I’m having some health issues with my joints, but we had a family trip planned for New York City. This ru-vid.comUgkxuxJwamLFanm476LC5WPeTouyyU1GXomC was perfect! It’s lightweight enough that my friend could carry it up or down stairs when we needed to. (I can walk very short distances) It was comfortable for me to sit in, I would say if you’re super tall it might be a little cramped. I’m 5’1” and the foot rests were the perfect height. This may not be the best one for long term use, you get what you pay for, but for something that fits our budget that gives me accessibility while we deal with my health this was amazing.
I AM a disabled person. The biggest problem I have with the scooters is "lift it in and out of the car", which they mentioned it like such a simple act. I can barely stand up, let along carrying 50 lbs "in and out of the car". And, if I could easily lift it in and out of a car, then maybe, just maybe, I wouldn't need a scooter! The second problem I have is bending over. Again, he seems to open/close and adjust the scooter easily, bending over. Good for him! Oh great... now he is kneeling on the floor now... ! If I had done that, I'd never get up! LOL
I have the same problem, but am just in the process fo getting the TGA Minimo autofold, my hubbie also gets motability for both of us and our car has a lift, basically you drive the scooter onto the lift, touch the auto -fob on the correct slot and it folds itself, and then the car lift does the hardwork for you. I hope that helps.
Why do people with full mobility and function demonstrate these devices and keep saying how easy everything is? I would like to see a disabled person show how easy it is done.
You speak the truth my good and faithful friend! I AM disabled, and let me tell 'ya that bending down on one knee in service of my scooter is not a realistic sales pitch!
The "music" in the background made it hard for me to understand what the guy was saying. For those of us with hearing losses this is so annoying. The extra sound serves no purpose so why add it.
Isn't this just typical boring repetitive royalty free wallpaper music getting in the way of hearing anything and forcing we partially deaf to switch on the wretched subtitles. Will we never be free of this obsession with silly music accompanying and obscuring everything that needs to be conveyed as information.
gosh, thank you so much for saying this. The sound is one gripe, but the worst for many, myself included, is the fact that able-bodied people do the demo. I have MS, and I wobble, along with the *energy of a kernel of corn. *(On a good day, three kernels.). My floppy foot drop says, WTH? Why aren't these ads done by those of us who must rely on these mobility products?
Yes at what price . Don't talk too much rubbish. I intend to buy for my wife who is disable on both leg . .each time we go out I have carry it into the car boot which is heavy0
Very informative; however, I found it very hard to hear what the man was saying because of the annoying music. Why have music on while someone is speaking, especially when demonstrating items for people with disabilities? ( who may very likely have hearing difficulties)
You say it's as easy as that but for a person with more disability can't simply bend down and jerk things around to get locks to come undone and simply just lift up to a rideable position. So not all of these scooters are idea for everyone
We totally understand, we can help you find a folding scooter to help your needs. We understand that not every scooter suits everyone. We have 9 different models offering different folding techniques automatic /manual folding. If you are looking please don't hesitate to contact us
Nice chair but what is the weight, width, and height and can it be purchased in Canada? Can it be fifted into car with inside-car lift and does it have attached hooks for that? Where would people get rhem repaired and would parts have to ordered from outside country?
At a guess, I would say the guy is importing them, probably from China, and has a bit of a deal going with the maker/distributor there. Try getting parts or repairs when they go wrong. And as for the price, I would assume it is eye watering, compared with easily avalable models. Also as I have mentioned in other vids of these demonstrations, it's O.K. to show able bodied people not only demonstrating them but lifting them in and out of vehicles, at around 50 Lbs or so that's nigh on half a hundredweight, I am disabled with severe back problems, and do not have a partner nor any help, how would I manage?
YES, YOU ALSO SHOULD HAVE A DISABLED PERSON DO A VIDEO DEMONSTRATION ON THESE COLLAPSABLE, OR FOLDABLE SCOOTERS! THESE SCOOTERS COULD BE REFERRED TO AS ACCORDIAN SCOOTERS,NO? LOL!!!
Finally, light lithium batteries and scooters for the disabled instead of for golfers and racers! Still need taller and more comfortable seats though. Not sure how disabled people would lift this into a car still. Do any have hooks underneath to attach to an inside-car lifter or for handicap vehicle balance?
I have recently discovered we need a mobility scooter for my Mum, really disappointed to watch this information video all the way through not to have prices attached .

They seem nice, I'm not worried much about speed but more concerned about distance and recharging time. Also I prefer the 4 wheeled ones because they are more stable
Please, when you make your demonstration videos, show the folded scooters from the side as well. Many of us need to know whether or not the scooters will fit into the truck space of the small taxis that cab companies are using now. Thank you.
Good Afternoon Jim, Thank you for your comment, Can I assist you with any measurements you require?. We stock a large range of 'Fold & Go' if you inform which model and I can get that information for you. Many Thanks Jennie @ Mobility World
Beware the claim Lithium batteries are "airline friendly." There are national rules and airline rules which are not consistent as to battery size, in AH, and number. You need to check the rules for every airline you will fly. For example, I can fly with my 2 battery scooter on Delta but not on United. Last time I checked anyway. I not only read the rules but called and confirmed the two different policies. Check carefully before you buy and before you go to the airport.
I love this... I am not totally disabled but have pain when walking. Travel even going shopping has become impossible but with this I could go anywhere. I'm gonna get one. Thanks for the video..

They look cheap and dangerous. Can't have any speed, no bottom deck weight for balance, or distance on that battery. Cheap piece of shit and Im sure very over priced.

Norma These are not intended to lift alone as there are designed to be lifted by a method where you are only lifting half the weight OR we supply a lift lugger hoist which does the lifting for you by remote control.
Norma Thomas there are different models that have differently designed lifting models, this method is described and shown to our customers when they purchase a fold and go scooter from us. Your Solax may not have that lifting facility. Alternatively we also sell our Portable Fold & Go Hoist that makes lifting any scooter in and out of cars super easy by remote control in seconds! This will be offered on our website in a few weeks. www.mobilityworldsouthport.com

Which is why you don't leave them unattended. It doesn't matter if it has a key or not - if it's light enough for an able bodied person to lift, or if it can be rolled away when folded - don't leave it outside unless you have chained it to something immovable.
I have had a scooter without keys for years but it's been no problem because disabled people generally store it in the car or are riding it. Rarely do they walk away from it unless getting an MRI or something where there are staff members keeping an eye on it.
I BELIEVE YOU HAD THE CAMERA RECORD THE NAME BRAND ON THE STEERING CONSOLE, BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD THE CAMERA THE BRAND AND MODEL NUMBER OF SAID SCOOTER!!!
