These videos are always so interesting to watch. I may not exactly agree with a few of the details, but i believe a lot of this is canon. The whole timeline is all messed up, and this does a good job and using what we know to make a timeline. It's always just entertaining to see other theories and this has changed my perspective. Keep up the good work!
I am a big fan of this theory series, I would call the videos from this channel some of my favorite FNAF theory videos to binge watch. I may not agree with everything in this timeline but it's still a timeline that works and has a very great narrative. This channel has made me see FNAF can be interpreted in a million different ways and all could be correct, I am always gonna be grateful for that, and I even believe some unpopular theories from this timeline like Mangle being connected to William. I am very happy to see this channel continue to upload and this timeline speedrun makes me look forward to future videos even more!

@@BlackfootFerret Since Fruity Maze took place during the "Save Him" night, Susie had to be brought over from Britain to America. Possibly as William's bastard daughter or adopted daughter. In fact, the girls room in fnaf4 features Susie's revived dog, the mangle. All of the merged shattered souls in Molten Freddy (Cassidy, Susie, Jeremy, Fritz, and Gaberial) love and see William Afton as their father. Just like Baby does. The Candy Cadet stories are about the true story of William Afton the MCI children. Old Man Consequences is most likely the soul of William Afton in Fnaf world and UCN. That's why we heard William's spirit scream and yearn for Michael. It's coming from him. You see, the short story "Get Closer" features the main character's father, Bill (a stand-in for William), being featured in his son's happy memories of fishing together. Cassidy is likely the main character we play as in fnaf world and UCN when we play as the bear sprite. In fnaf world, she either stays by William's side in purgatory or takes him into the afterlife (Hence the two endings and this game being the original end of fnaf's story). In UCN World, William is unable to rest his soul (He can't move on without Michael) and tries to convince Cassidy to rest her own soul for her own sake. UCN and fnaf VR are rooms inside of the "one you shouldn't have killed", Sammy Emily. This is why we see all of these rooms and the trapped souls of Sammy's victims in Princess Quest 3. Princess Quest reveals that Cassidy (Golden Freddy) and Charlie (Shadow Freddy) are still completely different souls that just happen to share the same vessel.
@@BlackfootFerret Midnight Motorist takes place in the same night as "Save Him" and "Fruity Maze". You know how Springlock suits can't get wet? You see, William Afton broke Sammy out of the house and had to bury himself in Henry's backyard due to the severe rainstorm. Because Henry knew where Sammy usually went, he drove to Freddys and expected to see his blue-shirted son inside of the building. But because Sammy was locked out of the place, he decided to murder the boy then and there. William would've been the one arrested for being suspected of the crime. Hence, the puppet's anger. Her brother died there. Fruity Maze is the aftermath minigame for "Save him" and Midnight Motorist. The rainstorm finally stopped, and William dug himself out of the hole we found in Henry's backyard. This means... William Afton 1000% cannot be the magenta guy. Then Henry, the magenta guy, runs over Susie's dog with his usual rage driving. This dog will be recovered as the mangle because of WIlliam's efforts. "He's not dead... Follow me..."

The funny thing about this theory is that it literally can not be debunked. This is something scott should see because if this is wrong (personally I believe it is) then he messed up on so so many details. This takes all the facts and puts them together without any flaws. It's so interesting because I don't think this is the intended story but this is literally what we get from putting everything together to the tea. Either this is 100 percent correct and scott has a lot of explaining to do, or this is wrong and scott has a lot of explaining to do. Great video.
Thank you. I put this video together from the various weird pieces of FNAF lore floating out there, so I’m inclined to think Scott has simply been misunderstood. He said FNAF’s lore was solvable in a satisfying way, and I’ve been trying to prove that statement was correct for many years now.
There are still a few missing pieces. I don’t know exactly where El Chip’s is on the timeline. Is it a predecessor to FNAF 1-4, like in the real world? Was it created after FNAF World, which clocks in after FNAF 1 and 4 on my timeline? Is it a second translational opening between FNAF 1 & 3, since this would neatly have Fredbear’s reopen once every ten years? I see several possibilities, and cannot collapse them to a singularity despite years of trying. So… it’s possible I missed a major plot twist. And there’s no way to know *how* major until I actually find El Chip’s. I think I’ve succeeded in showing people how FNAF works, though.
