@@mellohi6175 I mean... I'd argue it's better to criticize an unfinished product than a full release, as long as the criticism is constructive. When it's unfinished, the devs have plenty of time to heed the criticisms and change things before official release. Once the update is actually released, though, the odds of Darnell's vocals getting changed are slim-to-none.
It's really weird to criticize what is literally an unfinished leak, the Kickstarter wasn't that long ago and with the sheer size of the game that's being planned, there is no reason we should assume anything we've seen is the final draft. Literally none of it is going to be finalized and was never going to be the finalized versions. We weren't supposed to hear or see any of this, why are people surprised these songs seem unedited or unbalanced, they were L E A K E D and this game will take several years to get out! I'm honestly surprised by the mass response of disappointment these are getting, no one is using their heads lol
@@alucaardius if you knew anything about game production it usually takes a lot longer than 2 years to produce a game, especially considering they are developing a multiplayer platform for an online VS mode. In the game making world 2 years is nothing dude lmao
Because by the time this leak was released, it was old ANYWAY (roughly near a year old), the update contains way more content than just the Darnell week.
It's been a while since I saw anything fnf related, but i wanted to see Darnell and Nene ever since week 3. Darnell, as in the track, completely steals the show here. It's fire, but a slow-cooked beat, perfect for Newground's arsonist fireboy.
Lit Up is by far the best song of the new week the feeling of dread The amazing instrumental and the fact they put Endless Handbag in some parts to make the song more catchy and have even more this feeling of dread A fusion between Darnell's vocals with Pico singing making the instrumental also more catchy It's really fuckin good my second favorite song from the base game hands down just behind Guns
@@pyromainiac5758 I still have a semblance of respect for the modding scene, but not a lot. A large amount it doesn't even compare to Kawai Sprite and also feels extremely out of place, not at all capturing the original game's feel. And hell, some mods even become their own fandoms, of which I have zero interest in delving into.
It’s basically became a competition on which mod is the most sad and “unique”. Less is more but some mod creators seems to not get that. They’re so talented, don’t get me wrong but a lot of it is over done.
@@Thetableishot Presentation wise, there are some really visually awesome and creative mods, but the actual "Funkin" aspect seems to be less of a focus for these creators. Like, with a lot of these mods, I easily remember the art, but can't for the life of me remember how any of the songs actually go.
Score is definitely a fan-made instrumental; Kawai puts nods to other songs he made sometimes, but only to a certain extent. I am 75% sure it’s fan-made. Darnell, Lit Up, and 2Hot I believe are official in instrumental and Pico chromatics, while Darnell’s chromatics were either put together by hand using what the leak contained or is simply a work in progress. Bro is so thorough and well put together that I’m 50/50 on it being fan-made or not. The game over theme is undoubtedly Pico’s, if not then at least Darnell’s. Only Kawai adds those deep voice parts. I’m really curious as to how right and wrong I’ll be when the update’s out.
Love all these songs, hope Bro ends up in-game, and score was really great too! Darnell, Lit Up, and 2Hot all sound great, but I hope they change Darnell’s voice so it stands out a bit more from the instrumental
I don't dislike darnels voice, I actually really like the bassey sounds, my only problem is that I feel the same sample gets used too much. pico has much more variety while singing, while sometimes darnel just goes ee ee ee ee over and over without switching to any other vowels or sounds. I think if he used more sounds it would work much better because I think his voice is very underrated, it just needs a little work

