I like to think this is a EXE timeline where Tails has gone crazy by illusions and watching other get killed, and despite being crazy, has decided to face Sonic.EXE

Or maybe Tails is already in his genocidal route, and somehow Exe manifests into Sonic's traumatized mind, being able to take over it in due time.

I like to think the whole reason this happened is that they are mad at each other, and decided to track each other down. Tails is mad at Xenophanes because he chased away the real Sonic, killed Sonic, or impersonated Sonic. Meanwhile, Xenophanes is mad at Tails for killing off his victims before him.

Tails: *giving his speech to Exe* Exe: *The fuck you talkin bout?*

"Yes,it is i." _"Now,how about you come give your friend a big hug?"_

Huh, this is the rare time I actually feel kinda concerned for Sonic.EXE instead of Tails. I say that because I am convinced that Tails will straight-up murder .EXE for being a 'faker'.

its my head canon that exe even though they call themselves gods and are murderous monsters, they enjoy toying with their opponents, so the fact exe is rapping and gets pissed when he loses makes total sense. he wants to drag BF and all who challenge him to a rap battle down to their level and completely destroy their ego before finishing them off.

I think there was a missed opportunity to add in some of Sonic.exe's laugh and screems during laughs mantic laughs but this is still amzing.

I made up a story for this: after tails killed knuckles and shadow, he felt overwhelming sadness. a monster needed to find a host who felt so negative, and sonic was currently the best candidate. the monster possessed him, and then the monster looked at one of sonics memories about tails, so then he went back to confront him.