There’s also the Case of the Mysterious Disappearing Cassette Man. Phone Guy says he vanished shortly after Fredbear’s closed. Then, suddenly, he’s back 50 years later in FNAF 6? (And sounds like an adult instead of a senior citizen?) What’s he been doing all this time, sleeping? It sounds goofy, but that’s currently my best model for what happened to Adult Henry. He mentioned he could make himself “sleep”, which people interpreted as suicide, but could also mean shutting himself off for a while. His avatar is Fredbear-a bear-so having the android power to Hibernate would be thematically consistent for him. Did Shadow Freddy play a role in his disappearance? She devoured Phone Guy/Third Closet Henry. But if so… how did Fourth Closet Henry return from captivity? Did he also find the clocks and escape from FNAF World, like Michael did? Lots of questions, few answers.
That’s why I came back to the Game Theorist Discord. There are aspects of the lore I can’t solve on my own. It would great if others could help me build on these leads. However, almost all my time is spent trying to convince others that these leads actually *exist*, when most are inclined to simply throw FNAF 1-4 away, figuring it isn’t needed to understand the new games. It is. That’s why I made this video. To show people the patterns I see in FNAF, hoping it will make a difference.
@@BlackfootFerret There was unused feature called "Faz-Facts" which would appear on loading screens. One of these says this: "In 1993, the most dangerous profession in the United States was actually night security guard." Another one says this: "Fazbear's "Twisted" Pizza Recipe was voted "Most Yummy!" by 6 out of 10 children in every survey from 1988-1993!" I don't think this necessarily confirms that FNaF1 itself takes place in 1993, it just means the restaurant was still open in 1993.
@@thechimpmaster FNAF 1 didn’t close after Mike Schmidt got fired. Those quotes do make a nice time span for when FNAF 1 was open. But doesn’t say exactly where in that time span we are.
@@BlackfootFerret One of the other quotes says "The first location in the Freddy's franchise was actually Fredbear's Family Diner". Some people think this means Fredbear's is the first location ever, but I don't think that's necessarily the case. It says it's the first in the franchise. A small family owned business like Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place wouldn't count as part of a franchise. So it just means Fredbear's is the first location opened once Freddy's is bought out, which lines up with your theory that it is opened in 1982.
While my theories are complex, each new bit of FNAF media does seem to support them rather than debunk them. Scott told us FNAF was logically solvable, and everything I've seen says he's right.
Great timeline. I have one little question, though. What do you think the murder seen in FNaF HW Pizza Party is about? It shows somebody wearing a SpringBonnie suit stuffing someone in either Freddy or Fredbear but we see the classic characters (the ones from FNaF 1), not the withereds. It doesn't fit the MCI or the SaveThem massacre as you describe it. Is it a third murder event?
Thanks for giving it a look. I'm a little fuzzy on the ending of Help Wanted: It's a single child event in a party that's definitely thrown for us (we choose the ice cream and cake flavors by which doors we take.) and we end up as Freddy according to Dread Unit. Perhaps William made sure that his son Michael would live forever, the same way Henry made sure his daughter would live forever?

Edit: I really enjoy your 'no stone left unturned' and 'trust in the lore's consistency' approach. It's very refreshing and a nice break from significantly more jaded feelings I find myself having about the lore. It's also nice to have a solid shakedown of your thorough theorycanon through this timeline speedrun. Especially getting some insights into your theories and thoughts on the more modern entries into the lore
I really wanted to post a finished video this time, instead of leaving folks waiting for the next stage yet again. Glad I can make things people like and add something to the conversation ^_^.
This was a great watch! I really like how despite the story being quite complicated, the same locations are reused under different identities. The theme of twins, as well as light/dark, was intriguing, and I like how each character William created has significance in multiple ways, such as Foxy being important to both William and Henry despite their rivalry. I have a few issues/questions, though: 1. If Michael, Lamar, and Sammy were the "Mangle Marauders", then that would have to mean that Mangle had to exist in 1983, before the MCI, which the three were victims of. However, William wore the Foxy suit during the MCI, and you state that the Foxy suit became Mangle (which is why William and Mangle are friendly towards each other). How could Mangle exist while the three children were alive? 2. If Sammy fully controls Springtrap after FNAF 3 ends, why do the credits list him as William Afton? How is William released from Springtrap to meet Michael if his body remains inside the suit? Is the different appearance of his body in FNAF 6 related to this? 3. How can Anti-Charlie's matrix include a representation of the Bite of 83 and 87 simultaneously if the Bite of 87 victim survived the bite? It wouldn't make sense for Anti-Charlie to torment Michael with an event that happened to an older version of himself who was still alive in the real world. Or did Freddy bite adult Michael, draining the rest of his soul and combining it with Freddy-Michael? 4. Why do the SL animatronics mistake Michael for William if he had to get new skin after escaping the matrix as Freddy-Endo? Did he grow the skin himself? Despite these few issues, the story here is very good, and I'm exited for AFH Chapter 4.
