When I first started playing this DLC, I was one of the people that just hated it. Now, years later, I find it to be one of my favorites.

It makes me happy to see people are still playing this incredible game ten years later

Man, hats off to you. This is by far the best guide I’ve seen for the Sierra Madre. I’m a completionist and I have trouble finding all the loot in dlc’s. It really bothers me when I miss something in a dlc that you can’t return to and this guide is great. Keep up the good work. Great content.

For anyone having a hard time in the last run to the exit after taking all of your items from Elijah, you can take a turbo and that will slow the explosion countdown, giving you enough time to escape while being overencumbered.

Bro I just did this. Fastest I've ever run through Dead Money and first time I've ever done this trick to get all the gold bars. Bro my heart was POUNDING at the end, but when I made it through the door I threw my headset off and just cheered! Thank you for this bro!

My first play through, I only found like 3 of Dean's stash and I thought I really scoured. I actually missed a lot. This guide like all your other guides are really good, no bs and to the point, good and proper. You're a gentleman and a scholar, kind sir.

If you want to trap him, you can find a stealth in the bell tower, on the second floor in an ammo box hidden in a corner.

Dead money was my personal favorite dlc. It had a great story, had the perfect level of challenge and had lots of good loot and my favorite weapon the holorifle. I would definently say that for the average player that in many ways old world blues was better but I personally preferred this dlc and it was always fun to try to find all the hidden stuff. I have played through this dlc several times and enjoyed each and every time but I remember my first playthrough of it and remembered struggling and how difficult it was but once you understand what to do and if you ever replay it, it gets easier each time. I think if alot of people replayed it or gave it a 2nd chance that more people would enjoy it.

Here's a fun challenge: try to play Dead Money on mute! It's what *I* had to do the first time I played it because my monitor didn't have audio outputs. To this day I feel traumatized by how many times I died _on _*_very_*_ easy mode_ because I couldn't HEAR the beeps getting louder near the radios

Great guide. Concise, and I really appreciate that it's as long as it needs to be but no longer. Only gripes I have is that at 11:42, you kind of gloss over the fact that that's a really difficult jump that wasn't intended by the devs, which might confuse some viewers. Also, you missed a bunch of skill books - unarmed at the fountain, medicine in the clinic basement, barter in the home next to the door that leads to the belltower greater area, guns (can't remember where this one is, actually), and those are only the ones I personally found. Still, really great guide, especially with the emitter locations. :)

The only thing I hate about this DLC is that its a fucking maze.

Quick tip: if you got implant grx and you decide to do sierra madre late, it almost completely stops the bomb collar ticking and u get to live 😊

Amazing guide until the end, that's the really hard way to do it. I just hide behind the Tesla coil thing to the right when you walk out of the inner most area that has the gold in it. Also use a stealth boy, I dont know where you find one in the dlc but I do 100% completions of dead money and I always have one stealth boy by the end. A higher sneak skill seems to actually help too. When Elijah starts to grab for the computer start sneaking toward the door he entered and then stand up to get a little boost and you should be able to get past the force field door. I save when I'm crouched behind the Tesla coil thing and keep retrying from there, just did it in three tries with all the time in the world to saunter out of there. Just tried this again one year later without the stealth boy but with 100 sneak and did it first try easy peasy.

I have wanted a guide like this since this DLC first dropped and I was still playing FNV on an xbox 360. Thank you for all of these guides, you're saving me an insurmountable amount of time.

People who never tried this in the old days will never understand trying to get all of the rare items in a dark area with fog while using multiple videos that are in low quality. this was so much harder back in the day. But I am glad of videos like these because of how frustrating it was especially when you have to create a new character and you miss a lot of the good stuff. If you know anything about how complex the map is and how time consuming it is to combine 2 tutorials to get everything in 1 run let alone combining multiple tutorials which is insane. Like I am amazed because I can tell you worked very hard on this and had to figure how to get everything in one run with old videos with quality in a foggy confusing dark map. Give this man a mandatory like or even subscribe because this is well done and tutorial makers who put in a lot of effort don't make much as someone who just uploads a random viral meme.

