Forests are like Nature’s apartment complexes. All kinds of animals learning to coexist for the most part. The lake would be the local favorite grocery store.

So great to see these lovebirds year round. In Florida cam is off for swfl eagle cam. Amazing to see year round nesting as fl. are abandoned during summer. Thank u for keeping this cam on. This couple so bonded,we r so fortunate to be able to watch this.thank u ❤🦅🦅

We have a bald eagle pair right on our little lake and directly above the bike trail. Ever since watching J&S I love to look at them knowing what they are likely up to. Today one was perched on a branch next to the nest so easy to see. I wish we had a nest cam. They do have a telescope people can look through. They have eaglets.

I get up before Jackie and Shadow but they look much more alert than I do. They are more productive. Jays are like chatty neighbors who overstay their welcome. J and S’s soft responses are interesting. It appeared that they jay was hopping on the camera at one point 😊

One of the BC eagle pairs I watch kept bringing older nestling crows to the nest to feed their eaglet to the point couldnt watch anymore. They are an easy meal for raptors and the corvids know it so they are very protective (and noisy) parents. Meanwhile, corvids would predate eagle eggs or even tiny nestlings so all is fair in the end.

Adult Eagles can range from 12-14 lbs The females are always the largest.
