I know multiple people have realized this but I like how Mario and Sonic are actually serious about fighting and give each other "The Stare" the whole time, while Tails and Luigi are just there for the vibes.

A couple references missed you might already be aware of but should be mentioned: The opening countdown is a reference to the sonic 3 time trial 2 player mode. The “blast away” is from sonic heroes Mario’s “lets a go” is from super mario 64. The beginning of tails’ part is a reference to triple trouble (the song not the game) Theres a sparta remix reference as well as an aquatic ruin reference just before the SMW reference.

1:50 if you hear closely, it even sounds like the duet of Shaggy and Matt in Final Destination

1:27 MIGHT be a reference to mirage saloon zone from sonic mania with the repeat notes though it could be something else. Just depends on how you hear it. Edit: also probably aquatic ruins for alot of people. It's probably that.

I always thought of this: 1:09 - While this is the correct theme used it's more audible when you hear the theme for E.Gadd's lab 1:27 - This vaguely reminds me of Kalamari Desert from Mario Kart 64 1:50 - This kinda obviously sounds like Final Destination from the Shaggy mod

The part about the drowning sountrack reference also sounds similar to one of the parts in the song 'final destination' in 'vs Shaggy×Matt' mod.

I believe that Luigi’s idle pose is a sort of reference to the AlphaDream Mario and Luigi games as well as Mario’s idle when he loses his power ups from damage. Maybe not but that’s just what it looks like to me. I seriously hope people know what I mean-

The drowning is far from it. It starts slow then start to build up speed then but it's the song shaggy and Matt theme gets its light motif from.
