@@mariotheundying this shows a total misunderstanding of the character. Moon is not "evil", it's heavily implied that he's messed up because of glitchtrap. He and sun also aren't the same, they're separate people. He's not "another sun" he's more like.... one half of a pair of twins. Similar in some ways, sure, but still very different and able to think fully independent from each other. It was never "obvious" at all
If they show up again in the future we may probably hear sun and moon still. Eclipse is both of them but they can still individually talk, at least for sun it seems. (Implied by the fact that sun says “Thank you” after eclipse brings you outside). Either that or it was just sun’s dying last word before fusing with moon. Both seem probable
My headcanon says the attendant switches between modes for different emotions or purposes. He was specifically designed that way. He was meant for the theater after all.
Kellen does such a good job voicing these two- uh, three? These three were already my favourite characters, but seeing sun’s terrified, yet somber voice gave me chills the first time I heard it. Eclipse doesn’t sound how I imagined him, but I love him regardless and sun’s little “thank you” at the end was so cute. I love these guys so much!!
I may be wrong, but I think the reboot fixed whatever was making Moon violent, as I'm pretty sure Eclipse is supposed to be the two of them merged together... which would also explain his voice sounding sort of like a gentle mixture of both voices. Again though, I could be entirely wrong. That's just a theory... A GAME THEORY!!!

I wanted to hug Sundrop SO badly man. He sounded so depressed and sad 😭 I’m happy we got to help him and Moondrop by ridding of whatever made Moondrop go into a frenzy in the first place. The Eclipse part had me smiling, and when the “thank you” line was spoken… Sun sounded so exhausted but relieved. I love how everyone always says “you’re welcome” in response.

I don't know if u heard when SB first came out, people wish there was an Open For Bussiness mode where you could just run around the pizza plex like in opening hours and go play in the daycare with sun. I wish we had that :(

Before SB came out, I was NOT a fan of hoe Freddy looked, he looked like a wrestler or something, didn't care for his voice in the trailer either. But when I saw Moon I instantly loved his design and decided he was my favorite character, then the game came out and I fell in love with Freddy and Sun for their personalities, not just Sun's look, but the voices and everything. And I was so upset that we barely saw Sun in the game and that we never got an explanation why he was good when the others weren't. I mean, with Freddy we knew he was good because he just happened to be rebooted in safe mode. So was Sun always in Safe Mode? Or was there something else that made him good? I wanted to see more of him and know more about him, so I talked to a friend of mine and she told me how much she loved Sun and Moon as well and that they were extremely popular with people in the Fandom. Totally blew my mind when she said that because one of my guy friends didn't even like looking at them because he said they reminded him (especially Moon) of a character from Hunter X Hunter named Hisoka. XD
sun is now officially in my top 3 favorite animatronics in the whole franchise. something about the way he thanked us after being rebooted, he took the time to switch back to sun and thank us. as usual, kellen did a fazerific job with the voice acting
I noticed a couple things: For one thing, neither Sun nor Moon really sound like robots. Don't get me wrong they sound great. But Sun has an ethereal effect like what you would expect of a ghost, weird effect for a robot. And Moon's voice doesn't just sound garbled, it sounds weirdly wet. Especially when he's struggling, you can hear a distinct swallowing noise. That's not a robot noise. Again, phenomenal voice acting for both, just odd execution. Secondly, for all the fear and strain Sun gives off, that "Thank you" carries with it not just relief, but a feeling as if a burden of the world was taken off. It sounded like the relief of someone who was tired as all hell, broken down, and probably still in a lot of pain, but finally able to stop, lay down and rest. That's one weighty thank you. Phenomenal voice acting.

Sun is the best boy. His part of the game was the best part of the entire DLC. Hearing him sing that song broke my heart, but hearing him say thank you fixed it. Gotta say, I didn't expect Eclipse to have a new voice. I honestly also didn't expect him to STAY Eclipse. Kinda has me worried we would never see or hear Sun or Moon again, but since we hear what is very clearly Sun's voice through the doors thanking us, I guess that is not the case?
Is it just me or is Sun the only one aware that the plex is not going to be fixed and no one is coming back, unless its because Roxanne was blinded before the place was destroyed so she doesn't know everything is destroyed, but i still think Sun has more adaptive AI then the others
I think Moon probably knows too... he probably enjoys it as well since he mostly gets free roam of the place! Unless ofc Eclipse is Sun and Moon merged as opposed to being a third personality... in which case neither of them know which is honestly really sad.

