Will the mtm pf22.2 give me thick suds with the Adam's 2.0 pressure washer? 1.38gpm at 1700psi(1700 is the actual running psi and 1.38gpm is the actual gpm)

@@somd_lftd_hoe8074 No need to wasting lot of money on MTM.. MJJC is decent quality enough and with 1.1 orifice it will foam like crazy with your lower pressure washer unit.

Can't justify the extra doh for the PF22.2, I think we all prefer the ease of having a wider neck for pouring on the MJJC as well as it's better balanced so that wins it for me

Thank you for this comparison. My biggest issues with the MTM are the front fan knozzle constantly changing its setting and the small bottle opening. The MJCC would be perfect IMO of it didn't go through so much product so fast. In terms of build quality, I think the brass vs stainless debate is a little overblown. $1,000 Kranzle pressure washers use brass pumps and no one seems to mind. Brass has proven itself to be an excellent material

You are right on that and the MTM is actually cast and plated and not machined as well. I have a $7 brass ball valve I have abused for over a year and its sits outside 24/7. Still works great.

The MJJC has gone up in price, but is still the better deal IMO. Can't beat the foam or extra functions.

@@CarsWithKeav Crazy thing is about 3-4 years ago I bought an MTM PF22 and it never worked right. Took it apart, changed the filter etc etc and it would just never foam correctly. So I bought a maxshine foamer last year and it worked really good, but the bottles threads got worn out after a month or so of use. Used my old pf22 bottle with the maxshine foamer after that and it worked lol but as it always goes, I couldn’t help myself so I purchased another mtm 😂

@@CarsWithKeav Well I used a snow foam yesterday that isn’t known to be a very thick style foam, so my next go around I’ll use my Adam’s Mega Foam which is very thick lol but from my one use yesterday I’d say yes, the pf22.2 worked very well 👍

MTM is way behind now though the Pro V2 and many other in the market have innovated. The V2 foams like nothing else. It is all preference though and both are great. I have moved on just for the ease of the bigger neck and the foam. You can’t go wrong either way though.

It was so much of a bargain the MJJC is now $90. No longer a "budget" option so I am searching for some lower end ones with a few extra dollars to convert into foaming monsters.

Both of these cannons get even better than what you see if you use a 1.1 mm orifice and the MJJC slightly edges out the MTM. The foam gets super thick it slides down as a whole sheet.

@@trsskater Very true, just be careful to not run the 1.1 on an Active or anything with a true 1.5 GPM or higher. You can burn out the motor and pump.

I am unsure of what the PSI is with the foam cannon never measured it. I measure my spray nozzles. I will check next time.

Keav, did the MJJC rebrand as the swift foam canon? I’ve bee. Looking on Amazon and when I search for the MJJC the swift model comes up, I can no longer find the pro 2 on Amazon that is not labeled swift? Their 3.0 is still branded the same.. but as I can see it looks identical to the MJJC but rebranded?

I mean that swift looks the same. The same leak proof cap it looks like. I have not tried to know, but sure looks like it. My thoughts are they are bringing supply down because Pro V3 comes out in a few months. They may have even sold the likeness to somebody else while they push for their V3. what was the PSI in your pressurexwasher and what size orifice was used in each cannon?

1.1mm orifice in each one (3:26 mark). The pressure washer at the time was a Ryobi 1600 which I would run at 1k PSI using a 3.0 nozzle. I am unsure of the PSI that it runs when the foam cannon is being used. I have not measured the PSI before when running a foam cannon to know. A good thing to start measuring though.

I'm using both right now. One with the pre-rinse foam and the other with the mitt wash shampoo. I don't use a bucket just foam the car a second time and wipe down.

My concern is that I can wash my truck twice with the MTM when using the Mjjc see I can only get to one side and then I have to refill to do the other side

That's weird for me the MJJC lasts longer than the MTM. It has a larger bottle to hold more product. Are the orifice sizes the same?

If you mean the bottle swing while moving around its most likely because the 1/4 quick connect the foam cannon is connected too as it will swivel.

you can but at some point you actually lose the performance as the orifice creates a bottleneck . advise with instructions MJJC prefers

Correct, once you get around 1.8 true GPM. Not advertised, but tested GPM then its time to go to 1.25 as you are putting a lot of stress on the pump. I've seen 2.0 GPM machine not put out more than 1.5 and a 1.5 put out higher than advertised.

Disagree somewhat but good video nonetheless. The black fan control on the MTM PF22 & PF22.2 is too loose for my liking and spins when you don’t want it to at times. When you sprayed the car’s side with each, it sure did seem to me that the MJJC had more foam. Now the bigger debate is does more foam pull off more dirt? I actually think more foam, if that’s what you like, might only benefit in better lubricity but a lesser foam is better at encapsulating and pulling off more dirt.

