It looks like Steven is holding back, seeing as the song pattern isn’t as hard as most others. Tbh it fits his character. He never wanted to hurt anyone, he just wanted to help.

1:02 was already enough but constantly hearing steven saying “ I don’t get it! “, “why wont you run “, and hearing his glitching sounding like laughs and desperate crying makes it so much more compelling. Absolutely magnificent!

DUDE THIS LOOKS SICK! Love the more apocalyptic look on BF! Him holding Pico's gun tells a very interesting story just by looking at it. Also, usually the glitch monster versions of the characters would have hard and challenging music/patterns to go with them but here it's calm. I like that though, it really fits Steven. That "THIS ISN'T A GAME" will forever leave a haunting but memorable feeling.

What really gets me of this song is that when Steven sings and talks, he seems like he's trying to fight back and avoid the corruption/distortion to get to BF and Pibby, but when Spinel makes her entrance....she seems surprisingly excited, almost as if the corruption had fully taken over her and told her she could let off steam by killing innocent people after all she's been through. That, or the Corruption is able to distort a character to the point of Mimicking a completely different mood for them. I haven't fully watched Pibby yet, but I think this corruption is meant to represent a dark, small part of each of us, who is not able to watch our childhood go without doing anything to save it. Steven Universe is a good example of this. I'm sure at least some of us, myself included, felt a bit low knowing a series we grew up with was gonna disappear soon. This is my honest opinion so far, but if you got some thoughts to share, feel free to. I think this corruption concept is quite interesting

Now I understand why some people seem disturbed by learning with Pibby’s concept. Seeing the Very characters we grew up in a twisted, uncanny way, bending and breaking in ways you wouldn’t expect. The idea of seeming to be enveloped in this unknown force of who knows what is terrifying, we don’t know what this static is, where it came from or if it ever has a weakness at all.

I love the idea of BF holding Pico's gun. It's like he's going through the same as Pibby. Having to learn that he can't rap out of everything. He has to actually fight for his survival. Possibly during the song we have to press bullet arrows for BF to shoot. Slowing down the corruption. Also maybe during the song, health drain is the main gimmick. It starts off strong, but with each bullet, it gets weaker and weaker. Miss a bullet, it gets stronger. Edit:I propose another gimmick. When Steven says "THIS ISN'T A GAME!" he goes pink, instead of fighting BF, he fights himself, swinging wildly at himself draining his OWN HP letting BF shoot him. But BF is hesitant, his breathing increases making the scroll speed increase. It takes the player multiple times for BF to pull the trigger. Let's say 3 bullet arrows = one shot during this part. I've seen people suggest spinel using her scythe during the song as a dodge mechanic, however the rejuvenator only affects gems, aka it would do no harm to BF in any way besides being a big scary object. No no, what I think should happen is Spinel trying to GRAB BF, to bring him closer to the corruption. Every "Grab" arrow missed, BF gets closer to the corruption, the HP bar, like in monochrome loses some of it's life, becoming a glitchy mess on the bottom. If you miss 3, the corruption slowly crawls over the screen, blinding you until you're dead.

Something I noticed: Steven is shouting the line "THIS ISN'T A GAME!" and Spinel is saying "This is how you started? The legend? Steven Universe?" . I know this is a concept, but they wouldn't just say this for no reason. This leads two things for Steven: A.) Steven is still somewhat conscious, holding back what little he has left. The reason he's saying this is probably because BF isn't taking this seriously, as he doesn't for a lot of his battles, while Steven is actually trying his hardest to not go all in on both BF and Pibby. B.) The Corruption is easily angered. This can tie into it representing something, and also gives BF and Pibby some new information on the Corruption. As for Spinel: A.) Spinel could very well not have the same will as Steven to stay conscious, so she could very well be fully taken over. Coming into the picture, She's taunting Steven for not going all in by spitting out that same line from before. B.) She's just like Steven, but sees this as a way to become stronger. Also, the first one could be pretty true, because Spinel does still have her sythe, which only effects gems. The Corruption could already know that it can't get full control over Steven, so has Spinel with him to hit him with the sythe, weaken him and prevent him from breaking free.

I’ve seen a few people talk about what they think the title of the song’s meaning is, but my own interpretation is along the lines of how throughout Steven Universe, the whole premise in a sense is how everyone can be redeemed or “changed”, how everyone goes through their own character arcs and generally Steven is the one to help push or inspire one’s change for the better, whether it’s discovering themselves or getting past trauma. While here in this case, not only is it less of a “you can change if you try!” But more of a “You’ll make the change”, it’s not a choice your given to better yourself, it’s a corrupted demented Steven encouraging and trying to MAKE you change for the worse. Hence the forceful nature, almost the complete opposite of Steven’s usual compassionate demeanor.