When I met Kellen Groff at the 2022 RICC, I asked him if it was harder to voice Sun, or Funtime Freddy. He then proceeded to give a breif explaination to how he both voices while in character. This short interaction definitely solidified Sun as my absolute favorite animatronic in the franchise, followed by Funtime Freddy, and Rockstar Freddy. Kellen is an absolute S-Tier voice actor, and I can't wait to see how he'll further impact the FNAF series. The answer was Funtime Freddy btw, on the account of him being a much more phsychotic character compared to Sun's nasily cheerful expression.

I like Eclipse as an alternative personality. He and Roxy seem to be the only sane animatronics around. Monty is pretty much dead after electrocution and all the damage. Chica just is although I expected more of her, but she naps in a bathroom. Freddy is nowhere to be seen but a prototype version that's hardly him. Only two characters are reliable now. Not sure how the story will move from here. The DLC left more questions than answers.
Chica may as well be considered dead with how much she ends up powering down lol. Regarding the last part of the comment, I’d like that if there is another game with Cassie, (assuming the elevator ending is canon) that game would involve her repairing the animatronics. Not to the point where they once were before Vanny took over, but just enough so that they’re functional and actually back to their senses. Perhaps if that’s not enough they could also add her trying to find a way to fix her mistake and once again trap the mimic safely. They could really play it up, too. Have her constantly being hunted by the Mimic, Music men, and all the animatronics that aren’t repaired yet. Perhaps some new returning faces too like the corrupted staff bots or DJMM that are also not fixable. I feel like that could be great if SteelWool keeps this more linear gameplay.
This is probably gonna be an unpopular opinion but i honestly really liked sun in security breach, sure he was kinda annoying and over the top but he was always really kind and warns both Gregory and Cassie about the dangers of moon, it’s so sad just hearing him in his sudden awareness of his situation and I love that eclipse is like the happy in between of sun and moon, he has suns care towards children but also moons discipline plus he seems to have their shared obsession with things being clean and orderly it’s kinda poetic really sun and moon were like two pieces of a puzzle finally able to be whole again.
Moon's greavily voice sounds like Gollum, Sun desperate vulnerable voice sound like Smeargle, I wonder if it was intentional. It had me laughting despite being more gobbling than clown like. I'm so impressed by Kellen's range making Eclipse warm and soft-spoken while nothing like Freddy!
I just watched the LOTR trilogy for the first time recently (I know, I know, I live under a rock) and I am fully convinced Sun/Moon's character was heavily inspired by Gollum's portrayal haha. I kept assuming Jekyll and Hyde, and I completely missed the connection of Gollum and Smeagol until now
Fun fact the line “NO NOT ME THE OTHER ME” is when you try to reboot Sun after getting both generators with the mask on, because when you where the mask you see Sun, but when you have it off you see moon.
i used to be a casual FNAF fan growing up mostly because my friends where into it but i never was obsessed till sun and moon 🥰 ive been in love with them for almost 2 years now! i can't wait to see more of all of them❤
Really interesting how Kellen Goff has voiced both Diavolo and Doppio in the english dub of JJBA and Sun/Moon/Eclipse in Fnaf Sb/Ruin. It's almost like he has a special connection with characters that have multiple personalities.
"New friend? New friend?! I-I'm trapped in a nap!" This line honestly makes me feel so bad for Sun. He knows very well that if his surroundings turn dark, Moon will come and take over. He knows he's safe in the daycare as the lights stay on all the time. However, when the sink hole occurred it had unfortunately caused the entire daycare to go dark. Sun at that moment, was able to do almost nothing and was easily overtaken by Moon. It happened so sudden and was probably in a panic when the daycare turned dark, knowing there was nothing he could do. Months have passed probably, being unable to control his own body and all he could was just watch while his split personality has almost full control. He has probably seen Moon do evil again and again while Sun was just trapped in the mind. Especially with moons lines of. "No more sun! No light! Forever Night!" Its essentially the same as. "No more happiness! No more peace! Only sadness and despair! Sun was very hopeless, there was nothing he could do and would just need to hope that someone will help. Sun soon meets Cassie with a faz wrench. This is when he realized that this is finally a chance to wake up from his eternal nap. He does his best too fight against Moon and Cassie turns on the lights and reboot him. Now that eclipse take over. Sun no longer needs too fight against moon and can just watch Eclipse do all of the good now. You can also here his exhaustion when he says thank you.

