Hi everyone! I hope you enjoy the video :) I've been informed that the meaning of the code for episode 2 (which I asked for help on...) actually spoils something later in the season. With that being said, please don't tell me what it means if it spoils it!! I would prefer to have it unsolved until I find out the true meaning later on! Thanks for understanding and watching, and good luck solving the two codes that I hid in the video!! :D
Since you said we can tell you this one: Dipper: This is incredible! It's like he was preparing for a disaster. But what kind of disaster would need supplies for over sixty years? Episode 2 Cipher: What kind of disaster indeed?
@@OzoneYT Correct, commenter was trying to throw you off the trail of the fact that the author is Gaye Vigenere, real inventor of the Vigenere cipher and Homosexuality. Alex Hirsch hid this info in the backwards message so Disney could not censor him
1:19:43 This is another (GAY) Vigenere Cipher, the key is in the chair on minute 59:21 ("Ozone"), there's a Caesar Cipher too that says "AS ABOVE, SO BELOW". Now that we have the key "Ozone" let's decode the credits message, the message says: "NEXT TIME: MORE SHORTS!", YAAAAY
Btw, the one credits code you don't understand, It's meant to get you to think about what sort of disaster the bunker is meant for. It *WOULD BE HEAVY* spoilers to give away exactly what it means by that, so be careful.
@@OzoneYTstandard edition is about $10 or so, you could get the standard edition for yourself and then get pictures of the blacklight text and what's under the photos from this user.
Welcome to the dark season of Gravity Falls, where things get more lore-heavy. And knowing you, you're gonna LOVE it! 4:47: Ozone moment. 37:58: Oh you have no idea.
I have the blacklight journal, and i definitely consider it my most precious posession ever, lol. Not that i bought it for thousands of dollars - i got it when it came out, for like $150~ ish. But i was a teenager back then, and at the time, it was probably the most money i had ever spent on anything at once, and now it has a ton of emotional value too. And it's just a super cool piece of merch!
here's what I got: the code at the break "DV DERYH, VR EHORZ" translates to "AS ABOVE, SO BELOW" with the usual -3 ceasar cypher, the code at the end "BDLG XWLS: ZSFD GUSFSG" can't be translated through ceasar cipher, atbash, nor a combination of the two, but "as above, so below" doesn't seem to work as a key for the vigenere cypher either. However, I read in another comment that OZONE seems to work as a key, so the end result is "NEXT TIME: MORE SHORTS"
we got Mark Hamill here, famous for playing Luke Skywalker, and voicing The Joker, Firelord Ozai, the scientist from the dark crystal: age of resistance, and many more, voicing the shapeshifter
Just a heads up (not a spoiler) you’re mistaken about the journals being 6 years old, it’s just that the first entry in Journal 3 was written 6 years after the author started studying Gravity Falls
It's great to see you so invested, I'm definitely loving the content :D A tiny detail about the shirt joke at 7:32 if you're interested (it's not lore relevant, just amusing): It's not merely a leopard shirt, if you look closely, he actually has a puma and a panther shirt *sewn together*. Which means he couldn't decide in the end and bought both, haha.
I can't believe Ozone hasn't realized yet that Blendin Blandin is actually the true author of the journals. The time traveler bit is just a cover-up to hide his centuries-long involvement in the town's history. Every time he 'fixes' a timeline, he's rewriting his own story. Also wait till Ozone finds out that Bill Cipher is actually Grunkle Stan from an alternate timeline who couldn't stop [DATA EXPUNGED]. He sacrificed his humanity to gain the power to fix the timeline, but instead, he lost himself in the process. You can totally tell by their voices if you listen closely. Waddles the pig is actually the real key to unlocking the ultimate secret of Gravity Falls. In the future episodes, it's revealed he’s from a dimension where pigs are the dominant species and he’s on a mission to stop Bill Cipher (AT Stan) from turning the entire town into his personal petting zoo.
Chat went crazy with dipcifica 💀 Also the big henry scene is a reference to american history! The seen was written by mat braly, the creator of amphibia, a show id say is the closest spiritual successor to gravity falls.
as someone who hand-decoded all the codes in the show, i can confirm it took forever, but at some point i memorized the ciphers so it went a lot quicker lol
I'm pleasantly surprised that you haven't been spoiled yet, especially since I see gravity falls as an "you just had to be there to fully experience it" kind of thing (because of community theories, etc); Either way, I wish you a pleasant season 2, this series is peak :)
You casually revealing to me that Remy from Ratatouille and Jesse from minecraft story mode are voiced by the same person gave me emotional whiplash. That is such cursed knowledge. I can't unhear it now.