I have heard others say the black fan control is too loose, but mine is real tight. Maybe a production batch issue. I love the MJJC and the newer version 2 is even better. For some reason I just like the feel of the PF22.2, but that wall is being broken down its just hard to move on from a product that's been working flawless for years. I have the same thoughts on foam and tend to go thicker on the videos as that's what everybody wants. On the pre-rinse I go thinner to get the dirt off and I use a thick application for my mitt wash.

I'm no professional detailer but from what they say the thicker foam is better because when it clings to the surface for longer it allows for more working time to break things down before it slides away from it. You don't need to worry about it sliding of and pulling dirt to the ground. That's not the point of thick foam. It's to lift dirt off the surface so I can be removed from the surface without rubbing the paint which rinsing it off will do as well.

PF22 in UK is top heavy and falls over so it’s useless. You can only get the PF22 in US with a wide base. In the UK and Europe we all use the MJJC. We all use the MTM stainless guns as they are Industry standard.

They don’t have version 2 (Pf22.2) over there with the wider bottom? Mine still fall over when it’s empty even with the wide bottom. With liquid it doesn’t fall over.

Feel like Im missing something. Why did you use distilled water? Unless you have distilled water coming out of your tap isn’t that the lowest common denominator? Again, apologize if I’m missing something.

You buy it by the gallon at the store. It mixes better with the chemicals in the bottle and with no dissolved solids helps produce a better foam. Warm distilled water is even better. Now that I have a full DI water system you can get even better foam as the water going through the pressure washer has no solids in it to get that crazy thick foam. Not needed of course, but for people that have really hard water and don’t get much foam these are ways to get better foam. I use deionized or distilled water when doing any chemical dilution. Should always have some around in case you need to quick fill a radiator or fill up a battery that is low on water.

Foam Cannon is more for light dirt and on coated and protected surfaces. Gunked on dirt needs elbow grease and lots of pressure washer time. Hopefully you can do that without scratching the paint.

Rinsing the panels before snow foaming increases dilution ratio of the already diluted solution. Also, the foam has less ability to 'cling' to and lift the dirt off the car.

I like sleeker bottles too just don't like the small bottle neck. Cool thing is the BOSS and some of the MJJC have dual threaded tops so the tops can actually work with the PF22.2 bottle or any smaller car wash soap bottle.

@@brokentradgedy Brilliant Finish is nice and weighs the least of any foam cannon. I really like it. Watch the threads on the top. The cap doesn't have a precision thread so its easy to screw on crooked. The MJJC for me is just so functional especially the M22 fitting on the back that connects to the 1/4 QD. No tools needed to get to the orifice. Just unscrew the M22. I loved the PF22.2 design until I got ahold of the BOSS foam cannon with its all stainless steel milled form a single piece. PF22.2 is stamped and plated. We all got our favorites, but in the end they all do their job well.

Which unit they both very well. This was an older video and dilution ratio might have been different. The MJJC is now on version 2 and there is nothing on the market that can foam like it.

Its one of those catch 22 scenarios you can get more chemicals in there, but it is bulky for sure. They are supposed to be sending me a newer version that is not out yet. Lets see what they have changed.

Most Inline 6 Turbo Bimmers sound like this at low idle. You would barely hear it in my neighborhood every house has at least 1/2 acre between them and lots of trees to absorb sound. I could never live close enough to my neighbor for a car to bother them.

@@ironchefboyardeee it’s full straight pipe. It sounds like a tractor and is very loud. It has no back pressure with no cats, resonators or mufflers so at low rpm it does sound kind of like a tractor or a semi truck. Once you get about 2k RPM it changes tone.

Quite probably the worst review ever! Came to find out what was the best to find out that they're both good but...! Title says battle without a winner it's only sparing 🙄 If you did a side by side marks out of 10 for Quality/foam/easy of use/leakage/price I think you'd find the MJJC would beat your PF22.2 hands down! Just find it odd you couldn't bring yourself to say it.

Sorry I couldn't make the video you wanted and the result you wanted. What did you want the best out their against a cheap piece of crap? Nothing wrong with two quality products going head to head and letting the consumer make their own decision based off their needs. I prefer the 22.2 because of the build quality and clickable fan spray along with the better feeling adjustment wheel. Those maybe qualities you don't hold high and that's fine, we all have our own opinions.

@@CarsWithKeav There you go then! There was a winner you prefer the 22.2 for the reasons you outlined. That is a review with a clear outcome of what you preferred and why. Others can now make up there own mind whether that was right or not on that assumption. I ordered an MJJC as going on what you said a bottle that doesn't fall over and the pick up tube weight and the easy of use for servicing looked like plus points to me.