Thank you so much for producing this, it’s a tremendous help. I lost all my 360 data a while ago, and among that data was Fallout New Vegas. I’m trying to recreate my first play through for sentimental reasons. This guide made Dead Money so much less stressful. The challenge is stimulating, no doubt a rough ride trying to make the most of it, still enjoyable even if it is time consuming, because we’re walking out with everything. Awesome work!

This is by far the best fallout tutorial I’ve ever seen. Clean smooth easy to follow along helpful walkthrough. Fallout is such a big game I bet there’s still new crazy things to discover. If you have any cool loot, unique weapons or amour spots, quests or locations you know about you should post them. I would love to see more fallout content in 2020

Thanks alot for the guide, it was really helpful, especially with the bit about getting the gold out. Another method (if you don't care about Elijah's loot) is to face the forcefield, toward the exit (leave a bit of space but not too much) look at the ground at the other side of the forcefield and drop the bars to the other side and just run out normally (thanks to Kitty oppositions for that method, he has a vid on it), it takes a few tries so save before you try it. Another way i just found is to just run/walk straight to the structure under the turrets, and just start sneaking when Elijah starts stepping towards where the forcefields would appear, till you reach the corner area by the exit, then exit sneak and if you time it all right you can literally just waltz past the forcefield (before it appears) out of there with all the gold bars like someone left you a key under the doormat and leave Elijah to his fate. Hope this helps someone new to this, good luck.

This is a great guide. The end only took me like 5 tries. Key is being in 3rd person when opening Elijah’s inventory to get gold bars back

Awesome guide. Also there's still the super stimpak and Hologram Rifle focus optics vending machine codes in the Bell Tower where you trigger the event, the "Pugilism Illustrated" skill book laying on the ground somewhere around the water fountain you start off at, and the "Nikola Tesla and You" skill book in a duffel bag next to a skeleton below the vault on a pipe (face 180º from the vault door and look off the ledge at the pipes below).

Every time I do dead money, I always get this guide and follow it to the T. Expect for escape at the end. I try and do the harder "sneak away" option

great vid! every new playthrough i start i come to see all the DLC guides because i just can't remember where the loot is side note tho: for the last part, its possible to sneak past elijah with the gold bars, and i think its easier than killing him. u just need to get the timing right sorry if i mispelled something, english is not my first language.

Finally decided to do this dlc on my pc, done it once on xbox years ago. I am one of those people who hate hate hate this, this video is a godsend! Awesome stuff!

What I've learned, it's super simple to make it out with everything. As soon as you're done with the conversation, go right for the money, take all the gold as fast as a human being can, then all the weapons, then take the middle path and turn to go to the exit area. Make sure to have used a stealth boy so Elijah doesn't see you the entire way through. Then, if you were fast enough, the forcefields close behind you, and you've already escaped, mostly. The door will close in front of you, but it opens again right away, and you can just go through to the one out, and you've done it!

Loved the guide only issue i found was the end ,trynna get elijahs body through the fields is very hard and also its seem like they made the collar bomb timer go faster cuz i can never make it to the last door after going up the stairs ,seems like the only way is sneaking past him now

What a game... I absolutely love Obsidian is one of my favorite Sh.. Dead money was really tough the first time I played it but the challenge is always balanced and never frustrating, NV is a masterpiece, the best in Fallout series (imho).

10 years later after this DLC dropped, I still hate it from the bottom of my heart. Good loot indeed but the atmosphere is making me on edge. I hate it. Thanks for the guide, really helped me to replay this nightmare. Props to Obsidian 🎉

Fantastic guide. Only thing that could be more optimized is taking the gold out. The locker in the vault has stealth boys in it. Pop one, wait crouched behind the generator to the right. Ass soon as Elijah approaches the vault computer, just stand and turn to the door and you'll most likely walk through before the for field kicks on almost every time. Quick, easy, almost no danger and you get all the gold.

