayed in doors until the threat was cleared or neutralized! We were on alert when on post and tested multiple times by force recon!

When the local police saw him on the roof with a gun. THERE WAS NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN SECRET SERVICE AND LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT, AND THAT WAS BY DESIGN. THAT WAS ON PURPOSE.
He was a threat at 4:26. Read the text message and watch the footage of the witness who saw his parked van. He was allowed to park in a blocked off area near the counter-sniper team, then following the counter-snipers and noticing their movement with their rifles. A text message went out basically saying this. (“Someone followed our lead and snuck in and parked by our cars just so you know,” a counter-sniper texted a colleague as he headed out around 4:26 p.m.) "Just so you know" is the kind of thing you say when you've already been ignored and given strange feedback in a working environment. You know they won't do anything, but you feel like doing your part and telling them - so a guy might say, "Just so you know...,the Boeing supervisor said the parts are fine but they're STILL not fitting properly..."
The guest misses the point. The question is not what could have happened in previous events that did not have USSS counter snipers. The question is why this event had USSS counter snipers. The best counters snipers were at this event, but everything else about this event was "incompetent". Why was that?
