Neither adult J or S made an effort to chase her away. It’s Spirit. From the moment we watched Spirit come into this world we knew something was very special about her. Her curiosity was so evident even as a small chick peeking up at the stars from under Jackie who, along with her Dad, left us in awe at the tenderness, care and determination of raising her to the point when she fledged. Its Spirit. And as she continues to beat those odds, from 50/50 percent survival odds to now where we can safely say; you made it baby!
I pray for the same & especially after reading about Stormy & Simba last September 😥 I'd like to think that they both went to the Rainbow Bridge & will see Mom & Dad again someday 🌈🦅🦅🌈
Well said, jgrazzi, you do that trio Justice by your excellent observations! Makes us feel good , comforting , they are in other’s company enjoying life doing eagle things.
Ah, I am so sad that I didn’t find this channel - or these beautiful birds - until a year and a half ago …. As we all watched and waited to see if J would lay eggs - all the way through watching the ravens clean up the remains of new life not meant to be last cycle. It was such a moving experience and I was really excited to check in this year to see if the camera would still be there and if J&S would still be using it to prep for a potential new clutch. Then to see THREE EGGS LAID within days. Wow. And we all know the rollercoaster of a season this was. I am just so sad that ai didn’t get to witness the year before when it sounds like it was a magical and happy cycle with such a happy ending (and beginning!). All I’ve seen is those two work so hard and experience such loss and so much grace. Thanks to you though; I’ll be here from now on …. And I am hoping for a different outcome the next rime there are sweet little eggs in that nest of love and home for this amazing little family. ☮️❤️🌷
TY Cali for another awesome video. I thought about a family reunion this week & my wish came true. My heart is filled with joy seeing them all together today ❤❤❤
While we will never know for sure, it is always fun to imagine it is Spirit, coming back to let J&S know that she is doing well. Thanks for capturing this little rendezvous for us, Cali.
🤔Oh my goodness! Was that mating I saw? Could that be our Spirit dropping by to wish Jackie an early Happy Mother's Day?💐🩷 And perhaps some blessings? Seems completely possible that was Spirit. Neither Shadow or Jackie seemed to mind the eagle being there. Are eagles capable of offspring recognition? Soooo many questions lol As always, it was a treat to see our King & Queen spending time together, with a possible visit from their Princess daughter. 👑🦅💕👑🦅💕 +👑🦅 TYVM Cali❤
I love this so much!! Thank you for posting Cali! I just finished watching the video of the two eagle intruders that came in 2022 when Spirit was an eaglet. This video shows J and S very calm. Seemingly very interested in the sub-adult and the SA in them. Def not an intruder! My guess is it’s Spirit bringing mom and dad joy. 🦅🦅🦅❤️
Even though we definitively do not know if that was Spirit returning I would still like to believe that it was her visiting. Perhaps she resides in an appropriately sized area nearby and they go and hang out in her territory as well. J & S have lakeside property so it makes sense that Spirit visits now and again as she heads to the lake for a meal. They were not hostile nor aggressive towards the subadult so my hope is that "proves" that it was Spirit. I appreciate seeing more than just these two bald eagles because it means that the population of bald eagles are increasing in that mountain range.
Thanks Cali. Love them so much. 💕 and how could it not be Spirit close by? She would know her own parents being raised in the same surroundings. 🏞🦅🦅🦅💕❤️
Huh. They squawked about that sub-adult, but didn't react with any hostility. Makes me think that was Spirit, part of the family now growing up. In time for Mother's Day…!
I think Jackie was saying get over here and lets tangled our tail feathers together. When Spirt showed up Shadow was saying Oh our child is tangle feathers blocking! 😊