These are great questions! 2. Sammy and William have a great deal on common.. it’s almost like Sammy is an echo of Kid William himself, and the older William is having to wrestle with who he used to be. I heavily suspect William’s “sons” might actually be versions of him. Michael looks and acts eerily like a clone of William, while Henry seems to be an inversion of William… quite literally in the case of their sprites. Do Michael and Henry still count as aspects of William, or are they their own people now? This is the sort of philosophy question Star Trek and SF loves to wrestle with. Calling Henry “Purple Guy” isn’t technically wrong if Henry used to be a part of William. It’s just correct in a manner that very few people would even think to look for.
I actually do think Jeremy/Michael can grow flesh. He didn’t seem worried at all about cutting off his own face, almost like he was preparing to grow a new one (Gregory’s?). Molten Freddy must have created their own mask. It was an esoteric fusion of who remained after Scrap Baby left the fusion. No company wound have made that (which is why Molten Freddy’s sheet is a facial scan instead of a blueprint, and has no company signature.) When Jeremy/Michael cut off his face, Tape Girl said it looked like a mask covered in ink. I think the androids and the Animatronics have similar abilities.
1. Keep in mind that the apparent ages of Afton Kids might not reflect their actual age, since the androids are immortal. That’s why they needed the Four Closet Versions to begin with. Ironically, the youngest-looking forms are technically the oldest, since they’ve been operating for much longer. Phone Guy said toddlers were taking apart Mangle in the 2nd FNAF 2 call. That must be set in November 1987. I call ‘The Mangle Marauders’ Micheal, Sammy, and Lamar since I prefer using their Prime Form names to try and keep everything organized and simple. But the little kids we see in the child picture-still 2nd Closet size in 1987-are likely younger versions of these characters with different names. The Fourth Closet graphic novel calls a young version of Lamar “Gabriel”, for instance. A name that does appear on the Six Lorekeeper tombstones. So, we’re probably seeing “Gabriel” in the MM picture, who is a younger version of Lamar.
3. Michael seems to be caught somewhere between life and death after the bite, a ‘limbo’ of sorts. He’s definitely not conscious in the real world, so I think Shadow Freddy pulled his consciousness into FNAF 4 until she could kill him for real, and fully absorb his soul into FNAF World. Perhaps she wanted Michael to experience his soul being torn in half… since his earlier actions at Pizza Place in 1972 consigned her to that fate?
@@BlackfootFerret i guess 58:47 would be more accurate. You said that withered animatronics are being possessed by Afton kids. If that is the case then why did we get different names on those tombstones?
@@Kubina. This is the 5-kid MCI. The Six Lorekeeper tombstones refer to the 6 Save Them victims. Also, the MCI and Save Them victims are younger versions of the Prime Afton Kids, with their own distinct names. “Susie”, Toy Chica’s kid, is a younger version of Charlie. While “Gabriel” is pictured as a younger version of Lamar in the Fourth Closet graphic novel, for example. It m still in the process of discovering all the younger names, and whose versions they are, as well as which robots they went into. I’m very curious about that Save Them bloodstain under the Puppet’s Box. I suspect FNAF 2’s rarely appearing bare endo might actual belong to Shadow Freddy’s Fredbear. But this theory is still in the prototype stage.
I really wanted to make one that actually worked. All these years, and people are still carelessly tossing away pieces, sections, and even the relevancy of entire games now. Nobody ever solved FNAF 1, and we can’t say we’ve solved FNAF until we do.
@@reorseX Scott is on the record saying the lore has a satisfying solution. And the more pieces I see fit together, the more I’m inclined to believe him. Many big Steven Universe theories got discouraged trying to solve it, questions if a solution existed. But one did. The harder a mystery is to crack, the more frustrated the fandom gets. Yet these are ultimately the most rewarding mysteries we can learn the most from.
In my notes, the FNAF lore has been consistent from game 1 onward. Scott added things, sure, but also provided clarifications about earlier mysteries each new iteration of FNAF.