We already knew Sun was fearful and in pain when he transformed - I loved that Ruin gave us that same clarity for Moon too. Yeah he's "the evil one" but he's in just as much pain and wants just as badly to NOT be forced into his own mind unable to control his body too... Also the lines specifically of "the light makes *us* hurt" "*we* can't move!" In that moment really solidifies BOTH are in pain at once and that's messed up. Who built this thing and why were they so mean to him while designing him smh
I thought eclipse was going to be evil but no he’s actually nice and calm not vicious like moon or hyper he’s just calm he also doesn’t seem to know about the light or darkness affecting him

Many people are making comments about Sun only being in the ar world, and based on moon trying to take control in the ar world, I think moon didn't have complete control, but wanted complete control.

I won't lie, I'm really disappointed this guy (These guys?) Didn't play a bigger role in the DLC. They barely played a role in the original game, so I was really hoping they'd get some good spotlight here! And while they DO get a spotlight, it's really not as much as I would have hoped for.

Honestly a dlc with Cassie and savings sun would have been far more interesting. If there’s a part 2, Roxy and eclipse getting Cassie to safety would be cool.
That would be awesome, but I don't think Eclipse will unless his program was broken. Sun and Moon seem to have broken from their programming almost completely, but Eclipse still believes that nothing had changed in the pizzaplex and everything is perfect.
@NocturnalLoner I dunno, I feel like the devs going OUT OF THEIR WAY to make sure we heard *Sun* thank Cassie afterwards was letting us as the fanbase know that at least Sun's consciousness wasn't wiped. He remembers what happened enough to thank her, even after Eclipse "took over." Even assuming Eclipse is the "Safe Mode" hard reset form of Sun/Moon, the way Glamrock Freddy and eventually Roxy were... that still doesn't make them devoid of their original personality. At first Roxanne seems to be utterly reset, returning to very stilted robotic speech and wishing Cassie a happy birthday as she's shut down, talking the way a mascot character and not a human being would... but then she comes to Cassie's rescue against the Mimic, yelling for her to run, struggling against it and grunting in exertion. Roxy seemed to retain some of her old persona - so if there were some way for Eclipse to keep Moon docile, then "Sun" could potentially leave the Daycare and help Cassie out. It's not likely, especially since Sun was already kind of a loner before the "earthquake", but it IS possible to make it work
one mistake, "now do it now" and "not me the other me" are different voicelines, the first one plays when you get relatively close, and the second plays when you are in range to reboot
In SB both Sun and Moon were unnerving in their own way. Sun a little too energetic and tempermental, while Moon was downright terrifying. Now in Ruin, they both make my heart break with Sun being so scared of the night and Moon sounding like he was burning alive. My heart can't _TAKE IT_
Fun Freddy Faz-facts! Sun appears to only be able to exist within the AR dimension, this is shown in many many ways. For example, you first meet moon with the mask off, and afterwards sun with the mask on. On top of this, sun can only be heard singing with the mask on, while moon only talks with the mask off. Another super hidden detail is that if you don't turn on one or two generators the idle animation for eclipse is different depending on whether you have the masked equipped. Mask off equals moons struggle to keep control over his body while blocking off the light. Mask on equals sun standing there seeming completely out of it and defeated, not struggling at all. 2:42 It is so cool that when Moon says "us" and is (presumably) talking about how they cannot switch he starts to sound a lot like Sun! Like some parts are switching over but they are still just stuck. So many cool voice acting details with this!
I know I'm late but this makes so much sense! When you turn on the generators Moon is struggling, but when you turn on the last one he says the voice line in your comment and looks like he became paralyzed. So yeah because they are both so broken they can't change themselves, so when the light is on they both just freeze because the animatronic lost the majority the programming to switch automatically so it just shuts down instead of switching. My theory is that Moon was active before they got ruined. After the Pizzaplex collapsed and damaged Moon, the animatronic malfunctioned and merged everything together except their minds (you can tell because of their body having Sun and Moon parts), because of this Moon was left permanently active and Sun trapped inside their mind (or AR world at least because Sun was there but Moon wasn't untill he switched that one time beause he is in control of the body), only thing that still changed between light and dark was Sun's sun rays. Sun knew this so he hoped that someone would go and reboot them which would add a 3rd personality to control the body (Eclipse).
Kellen Goff's voice acting is so good and I love how he can sometimes blur the line between Sun and Moon, so it sounds almost like they are both talking.

