Spécialisé dans l'art de l'autoportrait, Nobel Koty s'appuie sur une base de données photographiques et manuscrites avant d'appliquer plusieurs couches d'acrylique sur ses toiles. A travers sa série "Incertitudes", le jeune peintre matérialise les différentes émotions auxquelles l'humain est confronté lorsqu'il perd le contrôle sur ce qui l'entoure.

It was in Cotonou that we met Nobel Koty, a Beninese painter also the winner of the 2024 edition of the ellipse Prize.
Specialized in the art of self-portrait, Nobel Koty relies on a photographic and hand-written data basis before applying several layers of acrylic on his canvases. Through his series "Incertitudes", the young painter materializes the different emotions that humans face when they lose control over their surroundings.