I don't understand one detail. You're using evidence from books, but those same books say that Henry was William's friend and business partner, not his son. By the way, if Cassette Man is Henry, then why does he call William an "old friend" and not a father?
The books are a mirror universe to the games in most respects. In the games, William is the genius inventor and Henry is the business guy. Most of Charlie’s novel friends are actually members of her family. The “old friend” comment does point to a greater mystery. Why does Michael act like a clone of William, while Henry acts like an inversion? I suspect they’re both actually versions of William himself. The Puppet Carved shows the purple-faced owner of a small pizza place get cut into two opposite entities, one of which becomes a dark-eyed pink humanoid made of FazGoo. I think “Henry” is actually some of William’s dark remnant that split off into its own entity. His “Hyde” if you will, but with his own body. You can call Henry a son, and it’s correct. You can call Henry “Purple Guy” and it’s technically correct since he’s a part of William. I don’t think English has a word for exactly what Henry is. So… “old friend” works too.
@@BlackfootFerret I'm interested in your point of view, but I don't think it can work... The fact is that when someone asked what the Trilogy is, Scott Cawthon replied that due to the large amount of knowledge, there was extremely little time for history. Therefore, the only way to properly tell the story from the games is to transfer it to an alternative universe. As you said, the Trilogy is an AU of game universe, so the fates and characters may be different. Only Scott also in one of his posts revealed the meaning of the Trilogy is to reveal the characters' characters or, as he put it, the human element. That is, the characters and even in some places the fate of the characters must coincide. If Henry is in fact the son of William, then this is tritely contrary to the Trilogy, because then the relationship between William and Henry becomes more business than family. And as the Trilogy shows, their relationship was still businesslike, although they were very close friends. In general, if Henry is the son of William, then this will immediately contradict his relationship with William, which will also contradict Scott's words about the complete canonicity of the characters and motivations of the characters.
@@knyazevagalya So if Henry and William only had a business relationship in the novels… why did Henry allow William to make a Restaurant of Doom underneath his own house? Why did Henry seal the Twisted Animatronics away, instead of destroying them mine every other failed/recycled project? Charlie herself asked this question, because it’s so unlike him. Why did Henry knowingly rehire William to work at Freddy’s, after William killed his daughter? Why did Henry not turn William in when kids started missing *again*? Henry trust in William outstrips not only business sense, but rationality as we know it. Henry must have some incredibly powerful bond with William to keep working with him. Family is the only bond I see that could be powerful enough.
@@knyazevagalya Could you also provide me links to these statements of Scott’s? I’m not familiar with them. And I’ve frequently found the precise wording of Scott’s comments means something different than how the quoter interprets them.
This is also why I prioritize in-game lore over external artist statements or popular beliefs about the story. Misinformation and multiple interpretations abound. It’s best to build on the known canon details as much as possible.
You know it's bizarre despite the fact that i genuinely dislike the robot child idea that people recently propose e.g. matpat the idea that the majority of the "human" characters are actually androids somehow makes it better?
If you could make your kids super-powered and immortal-without sacrificing any human functionality-would you do it? It’s the Alchemist’s dream, just like the Fruity Maze theme. You could be a hero and bring Susie’s dog back to life. To a mad scientist father who can do these things, why wouldn’t you do this to your own kids?

I actually had a theory a month or so ago about the cosmology of fnaf. I basically think fnaf 1-UCN and fnaf VR-Tales from the Pizzaplex are two different stories. The latter of which also including Fazbear Frights, and I’d like to hear your thoughts on it. So here the basic syllogism 1. The new games connect to WWF 2. WWF is a different timeline from fnaf 3 3. The new games are a different timeline from the old games And to elaborate on how Pressure connects to WWF but not fnaf 3: Pressure references both the crumbling archway and the dozens of animatronic limbs in the walls. I Can get quotes if you’d like And yes, we know Tales from the Pizzaplex is in the same timeline as the new games, that much has been proven. I don’t know if you already believe that but I can prove it to you if you do not
I’m still figuring out exactly how the new books connect to the games, it’s still a lot of probabilities in my head that I’m trying to narrow down into singularities. These are certainly interesting ideas though.

I do get that the Pizzaplex stories are set in the Security Breach continuity. I’m just not sure about all the stories where magic seems involved. I’m sure there’s a lot of good lore in What We Found. It’s just hard to parse it all.
