Try a product called SALT-AWAY. It removes salt residue from surfaces. I use it on my 2008 model v-box salt spreader. I’m still on the original drag chain. Clean the equipment up and then just spray it on with a garden sprayer or a pressure washer and leave it. DO NOT RINSE! I swear by this stuff. It’s about $45 a gallon but a gallon goes along way.

I don't check out farm machinery, as I have lived in the city for 78 years; but I do check out the new car at dealerships every year. Also, Dougo, there are "Truck Washes" (just like a car wash) at major truck stops on the interstates. 🚜 🚜 🚜 🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🚜 🚜 🚜

We have been using foam now for 15 years on all agri machinery and fleet of trucks, we found out making best job is totally wet job in hand, then foam, leave for 10 minutes, light foam once again and brush all over, wash off with cold pressure washer followed by hot out of pressure washer, doing it this way it rids the surface of all the soap, if you dont rid it off windscreens, when first used, the windscreen would foam up with movement of the wiper blades!! last thing you need, we use about 50 UK gallons every 2 weeks.

Chet try chemx Stars and Stripes foam it’s a 2 step , I use it on my dump truck and it does a great job, also I collect rain water as my supply, when it’s summer it’s 70 plus degrees and most important , spot free .

I also setup a Rainwater collection system for my shop. If you have a 1,000 sq ft roof, a 1/4 inch of Rainwater gives you 660 gallons of water. I have hard well water and low volume. With Rainwater being soft soaps perform much better. Pumps, water heater, and fittings last longer to.

I pulled a chemical tanker for 10 years, we always used foam to clean our trailers. I personally thought it did a good job & also saved a lot of time.

If you wash from the bottom up, it reduces streaking.

You should try some ALUMABRITE. Spray it on, let it set for a few minutes and rinse it of, the aluminum will look like new. Just follow the manufacturers directions. FYI, don't get it on the glass on the cab it can etch it. You should wet the windows with water before you start and rinse them quickly if you think you got some on them. It's used quite a bit on tractor trailers and pontoon boats. Got to love Dougo 😆 Good bless Nikki

Just a helpful tip with foam do a "scrub" from bottom to top after it soaks and then rinse top down. It leaves more product on when you do it that way giving it an Xtra chance to clean especially with the hot water

If, you make an item from the larger white pipes, with a pair of wheels, you could have nozzles like you do with your sprayers in the field, in a shape of an U, but it sits up and over the trucks. Then, after you spray with the foam or whatever. Then, you can roll the sprayer, down the sides of the truck and trailer, to rinse it off. And, you can add a dryer at the other end of the building(?)

The purpose of a foam cannon is to add lubrication to the paint for the scrub stage to prevent scratching swirling. So the steps should be rinse, foam, scrub rinse. You can foam it first if u think it helps the rinse stage that much though

Id trade off the 2 track cat or jd and get the 8rx. U get ur belts. U get away from the roughness of the 2 track. U actually have a chance of getting out of stuff when u start to sink and dougo can keep his beloved 8520. And you can spray with it too.

Once you use the foam cannon you can’t go back. Once applied you must wait about 10 minutes before rinsing. There are foam products that are no touch and allot that you must hand wash with the foam. I don’t know what’s available in the USA.

All they would need in their wash bay is an overhead foam and rinse and an undercarriage Foam and rinse as They drive in. Because you know on the sides, the front, and especially the back, Dougo is going to Beat It with the chamois!

Maybe you want to try stainless pressure washer fittings. We have much better luck with them than the regular ones.

Heat is typically used for grease and oil. If you're just doing dirt the foam and cold water should be sufficient enough. I use a regular pressure washer to soft wash (aka foam and rinse) structures, campers, etc with, no heat at all. The foam solution and a soft rinse does it all. Yes there are times a multiple wash has to occur just due to stubborn areas but no heat necessary. And sorry Dougo, I think we all wish fittings, etc would last a lot longer than they do. Just a part of though or as they say rinse and repeat lol. Love your foamer though, would love to get one like that! What pressure is that rated for? Is it in one of your descriptions? P.s. I can leave my foam on for about 15 minutes before rinsing depending on wind and heat! Mainly the wind.

Foam is better because it slows the chemicals that loosen the dirt from drying out (become inert).

You need to put a sticker on the back of that machine about telephone # and operator abuse. The Canadian darymen that has a RU-vid channel DuchSach something another has stainless steel line's through the barn for the presher cleaner and it holds up pretty good. I ges having to spray and fome down 400 cafe cubical's a year makes you want the best.

When pressure washing, with a product pre-applied, start rinsing it of from the bottom. That way product stays on until the very last second. Will it make a big difference?... nope! :-)

Do you guys have any water treatment on your pressure washer supply? We run scaletron cartridges on ours to help with limestone also only use soft water and make sure you run cold water through the burner to cool it down at the end
