The 5 Brazilian fans who stood up and clapped after Fanatic won have class. Everyone else in the arena who immediately vacated should be ashamed of themselves
@xodyssy

The entire tournament made me dislike Brazil as a region based entirely on how the crowd behaved. In the semifinal between Loud and DRX at one point, it showed the Korean fans cheering for DRX after they won a round, and the entire stadium started booing. Its nothing personal to the players from Brazil, but the fan mentality is worse than any other region by far
@vital1617
@vital1617 Год назад
@@xodyssy Yeah. Despite me having similar feelings, there are really great Brazilian audience members who do genuinely care about other teams than based on their homeland. I just think we unfortunately got a rotten scoopful of them this tournament. Al be it, this would most likely make Riot not want to host in Brazil due to the mostly poor crowd, so they undoubtedly shot themselves in the foot there and it may take a long time to host somewhere else like Rio for example.

I was there... You have no idea how hot that place was, and it was very difficult to get free water, and very expensive to buy one. If you pay attention, between one match and another everyone leaves the stadium to breathe a little, 32C outside felt like 18C in the air conditioning. During the match, emotions rose a lot, from being sad at the beginning, to being very happy and at the end ending up extremely disappointed. At that moment, all we could feel was the bad stuff, disappointment, heat, it was really hard to keep up the sports spirit and stay there for a minute longer. I participated in the event since the beginning of the omega phase, and I stayed there until the end of most games, we cheered a lot for fnatic in the game versus navi (we liked them), I stayed more than 1h to meet the fnatic team both in the game AGAINST Furia as in the game against NAVI, but in the last game, there were so many variables, I hope you understand :(

I remember when FNC took that timeout at 3-11, the whole arena was booing as though to imply that they had no chance and were simply delaying Brazils celebration and the victory. Was watching a couple of streams, and all the streamers were talking about was either the boos or Boaster's dejected look.Well I don't know what was said in that timeout....but I guess looks can be deceiving cuz whatever happened after was simply brilliant From almost clean sweeping the whole tourney going 11-0 on maps to almost getting reverse swept while getting stomped on the final map... but I guess 'ALMOST' is never enough.We all know how great of a valorant player they are, in fact everyone that participated is, that's a given, but the mental resilience displayed was truly what champions are made of. So happy for the big trio of minijake, boaster and derke from the early days on SUMN FC...... Alfajaer the wonderkid........Leo the MVP of the whole tourney.....and Chronicle the ONE AND ONLY champ champ

What a game. Since I came to Valorant and got into it as an esport, I became a fan of Fnatic because at the time they had the most British players of any of the major teams and when I looked into the team I just absolutely loved Boaster. It's probably the most I've supported a team in any esport before. Once the Lotus map went Loud's way, at 2-2, I thought Loud were certainly going to close out map 5. Fnatic undoubtedly were the better team over the tournament, however there's more to huge games like this than who is better in general, it's just as much about mentality. Given Fnatic had not lost a map the whole event before this, then lost 2 in a row in the grand final against the home team with the whole crowd against them and the history of Fnatic falling at the final hurdle, I feared the worst. Then Icebox started and it was all Loud, my fears were playing out before my eyes. And to lose pistol and your force buy to go down 11-3, I don't think anyone thought it was actually possible for them to come back from there. Those pictures of Boaster, that you showed at the start, broke my heart. I said to a friend, who was unable to watch and who I was updating over text, that I could see in Boaster's eyes they didn't have anything in the tank to deal with what was happening. It had crumbled before their eyes. I was wrong. What a comeback, what an astonishing thing to accomplish. What better way to put the Thrownatic joke to bed, than to show that even under the most trying circumstances, when it looks as though the throw has already happened, that this squad can compose themselves, rise to the occasion and flip the script entirely. What an event. What a final. What a game. Can't wait for the season to kick off, this event has shown that Valorant as an esport has a lot to offer going forward and things can only get better.

I believe Boaster followed Sun Tzu here “Thus we may know that there are five essentials for victory: 1 He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight. 2 He will win who knows how to handle both superior and inferior forces. 3 He will win whose army is animated by the same spirit throughout all its ranks. 4 He will win who, prepared himself, waits to take the enemy unprepared. 5 He will win who has military capacity and is not interfered with by the sovereign.” “1” is followed when they just don’t go to the sites where aspas is present. “2” is followed when Boaster comes up with strats for his team and anti-strats for LOUD. “3” is followed always as Boaster always keeps his team’s mental at it’s peak. “4” is followed when Boaster comes up with strats to take LOUD by surprise. “5” is followed when… well idk but i’m pretty sure it gets followed somewhere.

As a brazillian I was so hyped about loud being in the grand finals, even tho fnatic won, it was a great game, GG WP

Nah fr, this game seemed IMPOSSIBLE. Boaster really looked like he was ready to give up. I have no idea where they pulled the strength from but HOLY SHIT what a tourney. They should hold more single elimination tournaments. They shouldn’t be compared to majors but they provide great content.

One of Fnatic's greatest weakness as a team was if things got scrappy, they didn't know what to do. Any aggressive team could just outfrag them. This squad however has enough firepower to scrap with the best of them.

ggs to both team, it was a fantastic grand final!
@wasthataspongebobreference533
A fantastic way to kick off franchising, great games all around, and an amazing finish. Sucks that one of the bigger stories was the less-than-favorable actions of the crowd - ESPECIALLY for the grand final - but at least the tournament overall was a good one.

I enjoyed the devastated faces of the loud croud when they lost. I hurt my hand when I think chronicle almost defused because I got super mad. Kept watching tho... L crowd - so happy to see the faces because of my hand and their behavior. I felt sad / sorry for the loud fans that decided to clap for fnatic though

Not to completely repeat what Tarik said, but I was thinking it the whole event. I'm all for the booing but when you don't show respect for the other teams, thats just an L move. I knew what they were going to be like once the crowd was empty for PRX v C9. Brazilians didn't deserve to get this win and I'm so glad it happened the way it did.

I watched this Live and I cursed Loud. I already gave them the victory, and as soon as I said it, Fnatic started to win. I stayed silent as a graveyard to not un-jinx Loud by saying anything else. It was such a wonderful game. My heart could barely take it. I reflexively yelled more than thrice, probably scaring my neighbours. Amazing experience.

i think i was never sweating as much watching a professional game, as i did watching this game. I kinda looked like boaster when it was 3:11 xD and i think, loud would have won, if the crowd started cheering again close to the end. because they heard the crowd becomming silent, imagine them getting loud again and pushing their team. that might have been the bit support loud needed to step up for the last 2 rounds.