I really like the title of the song. Not only is it a clear reference to a key lyric from Change, it also describes the goal of both parties- the glitchy corruption wants Pibby and Bf to "make the change" to its side, while Pibby and BF want to "make the change" that will lead the glitched characters to freedom. It's a nice double meaning.

What would really make this one hit much harder is if this took place after the Vs Spinel mod. BF and Steven were Buddies in a multiversal sorta way, so it might have a lot more significance to BF. Probably not Pico levels of significance, but more like a "no, not you too!" kind of significance.

I really like how you made them all their unique, yet still the same pibby art style! If this actually comes out as a mod, i'll looking forward to it! Nice concept otherwise!!

This is literally the perfect thing. It actually makes me wonder, if Pibby did actually become a full show, would the glitch (Distortion) actually use the characters more than just being creepy abominations, and actually use the character attributes more than just the one part we saw with Finn and Jake. It'd be interesting if Steven actually appeared, and literally tried to get them to join willingly, while also using the powers he has. (Also, I like how this song actually feels like a song that would come from Steven Universe.)

Saying “This isn’t a game” and “I don’t get it” is basically showing how strained he is, and his cry’s of trying to reach out with his glitchy voices makes this even better quality

I’ve been thinking about this reading others’ theories and have come up with a small theory of my own: I think Steven is able to fight/resist the corruption in some way, seeing as how his speech is a lot clearer and less glitchy overall than the others (spinel and SpongeBob currently) and how he *actively summoned his shield.* I think the corruption is also aware of this and put Spinel there as a stand-in to sort of keep him in check in a way ? Whenever Steven begins to break free of the corruption Spinel comes in to harass him and force his consciousness back into submission. Maybe it’s not just Steven though, maybe it’s the main characters from every show. Their importance is relevant in every series they’re in so it would be reasonable to assume they’re able to fight this corruption in some way with “the power of the main character” lol, though in this kind of situation they are no longer a main character but a roadblock trying to stop pibby and whoever else she comes in contact with.

Imagine he screams out a distorted (and loud) “SHE’S GOOOOONNE-“ in the middle of the song, and one of the characters disappears. (Probably GF)

Why do I feel like seeing this animated is going to make me sad? Also, the way you drew Steven and Spinel together is killing me cuz my messed up angsty brain can’t stop imagining that they stood the exact same way probably trying to protect Beach City but they failed so it’s like they’re recreating it but as their corrupted selves

It looks like the corruption fully took over of spinel’s whole, “twist and stretch thing.” Even her eyes were glitched out, heck her pupils might’ve even been stretched with her power and how the corruption took control of it, and don’t even get me started with her limbs.. Though I am confused how she just has another rejuvenator laying around considering Steven broke her first one - idk it’s probably to make the atmosphere creepier, infact I just realized that the corruption probably made another one for her-

Ayo! The song concept is super well made! Steven still seems like he’s semi-trying to hold it back unlike some of the other characters since his pattern song seems much more simple than the Finn song concept, he even actually speaks. I feel like the spinel part should get a lot harder though. Edit: I’m going to add to this, Spongebob and Oswald, which came after this didn’t follow as much of a pattern as Steven. Spongebob’s song had a few key sections, but was much more chaotic. Oswald also had a few key pieces that were based off his original song, but it was much more sporadic with the transformation and the gunshots and everything.

I love the idea that Steven has too strong of a will-power for him to be completely taken over and that's why he summons his shield as if he's tryna protect himself from something and and he screams "THIS ISNT A GAME" because he wants to make pibby and BF leave and take it more serious. And he says "I don't get it!" Because either A. he doesn't understand why he can't get the courption of him or B. He doesn't get how they aren't running in fear And because spinel doesn't have that same will-power she looks more demented and ready to attack. Also it might just be me imagining things but Steven looks like he's less courpted. He looks relatively normal compared to overs. I may be over thinking things tho

I love how he actually uses a glitch visual. If you don’t get what I’m saying here, he uses an effect that is ACTUAKLY showing glitches, but cropped into a bit of goop, like Chowder with his clothing, it uses a texture of glitch that gets shoved into something to form a shape with parts cut out here and there making odd shapes or making it look odd. You get what im sayin?

THE FACT THIS LOOKS LIKE BF GOT PUT INTO THE SAME SITUATION PIBBY DID IS INSANE! (I mean just look at his design! He has a backpack, Pico's gun, he's missing his hat, and he looks like he got hurt and it's now covered by the bandaid on his face!) The title reference, the vocals, the art style looking similar to Pippy's, the fact Steven sounds like he's trying to use real words at certain points, Spinel coming outta fricking nowhere near the end, just wow! Edit; OK GUYS I GET IT, I MESSED UP PIBBY THE FIRST TIME I WROTE THIS! I fixed it, please stop commenting on it!

