Good content, not a lot of extra babble. I don't think you mentioned, what's the minimum flow rate to activate the heater? A shower is easily enough, but sometimes the bath sink is only 1/2 open.
I'm confused about your propane tank/s. I have the same size tanks, I can tell by how it looks next to you, but my tanks are 7lb tanks, they only hold 7lbs or gallons..? Maybe it's gallons and they weigh 30lbs? They sure feel like they weigh more than 30lbs. More like 50! I can't lift them from the ground or my truck up onto the holder stand in the triangle in front of my travel trailer. Not without banging into and scratching everything up and struggling to get one up there. I'm 5'3" and 103lbs and it kicks my butt! I have to find a guy to do it for me. Also, you guys must not get cold.. I was going through a tank every 5 days here near Bullhead City in January and part of February. 🥶
Could you please do a detailed video on how to use the leveling jacks??? I am struggling on how to use them and I cannot find a good video that explains how to use them.
Great video as always. We just got the Cougar 316RLS. Not our first camper but, our first 5th wheel. We do not plan to go full time but, 1 month trips. Your videos are always awesome and love the detail. Happy Holidays to you and your wife, and those wonderful dogs!
Why did you choose the Plus over the Pro? I can’t seem to get a good detailed answer on the Pro. It has a mixing tank like the Truma but I’m not sure if it delivers hot water faster like the Truma.
Not sure if the mixing chamber really provides that much more benefit for the money. Seems to help regulate temp better not provide heat faster. We don’t really see any issues with temp regulation.
Can you time your showers? Measure the gallons used? What temp is the hot water? Thanks for the video! Good to know it takes under 20 seconds or so to get hot water in the shower and the sink in the kitchen. Really appreciate all the work and info!
Anyone here have an opinion on just running both in line? If you install both a tank and tankless system, wouldn’t you have the best of both worlds? To me, 20 something seconds is a long time to wait for hot water, not a deal killer, but why pay to heat your water when you have already paid a park fee and have free electricity. I’m thinking of running the tankless downstream of the propane/electric tank. Thoughts?
@@saltytrips I actually ordered a fogatti 60,000 btu to replace the 12 gallon tank. But I am speaking with the dealer and manufacturer to determine if I can run the tankless downstream of the tank. So far the only limitation will be physical space. But I’m in a big 5er and I’m pretty sure I can find a section to install. I’ll let you know what comes of it.
I have one of these and it will not heat the water enough if your water pressure is over 30psi. I had to set the water to 25psi before I was happy with the temp but at that point I was really unhappy with the water pressure. For residential anything under 40psi is considered low, and this heater had to be turned down to 25psi for it to heat the water. I will say that it doesn't use much propane but it also doesn't get very hot.
Thats sounds weird, water pressure shouldn’t effect this unit , maybe this video here will help ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2Zu394gSXwM.htmlsi=c9ocjQr5w0Z5MJPv
I just bought this unit and was wondering what happened to the red ring that came with it in the installation video.I noticed the one on yours looks clear