Well, one of the Pizzaplex series books did say that Sun and Moon were originally built for the theater, and Moon was the comical villain of Sun’s stories. When they were reprogrammed for the daycare, they couldn’t (or wouldn’t) get rid of Moon. I think this is true, since it does seem to make sense. Though I know those books aren’t always canon 🤷♀️ Add-on: But another thing I’ve seen is that this potential “virus” has amplified already current behaviors and/or made them aggressive. (Example: Chica loves food but suddenly started having more incidents of attacking guests over it)
I've seen theories that Moon is just in pain the whole time, because, with the lights out, he is constantly in control and quiet literally can't catch a break. He also has Sun in the back of his mind who's crying, so they just lost it over time
What has me confused is that Roxy and (it's implied) Vanessa don't have the virus anymore, yet Monty and Chica are still acting weird. So, like, is the virus gone or not? It seems like odds are 50/50 whether Moon is still infected or not. Not to mention Ruin refers to Eclipse as a "safe mode" so does that mean that Moon DOES still have the virus and putting them into Eclipse fixed it, just like with Freddy?
My personal theory was that they were originally Eclipse but then, just like in Dr Jeykll and Mr Hyde, got split apart into two extreme parts. Sun doesn't want to hurt anyone, but is too anxious and eccentric. Moon is violent, but he is also calm. When they merge together, Eclipse ends up as the perfect balance between them. That's why Sun said "we need to be whole".
It hurt so much seeing Sun having to suffer Moon trying to make him nap forever, but I never expected Eclipse to sound how it does. It's like a softer Sun voice.
I actually fell very bad for sun, hearing his scared weak sad voice slowly losing to moons control in the darkness, hearing fear as he tries holding moon back, after having Eclipse take control his voice changed to a more calm tired voice as it thanks cassie for making them whole again
I always thought that Moon was under Glitchtrap control, but the Bobbydots story (or one of the tales from the Pizzaplex stories) told me that he was originally a theater scar after that played as a villain and hero. Fazbear Ent. couldn’t remove Moon from the daycare attendant, because he’s part of Sun, so they keep the lights on the daycare. Im glad the Tales from the Pizzaplex books help players understand plenty of Security Breaches lore.
@@goldiebotics Yeah, Scott said that the books should only be used for lore IF it doesn't contradict anything in game. And in Ruin there is a Moondrop collectable with a note written by Cassy saying "I never slept better than in the daycare." So obviously Bobbiedots isn't canon. A) Scott has said two time the books (except Fazbear Frights) shouldn't be used for lore clues, and that they are based on a separate canon. B) Bobbiedots clearly contradicts in game material, so isn't canon. C) The book is literally about murderous robotic slave women? Pretty sure that book is more of a 'in universe canon', it's clearly not actually canon in the main games. For example, the books say there are VR booths, a yellow Chica with a cupcake, and thousand dollar animatronic dolls they sell (as well as numerous attractions non existent in Security Breach,) so it should be taken with a grain of salt. The Mimic and GGY is implied to be game canon - as Scott said they shouldn't be used primarily for lore, but if it fits? Then sure. And those books clearly were canon as they didn't contradict the games. (GGY is a real high score in game for example.) The Fazbear Frights are the only books written explicitly for canon, plus the books do say there are multiple Pizzaplex's, so maybe somewhere in the universe there's a Mega Pizzaplex with Bobbiedots lore Moondrop, but not in our one.
@aceblack-qq1nu If you read the books, you'd know that the Mega Pizzaplex goes through seasonal changes. According to your "nonexistent attractions" logic, GGY is not canon either. It mentions Fast Freddy/Freddy's Fortress. The Bobbiedots never specifies whether the kids sleep well or have nightmares in the Daycare. In fact, Security Breach itself contradicts with RUIN. The Fazwatch messages say that children came out of the Daycare traumatized. Are Security Breach or RUIN not canon now? The Bobbiedots actually goes out of its way to prove that it is canon. In an earlier copy of the book, the way the lobby is described had some differences with the in-game one. However, in the final release, they had changed the description to a more accurate depiction of the in-game lobby. Even DJ Music Man's attack patterns are the same ones.