This is all just a personal thought AND MOST LIKELY NOT HOW LEARNING WITH PIBBY’S CORRUPTION WILL WORK, but I’d like to imagine that some of the corrupted cartoons seem to be a little less violent, and might just be a little emotional, leading to them only accidentally hurting or corrupting someone; someone like Gumball, or Steven and Amethyst. By emotional, I mean how Steven screams “THIS ISN’T A GAME!! I DON’T GET IT!” halfway through. this might lead to some memories of his past fight with spinel on top of the injector, leading him to remember. This causes Steven to stop trying to fight BF and Pibby, but instead start arguing with spinel at 2:08 . Steven finally remembers who he is by the end of the song, and Spinel runs off. Steven falls to the ground, unconscious, but he doesn’t seem to be glitchy anymore. Steven is now mostly non-corrupted, but he still will bug out every now and then. I’d imagine this song as a tutorial of sorts; to show that by reminding a character of who they are, it can fix them. Of course, that’s all hypothetical, since the show hasn’t come out yet and we have NO IDEA how the corruption works, so this could easily all be incorrect. Just thought I’d share how I think it may work out.

Here’s what I imagine for the song so far: Because of how Steven’s posture is and his left hand, it looks like he’s chased BF and Pibby down for a while and the two are cornered. He summons his shield after realizing BF had a gun. His leader side shows through the corruption and tries to get them to leave. This happens because he gets pissed at the singing, pretty much. A few notes are covered in shields. If you hit them, your health gets knocked down a bit and some of it is blocked off by a pink shield of the same design which prevents your health from going all the way back up. Spinel shows up after watching for a while. If you look hard enough you could see her lurking around whatever background you imagine, finally perching up somewhere high on the screen where her shadow is visible before jumping down to fight you. Spinel, being evil to begin with, seems to be more in control of Steven and he stops trying to help you. All notes are doubled for this segment.

The only Pibby x FNF song I actually want to listen to once in a while. The instrumental sounds like it came straight from an episode of Steven Universe, with those electronic beats and the sick bass guitar.

ngl i feel kid!steven would be creepier, but this totally works with future steven. i honestly fee a pibby mod would go best with an amalgam and each move or change in the song would switch to a different character, since it’s all one glitchy mess. but at the same time we know it can manifest into multiple beings, like we saw in the all out war part. i feel if this was made into a proper multi week mod, each week should be a show maybe. the SU one, adventure time one, and it’d be multiple weeks

He takes back controll of his body for a second and cluches his head and points behind them like he's telling them to run, also at 2:05 i like to think that he kneels down while in control and starts spitting that stuff up and when he uses his glitched voice the goop takes control back

I'd imagine the story during this OST would have a double meaning, with "steven" & "spinel" trying to bring them in, while BF & pibby are trying to "change" them back from the glitch, & everyone else in the process. & seeing as GF isn't anywhere with him, I'm guessing the glitch might use Steven's distorted (& loud) voice line of "SHE'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOONE!" whenever BF mentioned his GF in an attempt to bring him down further & implying that it's taken her too, in the process. I mean, it clearly took pico, so...might as well, right? Death spares no one, after all. Not even gods.

Since this is Steven's Future look, from the EPILOGUE series *[separate from the original show], and hypothetically would have different timeslots that the corruption could take over*, I'd love to see the Steven in the original series see Future Steven corrupted (or vice versa) and see how he would react *(wouldn't be the first time Steven sees his future self die but would be more impactful if he'd see a contorted face ot a future he's never seen)* If it would be vice versa though, *I'd like to see Future Steven see his childhood self, and remembering that he just smiled through that trauma and that was not really the best way to cope*

I feel like after the partially corrupted Steven says “this isn’t a game” and BF continues singing thinking it’s all fine Steven then says “I don’t GET IT!” Cause he’s aggravated that he’s trying to save them or help them save him and BF still doesn’t know. This can also be complied with spinel barely talking and when she does she taunts Steven cause he is barely fighting back the corruption. That would kinda explain why she never talks past that and Steven still says he doesn’t get it. Edit: Ignore every single thing I said. Every single thing. He’s not holding back he’s not partially still alive. Nope not at all. He’s been GOT. That creature has his in there hands and also has spinel. Ignore all of that

Going back to the original after seeing the new version, I see that the art here is a bit more detailed. The extra glitches in the eyes, the overall dirtier and more glitchy version, and the creepier designs for Steven really make the art here better(aside from spinel’s, I definitely prefer the new art). Although, the new art is animated, and I get that it would take more effort to add those extra glitches.

