Fokker 100 Avanti Air * Great Turbine Sound * Take-Off at Bern

This Fokker 100 D-AOLG is seen taking-off at Bern. Avanti Air carried out a charter flight from Bern to Kosice with the SC Bern Team on board. The heavy loaded aircraft used nearly the entire runway length for the take-off roll. Listen to the great turbine sound of the two powerful Rolls-Royce TAY 650-15 engines.

Awesome powerful takeoff, that was quite the sound. It really looks like they used up about every inch of the runway! It must be quite the sound sitting in the back of the aircraft next to those engines.

I guess Bern must be a small runway, because most of the videos of aircraft seem to rev up to max then hold on the brakes and then go. nice vid and sound

Not sure why that plane fell out of favor with the airlines. I flew them for 4 years, and it had a few glitches, but they were worked out.

@McPooHole Afcas system would lock up before takeoff.. We had to a series of circuit breaker resets to get it back up. I got on it after a lot of that stuff had been worked out. I heard before they used to give new captains a list of CB resets to fix various glitches. The mechanics told me the cockpit was nice with all the glass, but back in the tail cone and other places it was a lot like the F-28. I flew that one also.