The game doesn't contradict itself. Obviously the games are all a part of one big storyline, and it's our job to piece together the puzzle to solve it (even if it is a scrambled mess of red herrings.) SB has a message saying kids are traumatised? That's not a contradiction to Ruin. If Ruin implies that Sun and Moon were BOTH good DCAs, and LATER ON ended up traumatising kids, then doesn't that literally just provide evidence for them getting the virus? The game shows a HEAP of Moon toys and posters, and seeing as the Sun plush in Ruin is accurate to Sun's appearance and behaviour, we can imply that Moon WAS good too. And yes there are attractions in GGY that aren't in game, my point is that GGY itself (Gregory and the high scores) DON'T contradict game, and actually match up with what we know. And as I said, if Bobbiedots IS canon, that would mean that sexy maid robots that kill people are also canon, right? Either the book is referencing another Pizzaplex (unlikely), in which the animatronics would be programmed the same so the DJMM would also have the same sort of attack - or more likely this is just another story that isn't explicitly canon, but Scott makes an attempt to at least tie it more to game by matching some descriptions. In the books a kid literally uses VR to go into the future and meets Freddy who's speaking pattern is described as the exact same as in game, yet there's clearly no futuristic VR booths in game. It's a spin off, a spin off with details from the main series, without everything being canon.
Now in security breach I thought sun was upset with moon but now he’s like genuinely terrified in a terrible way and I used to think moon was kinda chill but in ruin he genuinely made me MAD and idk why I was feeling so bad for sun listening to him feel so distraught about moon I genuinely wanted to throw a chair at Moon in ruin (He’s still one of my fav characters tho) Eclipse is such a great a balance between Moon and Sun and I rly loved it it felt good to see such a heart warming character
Sun/Moon/Eclipse are my favorite animatronics by FAR. I’m hoping that if there’s another part of DLC that we’ll see them again. I’m hoping we’ll get to see Moon as himself, and not his crazed and glitched version. I also wanna see more Dun and Eclipse! ❤
My most favorite part in the DLC. And wholesome! Poor Sun was filled with so much melancholy. That you notice that he was able to hold Moon back to protect Cassie. I cannot fathom the thought that some people think Sun is bad! If Sun is bad, then why does he miss playing with children? If Sun is bad, then why did he thank Cassie for rebooting him, when he needed that treatment? He appreciated it! If Sun is bad, then why didn't he kill Gregory when he broke the rule? Yes, the animatronic was dysfunctional in higher levels. But he was still kind! And as Eclipse, he is now calm, gentle, and so sweet! I'd like to see this character build up more! (I wish to see them more.) Mentioning about Moon. His personality is still the same, but he was functioning differently now. Since he was in pain, and really frustrated. And very sensitive to light. But after rebooting him, he seems to shut down for a few seconds, then start up becoming the new Moon that now stabilized, and relaxed! So, it seems like Moon is feeling better. Hopefully in future. Moon should be able to communicate to Cassie softy. That would be nice to see!
I like how moon is being his typical creepy self, Eclipse is a calm naive attendant, and sun is just like, "DON'T DESTROY ME DESTROY THE OTHER ONE LISTEN!!!!!!! IS NONE OF THIS OBVIOUS!?!?!?!? SHOULD I SPELL IT OUT!?!?!?!?"
The voice of the 3 phases is really weird Sun has a really squeaky voice Moon has a more crumbled and sinister voice While eclipse is like he is narrating a super soaker advert
This voice lines are actually sad, cause Eclipse sounds like a social animatronic, and he still thinks people would come to the daycare, he even cleans up everything, he probably is lonely, i just want to give him a hug😭
ALL three of them I just want to hug and take home and fix up! Seeing how sun was suffering from the darkness and terrified of it made me really sad he's my favourite in the entire franchise. Eclipse was the real Daycare Attendent there while sun was a amazing playmate and Moon is a bedtime helper Eclipse really helped the kids I feel SOOO bad for him I wish all the animatronics in the Mega Pizzaplex can atleast find new homes! And Moon I feel bad for him too he got hacked in SB causing him to be a nightmare and in Ruin we see moon Saying 'Grind! Grind! Grinding gears in my head!' Suggesting that when they changed to eat of them there cogs and grinders in there turning them into the form which is very very sad :( I hope we get to see the daycare attendant return in future fnaf games!
Honestly, I really hope that in possible future fnaf games we get more friendly companions who help us, like Freddy did. Imagine playing a whole game with Eclipse at your side helping you out. If he was in an area where his cable could move freely he could just pick you up out of harm's way or something. And the others would be interesting, as well, like Roxy.
Same here. I don't want to think of Eclipse as a fusion. I want to think of him as a third one with Sun and Moon. I believe there are three of them now. I think they're still in there since I heard Sun's voice.