I like to imagine the story behind this is that while pibby is going through her story with the glitch, overtime the glitch itself finds a way to seep into not only cartoons, but video games as well. Causing the glitches to spread on BFs characters especially his GF, meanwhile pibby accidentally winds up in his world and takes BF in as a survivor and from then on they battle the glitch characters leading them here.

Even if this is just a concept it’s still amazing.

Seeing Steven fight for his life and even telling BF that it isn't a game, as he has to fight for some things and not just rap...We can even find *_LORE_* of what's gonna be in this. Steven is being corrupted, fighting the corruption, and BF raps because if in another timeline (The other corruption) rapping could stop it, he could maybe save people rapping here too. If it didn't work, fighting was pretty much the only option. I saw a theory saying that Spinel has his scythe, which only affects gems, and that it's so she makes Steven dissapear, making the corruption get control over pink quartz/Steven, ending it and making Steven part of it.

To think that this was one of the videos that started to get pibby way more popular than it already was

Anyone feel like the reason why the glitched characters are "happy" is because most people find glitches funny,but actually they can be extremely horrific.

I ike how BF actually seems scared, and is holding a gun. It's nice to see mods that give BF a personality and emotions rather than just "haha i'm gonna win :)"

This is actually terrifying because I imagine they are like zombies but they still have their conscience and they are being forced to do whatever the glitch is making them do

I didn’t notice this until just now, but if you look at the blank gunk on Steven’s left foot, you can just see “[adult” in it. Of course, because Learning with Pibby is on Adult Swim (hopefully to be seen as a full series in the future).

It's funny cause Spinel's Scythe do nothing to humans.

I still find it funny to imagine the entire wave of glitchy monsters coming after pibby and there's a bunch of the glitchy characters are about to consume them. Only to have BF be like "I got this shit." And pulls out a microphone and rap battles for his life, along with the rest of the survivors. It's just funny to me to have BF trying to sing his way out of death.

Looking back at this this gives feelings that not many other pibby songs were able to it was able to give the feeling that something is not right it gives feelings that steven is trying to trick bf into getting infected at 1st then when spinel comes in it gives feelings that they are doing the same but they are having slip ups but when they both start feeling it feels like they are starting to get annoyed and just start putting more anger into it but after spinel laughs it feels like they just start losing it while steven try's to escape

I have a theory about Pibby Steven: the corruption only took over his human half, not his gem, which is why it seems like he’s able to resist.

I personally think it could be a reference to the corruption mod, because underneath the corruption he still has his *k r i m a* attire on. I like the Idea where BF is almost a forgotten cartoon/game involved in the project. Very good detail.

The "THIS ISN'T A GAME!" Makes me think he's crying for help.

A cool idea I had while watching this is that spinel or steven would attack you, and in order to block it you would need to either press a note, or spacebar. They would glow white 2 times and then attack, but a cool thing about this is that pibby would block it (sword maybe? Dunno), and if you miss pibby gets courrupted and if there are other weeks I imagine if you lost pibby it would stay that way for the other weeks

THIS IS SICK, I NEED THIS MOD SO MUCH

If a pibby mod ever comes out, here is some of the things I want in the mod: Characters from popular mods. So basically: Whitty, Zardy, and much more And each character having their own abilities that could possibly help or somethin And a infection mechanic, if you lose 3 lives, game over. The character your playing as becomes infected and can be encountered. I think it would be quite cool. Edit 2! A map, which has possibilities of you encountering a infected, could be a Cartoon Network map like let’s say the gumball show. Has its own map, but you have a very high chance of encountering gumball, the infected variant. The reason why I say variant is because: Basically balance, gumball could be infected, or could not be infected. So basically every run you do basically has some characters chance of being infected, but will be balanced in the end. 2v2: mehhh Idk for this feature, but just sounds cool. Edit 3!! scratch the whitty idea, I didn’t want it to be disrespectful. Edit 4. Final boss fight: the name explains it all, you know that one bunny guy? Yes I forgot his name and I won’t bother editing this to say his name right, but anyway since I think he kinda looks like some overlord to me, he’s basically the final boss. Edit I don’t even know Taken from one of the ideas that a person commented: For example, gumball vs Darwin, or Darwin vs gumball. The corrupted one would get a buff since I’m pretty sure gumball and Darwin are brothers. And since the not corrupted one would prob be sad or frustrated fighting their brother, they get a debuff. Could be random or somethin That’s all I have for now lol

I really hope we get more of these songs. I find it REALLY impressive how all of these sounds were hearing are the characters voices being all distorted.
