Mhm. That title is what got me into anime to begin with. Haven't watched anime in a while, but DDLC introduced me to the medium as a whole. DDLC is more of a "bait-and-switch" thing specifically made to be a game. They take advantage of being a game title and use it to create fourth wall breaks and horror in that regard. Another game also did this, called You and Me and Her, which was the inspiration for DDLC. I was thinking more of a manga that had an initial selling point that's thrown out the window for something much more horrifying as you read on. This concept probably has already been done now thinking about it. I'm not aware of any popular manga that did this though, but I think it's a great idea yet to be taken advantage of.
