The lyrics to the song: “90 years without slumbering tick tock tick tock His life seconds numbering Tick tock tick tock But it cut Short Never to go again When the old Man Died” For anyone wondering
As someone who never played FNAF for the most part but one time listened to this on repeat for 3 hours I genuinely struggled to remember where I knew this from because it feels like something I would have had in my room as a child
I knew the puppet music a few years before the fnaf movie so this is not the reason. I am a real fnaf fan and i don't like the puppet music box just because of the movie and i didn't hear the puppet song in the credits.
Just finished watching it too, I think Garrett is the puppet which I think is the meaning of the message or probably means that the puppet will be in the fnaf sequel
I remember being horrified of the music box but now, when I look back, it just feels sentimental. I remember the puppet always having been my favorite character because of how naturally creepy they were, and I remember only liking the puppet more after listening to “It’s Been So Long” lol. I never really played most of the games until recently, other than FNaF 2, but I always loved to see what the community created with these characters and stories. While the games are great, I personally feel like the fandom and content creators who built off of the franchise were what actually made it as special as it was when I was younger. I remember loving Sister Location before even playing it, because of all the let’s-plays and reiterations of it, but when I played it for the first time in a while, it felt so short and like it was lacking a lot of story. I feel like this shows how a community is capable of making a franchise even more than it actually is.
yeah but i think the problem is that there is a whole bunch of animatronics in the 2nd one you gotta count the witherds, toys, and puppet mangle and more so its gonna take a long time from now but they are gonna do it i know they will.
*90 years without slumbering, tick tock tick, his life seconds numbering, tick tock tick, but it stopped, short never to go again when the old man died.*
Does it mean the puppet is an old man and that he wants his music box turned on....so that he wont die.....so I’m thinking....was the puppet a kid or an old man...
Lyrics : My grandfather's clock was too large for the shelf So it stood ninety years on the floor It was taller by half than the old man himself Though it weighed not a pennyweight more It was bought on the morn of the day that he was born And was always his treasure and pride But it stopped, short never to go again When the old man died Ninety years without slumbering His life seconds numbering It stopped, short never to go again When the old man died My grandfather said that of those he could hire Not a servant so faithful he found For it wasted no time and had but one desire At the close of each week to be wound And it kept in its place, not a frown upon its face And its hands never hung by its side But it stopped short, never to go again When the old man died It rang and alarmed in the dead of the night An alarm that for years had been dumb And we knew that his spirit was pluming for flight That his hour for departure had come Still the clock kept the time with a soft and muffled chime As we silently stood by his side But it stopped short, never to go again When the old man died Ninety years without slumbering His life seconds numbering It stopped short, never to go again When the old man died
My sister has this music box, the tone is a little lower though. It started making noise by itself when I was home alone. It was just the mechanisms inside, but I hid in my room for the rest of the night xD
i would do the same actually I avoid playing fnaf at night because I get so scared that an animatronic is going to come barging in my room and kill me and I also avoid listening to this at night to because the Marionette killed me 6 times so I even hate going out of my room from 12am to 6am because I'm scared
I've played so much FNAF 2 and this song is actually very calming. In a game where the other 10 animatronics are constantly on your ass during later nights. The few seconds where you get to go away from all of that to press one button has made this song quite soothing.
Last night, this song kept playing over and over in my head to the point where I could’ve sworn I actually heard it in the house. I didn’t sleep very well last night
Its either your siblings trying to scare you or Puppet’s actually in your house, keep clean of the pop goes the weasel and if you’re alone well then you’re doomed
THIS SONG IS HELPING ME SLEEP anyone else?? *yawns* (Edit 2020: holy shit. I’m 15 now and it’s still helping me. Highschool sucks so insomnia is keeping me awake)
"Ninety years without slumbering tick tock tick His life seconds numbering tick tock tick But it stopped, short, never to go again When the old, man, died"
The Real lyrics: My grandfather's clock was too large for the shelf, So it stood ninety years on the floor; It was taller by half than the old man himself, Though it weighed not a pennyweight more. It was bought on the morn of the day that he was born, And was always his treasure and pride; But it stopp'd short, never to go again When the old man died. In watching its pendulum swing to and fro, Many hours had he spent while a boy; And in childhood and manhood the clock seemed to know And to share both his grief and his joy. For it struck twenty-four when he entered at the door, With a blooming and beautiful bride; But it stopp'd short, never to go again When the old man died. *Ninety years, without slumbering (tick, tock, tick, tock), His life seconds numbering (tick, tock, tick, tock), It stopp'd short never to go again, When the old man died. My grandfather said of those he could hire, Not a servant so faithful he found; For it wasted no time, and had but one desire At the close of each week to be wound. And it kept in its place not a frown upon its face, And its hands never hung by its side. But it stopp'd short, never to go again When the old man died. It rang an alarm in the dead of the night An alarm that for years had been dumb; And we knew that his spirit was pluming for flight That his hour of departure had come. Still the clock kept the time, with a soft and muffled chime, As we silently stood by his side; But it stopp'd short, never to go again When the old man died.
Lyrics: Ninety years without slumbering Tick tock, tick tock His life seconds numbering Tick tock, tick tock It stopped short never to go again When the old man died (Music box repeats over and over)
Funny story. I play viola and one of the first songs they teach when you're a kid is "grandfather's clock", because it helps to learn what oeft hand pizzicato is. In my conservatory, we have concerts for each teacher, not each course, which means people from all ages play in the same concert, and I've had to listen to a lot of kids butchering this over the years.
Ninety years without slumbering, Tick, tock, tick, tock, His life seconds numbering, Tick, tock, tick, tock, It stopped short Never to go again, When the old man died. Edit: I just scrolled down and saw someone else did it before me. 😓
Me and my friend made something as a joke, he would play this in the classroom when students would sleep, then I'd turn on my bluetooth speaker and play the Puppet roaming sound, then the jumpscare sound. My teacher looked at all the sleeping students and just said; “Should've kept the music box wound up.” Senior year is the best
*Why do you* *Keep flicking between* *The cams and vents* *Why won't you* *Let me out* *So that* *We can play* *But tonight...* *I think... that you will...* *For-get* *My* *Box.* I just made these lyrics myself, don't steal.
Charlotte Leeser Actually really cool since the actual lyrics are about an old man watching his clock tick the seconds until his soon to come, inevitable death.
When you forget about the game, this is a lovely tune. It sounds amazing when everything is silent and all you can hear is the music box. Makes me remember fun memories.

@@toast3369 really XD I pretty much threw my poor phone when I got jumpscared by the Puppet in Fnaf 2. Here's how it happened: Me: doesn't wind music box on purpose so I can see a Easter egg. Me: oh it didn't work. Me: oh frick. *Puppet jumpscares me* *Practically throws phone*