I'm loving this series so far. I got into Gravity Falls after it ended. Long after all the codes had already been deciphered. So I missed out on that experience. So it's great to see someone genuinely sit down and work it out :) Good luck with the codes! I know there at least one incredibly difficult one so I do not envy you. As for the "What kind of disaster indeed" comment. I don't want to spoil, so I'll be as vague as possible but this isn't entirely irrelevant. The show is asking if mabye there might be a reason this bunker is here? Anyways, Love this series, I can't wait to see your reaction to Season 2, the codes get harder but the mystery gets more rewarding. Happy Hunting ! wkh exqnhu zdv fohduob pdgh wr nhhs vrrv' hylo forqh iurp hvfdshlqj dqg ghvwurblqj dphulfd lwvhoi.
There is two Mabels, the second is the third evil twin, Lebam. And the first show of her was in the pool episode, one of the letters are to "Lebam". She is the one in the llama clothes for the zodiac
Lmao i'm actually trying to solve your riddles! I think i know how to now! Gay vigenére is my favourite cipher now As above, so below. NEXT TIME: MORE SHORTS! Hooray! I actually wanted to see ur reaction to the rest of the shorts :з
Fun fact! If the key is shorter than the encrypted text, then you have to repeat the key however many times it takes! Edit: Which you, in fact, reasoned out.
Hey, Ozone! I don't know if you know this, but I think you should do a big theory video after episode 10 of this season as episode 11 is the one that reveals one of the main "mysteries" that we're trying to find out throughout the show, so there's no point really doing it after it.
"Scary-Oke" my beloved, what a way to start your season, just really kicks it up a notch, its magical (i am definitely not biased because this episode has some of the hottest stan scenes and stylish as hell shot composition, no sir) and i like how "Into the Bunker" recenters the focus on the mystery, since that kind of got lost in the shuffle of the monster of the week format AND resolves the "romantic subplot" in a nice way (meaning, finally killing it) is that Vigenere..? you know? 💁? the rest is the information we know up to this point, no spoilers: i will point out, because you did notice it in the episode but it was a while ago, we know McGucket's name! in the ep 11 "little dipper" his name is stated to be Fiddleford H. McGucket (which is such a blink and you miss it moment, i genuinely think that is the only mention of it so far) going through the named characters list, there are actually very few with fs Anywhere in them, we have: Fertilia (the pioneer woman credited with the invention of High Five) the Gleeful family (gideon and his parents) and Stanford Pines (stan's stated full name)
oh boy there's an episode some time later in the season that's gonna hit your arachnophobia HARD. look out for a character who might be wearing spiderweb motifs early in an episode so you're prepared for the transformation because it _is_ horrifying
30 years... quite the important timeframe, huh? According to Dipper, it's been 30 years since the Author "disappeared" and left his last entry in the journal before hiding it. According to the Shapeshifter, it's been 30 years since the Author (who is NOT the guy on the bean can) was last "himself". It's been 30 years since the government saw the type of readings that led them to Gravity Falls. It took 30 years for Stan to turn the portal on. 30 years since McGucket made a partnership with Bud Gleeful. 30 years since the gnomes started worshipping Bill Cipher by wearing triangular hats. 30 years since last she's seen her son lost to this monster, to the Stan behind the slaughter. A lot of things happened in 1982, and it was all Blendin's fault. Who else could've caused so much to happen through pure time-hopping incompetency. Makes you wonder why STAN IS NOT WHAT HE SEEMS.
From the very first seconds of the first episode with the portal you can already tell that this season is going to be much bigger then everything else in season one
Personally I don't see why you shouldn't read the episode titles before watching them. They aren't very spoiler-y. Just don't read future episode titles before you get to them.
episode eleven’s title technically reveals something in the episode so it’s a spoiler, I won’t say what because y’know but you can probably tell what I mean
@@weirdcakes304 that's the great part though, he'd recognize the episode title, know what it references, and be extra hyped about it. (plus the episode makes it pretty clear right at the beginning what it's about)
@@cherie2861 Personally in my opinion as a Gravity Falls reaction aficionado(a?), I have come to believe that reading the episode titles prior to watching the episodes provides a better experience to the person reacting.
