With Windows 10 dll files, the classic free Flying Model Simulator is still a very economical way to hone your basic RC model flying skills. Using a dedicated USB RC controller or the Gavin 6A transmitter that comes with Dynam Smart Ready to Fly model packages and a inexpensive USB cable, you'll be well on your way to mastering RC flight.

Thank you for this great video. It may be mentioned that you have to copy the .dll file to the Windows SysWOW64 folder if you are running a 64bit windows, after this little change the program runs great with my 4-channel TWF HOBBY 0905A E_sky controller.

Great video and very informative in details. I have downloaded sim program from a different video link and it works perfectly with Flysky-i6X controller. I used same USB cable came with the transmitter therefore there is no need to buy a special cable.

In case you download the ZIP on the Manual page of the 6ch sim controller and notice it only has the FMSSetup.exe .... you can find the complete package (including the DLL and PDF) under the 8ch sim controller in the RAR file (another version of ZIP, but WinZip25 will open) that contains all files ... at least as of today!

I am using win10 it dose not detect the cable and red light just keeps on blinking what to do??

System, make sure you download the compressed file that includes the Windows driver. As I recall, once unzipped the .dll file goes into two folders in the system folder. Reboot and it should work. It is one of the downsides to older software. Cheers.

Thank you for help to install the program, but I have one question, I couldn't connect the detrum 6A, the fms not have any reaction to the controller. What can I do?

I have downloaded the FMS sim. I connected the dongle between my laptop and a Spektrum DX6i radio but the sim does not detect the radio. Did I miss something?

There is a .dll fule that is need we d for Windows computers. It is included in one of the Bitgo downloads. I don't recall what sim product page had it. It was part of a zip or rar file.

Point the antenna towards the front of the aircraft

I'm assuming you mean to help maintain orientation. In the sim that might work but with an actual flying model you don't want to put the aircraft in the antenna null area. I think a better technique is to just hold the transmitter normally and develop the hand eye coordination to figure out left and right using all the free crashes the sim allows you. As with any new skill it can take a bit of practice or it might come naturally as it did to someone else commenting here.

Is there helicoptors in this sim? Looking for a decent sim that I can practice 3d flight for my trex 450pro. The problem is all I have is an old windows 10 computer that doesnt have a dedicated memory graphics card. It's just a generic Walmart hp laptop. Any recommendations?

I would like to build my own simulator to verify that my unique scale-model proof-of-concept experimental VTOL ducted fan design will fly. It's designed in Robert McNeel & Associates Rhinoceros 3D CAD. I'm fairly proficient in Python. Are there any generic templates? Should I use a game engine to start with? TIA.

You might have better luck with Real Flight. I don't use it but it is supposed to have a great deal of model control variables.

@@GadgetTalk4U Thanks. I doubt that it would have anything close. No trial version that I could see that I could poke around with. I'm probably going to have to generate it from a pre-existing game engine, such as Unity.

Hi, i have a flysky-i6 model, can I use FMS usb simulator for learning fly by ur showed progrm? I downloaded the file on Manual tab, but there no dll files, just FMS setup what I should do? or is this FMS simulator cabel adapted to use for any simulator program like aerofly rc-7? it's my first transmitter, i hope your help Thanks

I last looked a couple weeks ago and the zip file had the program and dll files. I'm not familiar with your transmitter. The connector is the big question. Since they are cheap, you may want to get the sim set with the controller. It is probably worth the poyential aggravation.

Hello there. Yes you can TRY using trainer USB cable came with transmitter. I have -i6X controller and used trainer cable came with it. I downloaded a FMS link from another video on youtube and was straight forward download. Rest of it was followed as shown here and works perfectly. .

Yes, pretty much. "Any" is big range but I've used several no name usb controllers, the Detrum radio in the review and when just getting started, I used a PC game pad.

It would be cheaper for me to just buy a micro cp that can take crashes then it would be for me to build or buy a gaming computer and then spend $200 on realflight or something. But if I can use my current computer and buy a cheap sim I might go that route. All the high end sims say you need a graphics card with dedicated memory for the card. I dont even own a desktop that I could throw a card in.

There are a couple of helos in the sim. I have an older laptop with embedded graphics and I didn't get a very good result with the helos. I also tried it on my gaming PC and didn't have much better luck. The planes work well especially for a beginner but the included helos -- not so much.

Im weird i never ever had to learn orientation. Its crazy its like i was born with it. Anyway i just got an fms mxs green plane.