it was found in the freeplay menu of a old build apparently, in the code the asscoiated character was 'gf' nm99 said in a ama that week 8 would be a oc. and since the song was paired with darnells songs, bro is a week 8, and its name has a little more meaning to it based off what i just said.
The new version of Darnell is so much better then W.I.P version, happy it had a over haul since the other two songs seem like they weren’t changed much
the fanmade songs are real lol. its in the prototype build ninjamuffin accidently leaked to the github page. whoever is saying they know the modder or the modder said he made it, the modder is a liar, phantomarcade said the 4chan prototype leak was real when we was going mad, i literally have it downloaded lol.
@@shaitet as a playable character yes, since if it was the asset from his week the animations would be flipped, basically, if you hit a right note he'll do his left pose. but im sure his sprite will be the same in his week. oh and the different pico sprite is by a different artist i THINK
My thoughts on these songs Darnell: great song, but it lacks that thing that scratches my brain the right way (like the drop in M.i.l.f, or the entirety of Guns) Tier - B (Edit) Never mind. 2:38 to 3:15 hit me really hard, like holy shit Tier - Now it’s an A+ Lit Up: Really good, I especially love the instrumentals cuz it sounds really dreamy, but I personally don’t like it when vocal sections repeat back to back and sound the same. I can look past it though since it’s not as jarring as other songs Tier - B+ 2Hot: This one, something’s off about this one. I think it’s how all the vocal sections are repeated, so it ends up getting repetitive Tier - C (Edit): I’ve figured it out boys. It’s not how the turns are repeated back to back that gets on my nerves, but how repetitive Darnell’s vocals are in this one. Like I swear it’s just the same 3 notes repeated over and over. In conclusion, I would still rather listen to these than most songs the mod community has cooked up. Therefore it’s a good week. Tiers would be higher if Darnell’s vocals were louder (although I heard somewhere that these songs were still a work in progress, so I’m looking forward to hearing how their meant to be heard) Week Tier: B+ First two songs are great but are brought down by the third song.
This is HIGHLY SPECULATIVE, but what if bro is a cutscene where, since nene and Darnell were sent to assassinate pico, and they fail, it cuts to week 5 or something where daddy dearest pays hank to kill, bf, and he’s been following bf to see if he could seperate girlfriend from boyfriend, and it never happens, so then it cuts to week 8. hank appears from the shadows, shows the contract, and pico and friends start running away and shooting, hank dodges all and then pins all three with someone on his foot, puts the contract on the floor, and it ends. The next week takes place on a plane where in the second song a dimensional portal opens to Nevada and boyfriend, hank, pico, Darnell, and nene are sucked into the portal with girlfriend crashing somewhere else on the plane. The final song features a cameo of deimos and sandford and tricky.

@@thew7488 No, Kawai Sprite finished the music for Week 8 by around June 2021, KawaiSprite should no longer be working on Darnell's Week, must be working on the Erects remixes or any of the characters like hank, cassette, i don't know
@@DaMemeManDanYou're probably right with this one. I've just seen a lot of traces of the darnell sprites from when they leaked in around 2022, and there was one that mistakenly gave him a tooth gap.
Not sure how im feeling about these songs. Darnell feels way too slow and quiet, lit ups ok, and 2hot feels jarring to listen to because of darnels voice. This style of music just doesnt match the deep almost burping sound of darnel's voice. Half the time it feels like his voice is too quiet and almost drowned out. Its not terrible, but its really held back by darnell's deep and quiet voice. I think the idea was to act as a percussion but it just doesnt work here. He needs to either have a louder prominent voice, or they need to give him a voice that fits with pico's voice.

@@hellbot.9666 honestly youre right, because reprogramming a game like fnf should only take about 5 months as shown by the countless mod engines. Finishing the week up wouldve only taken about 2-3 months. which makes me wonder what the hell they were doing the last about 2 1/2 years.
@ritz-zyz not confirmed or anything in the slightest. Its most likely a beta version of blazin because they use the same instruments in some parts and have similar progression (you can even just hear how some of the punches would have synced)
Ehh, the songs are okay I guess? Really not a fan of Darnell's 'voice', if you can even call it that. If this is actually real, then I really hope they change it, I can't even think of a way to make those samples sound good. I do really like the start to this part though lol 2:19 "Pico, woah woah woah. Pico, Pico, pa pa paw-"