To hell with beating the dog collar timer. I just snuck by Elijah and trapped him in the vault. That way I dont have to fight him and the door he comes out of to meet you is right there at the exit.

So when I found this I was amazed that a list actully had what I needed. So after following everything I got all I need and right to the vault. But what I learned is with the half second delay opening a terminal gives I could get a 5 foot difference in the running. Turns out that 5 feet let me walk past all the doors of the vault the way Elijah came in. I thank you so much for showing us how to get the gold to that door or I never would've walked out with all the gold. So again thank you for this video it helped a lot

This video took me like a 4 days to finish bc I was following step by step😭 but it was a great guide now I’m ballin in stimpacks

One issue I had was I couldn't access Elijah's inventory through the barrier, this may take a few tries and you might need some turbo to shave off some extra time but if u can blow his limbs off they can sometimes glitch through the barrier allowing you access to his inventory and even closer to the door

My heart has never beater so fast every limb shaking after 4 attempts I did it god that was scary I love the guide and u man ur a freaking legend bro

You can also sneak out with the gold bars with a stealth boy but it's very tricky, there's guides on that specifically tho

Thanks so very much for this guide. It had been over a decade since I played this game and I was really hesitant to play Dead Money. With this guide, I did make it through and get everything and managed to make it out with 8 automatic rifles. That's a personal record and the most I have ever gotten. And for once its on an OP character. Thanks for everything you did in this. The DLC was however still very difficult to navigate and omg the amount of ghost people at the gala.

Thanks for saving me the headaches..... MAN was that DIFFICULT, I mean you have to fucking time it and speed run it and half the time one thing throws me off or ruins it by seconds an getting my head blown off before that door.... Thanks again for the walkthough it helps alot

I just pulled this off on my 5th try after doing a Hardsave when I killed Elijah with the C-4 Explosives. I supplemented the lack of speed and precision with the Implant GRX Perk since I went straight to the DLC without learning how to make Turbo (or getting it from the Great Khans) and it worked LIKE A CHARM!!! I can’t thank you enough for this amazing video and the guide!

Following this guide was pain, the way you sped up some parts made it really painful to follow.

What an amazing guide brother, the only thing I do differently is at the end before going in I put down a bunch of mines and the c4 by the electrical pillars and 2 mins by the blue force field. Then after that I go loot the vault. Finally when I slowly walk out like a beached whale with all that weight I go up to the blue force field where I laid the 2 mines I push against the blue force field, so when he walks out it blows you through the blue force field and he walks out. pull out the detonator and KA BOM. and walk out the richest you'll ever be in New Vegas. Thanks for the guide again man saved me a lot of headaches!!!!

This dlc was my favorite ever since I first played it, the sierra Madre security armor was always so cool to me.

You make it looks so easy, cursed DLC...

I used this for my final run of the place to make sure I got all the collectibles. I did a different gold bar strategy where i slowly snuck past elijah on his way into the vault, but I love to see all the different ways players have said “let go? Thats hilarious” Thanks so much for this video, really appreciate how straightforward you are and how much you hate Dean Domino. He is the Worst

I just finished this in 2024, thought I would add that, the end part was one of the most tedious parts in a game I've ever played. pain in the ass but worth it, in my other playthrough I couldn't help but think back on how I left most of those gold bars because I just couldn't figure out how to get them all. I'm glad I could finish it.

he didn't mention this, but at the area where you grab the snowglobe, make sure to also loot the desks. they should have some Sierra Madre chips and some MF cells.

I remember gping through most of this dlc without a walk through and was so mad at how hard it was. But not looking back the difficulty and constant edge of losing everything was fun. Good memories now and 15 or 16 year old is happy to have been able to beat it. Only got away with 9 gold bars though. Still was good enough for me

Wish this included the skill books but great guide. Been fun replaying this game after my 50th play through of fallout 3.

The gold bars are a fine souvenir, but the real prize is seeing my pretty naked neck again once that collar comes off! I don't bother with most of the items in the Villa until after I escape the vault, then I can explore the Villa sans-collar to find all the stashes, weapons, and vending machine codes.
