I make a wooden dog ramp for small dogs to be able to get onto and off of the bed without assistance or hurting themselves. Easily stores on the bed when folded and travelling.
Sir, if I may presume to ask for thousands(?) of other pet owners and myself, our request is extremely desperate. Let us all consider the huge array of Snuggle-babies that folks have. Were you to build, let's say, a "replacement" ramp, with the tiniest of tweaks to provide three (3) width choices, You dear Sir, would have the eternal gratitude of millions. Especially for the blue-prints. If the far/near-sighted crowd could request: A. One (1) full-length side-bar? (a little taller) with B. An opposing side-bar, at 2/3rd length from the lower-end. Maybe an 'end-cap' rail, at the high end? Could the ramp also be stored beneath the adjustable-beds that some of us seniors find cool nowadays? Hi. I'm a bit confused as to what you are asking me to do. Are you asking that I make a set of plans showing all of the boards, hinges, and screws that I used to build the ramp but on the plans to use taller guard rails? My ramp can and should be built in a number of ways depending on the width of the each families dogs, their height, and even their weight. Anyone with any decent wood working skills should be able to watch my video and make one similar. Sorry. I do not have the time to draw out plans, measurements, and cook book the steps on how to build the ramp.
Depends on the size of your dog and the size of your bed. I would have the protective lip come to at least 2/3rds of the height from the floor to their back to keep them from falling over it.
