I’m hoping to influence. It is not insulting to talk about the President’s father being a shoe maker. Maybe it’s rude to take up time, or to distract from the topic, but there is no shame in being a shoemaker! I love you, but you sound so judgmental to me. In the United States, we are taught that everyone is equal. There is nobody better, or less. Good jobs pay better, and have better amenities, that’s it.

You have so much to offer the world. I hold u in very high regard. BUT, in the American culture, red hair is considered beautiful and asking from which parent I got my red hair IS NOT a rude question. Please share your wisdom, but please for the sake of a joke, don’t confuse people. I’m referring to when you say it’s rude, or words to that effect, to ask about, from which parent you got your hair color. Even joking, restricting conversation about our differences is a terrible example that might provoke shutting people down rather than opening them up. Humanity needs to learn about each other, understand each other. This is extremely important in a time when being PC hinders folks from reaching out to others who are different from ourselves. People are afraid of saying the wrong thing, so they don’t say anything. You: Did you get your beautiful red hair from your mom or dad? Me: From my mom, I look just like her, lucky me. If that’s rude in the Indian culture, I’m glad I know. It’s not rude in the States. Yesterday I asked an extremely handsome black man his nationality. We’re students together. He’s 3/4 African American and 1/4 East Indian. It opened up a dialogue that evolved into an important conversation about the institutional racism pervasive in our school. What you are teaching is so important and valuable. I know it’s hard to be vigilant, but please try to be aware of what’s culturally appropriate, and don’t speak against those things. Unless of course, that’s the point. But that’s a different topic, one most likely filled with a myriad of things beyond anyones control, right? Please consider my points, they are liberal, but I think they are the key to keeping this planet flourishing. Thank you for all you do. Lisa

This guy is just way cool and way intelligent. I'm just curious about the white stripes and the white thing on the upper nose. Myself - I went with three stripes - one red, one white and one blue. I'm contemplating a gold star on the upper nose - possibly on the tip but haven't made a final decision.

As per my knowledge monks practice spirituality so the out side emotions cant hurt them.They r fully indifferent to such petty issue..But I herd u say "hurt me".Why?? please correct me if Im wrong

Yes, you are right monks practice spirituality in a way that they do not get hurt. But they are human beings, they do get hurt. The way they navigate through that hurt, the way they direct that hurt, and the way they act towards that hurt makes them a monk.
