The 24 row 20 inch NorthStar by Geringhoff corn head is the most impressive corn head ever built. Coming in at over 40 feet, it is the largest folding corn head ever.
@hoagmatt db120 is 120 ft, or 48 30 inch rows, not sure if they make a 72 20 inch version, but I doubt it, this header is 20 inch, so a 40 foot working width
@theduckthatswimson80, its impossible to go that fast in corn, the head would clog up. 10 mph with 24 row corn head is impossible on any combine. but i have seen guys go 6-7mph with a geringhoff 18 row rota-disc on lexion 770tt
@freddythestandard i got a friend who works for a guy with a deere instead, but same 20 inch rows, 24 row and they run two 1084 carts, and they have to keep one on it at all times.
@theduckthatswimson80 that just sounds really stupid to me, no offence to the farmers in your area, but that just sounds like alot of losses out of the head, pretty much everyone in my area runs 12 rows, theres a couple guys in my area that run 8 rows on older machines and a couple with 6 rows on really old machines, but for us 12 row is the way to go, nothing else can keep the machine full unless we were set up for 16 row and our planter doesnt match that
@theduckthatswimson80 way to discredit yourself, nobody runs 10-15 mph in corn, and if you are running that fast you wouldnt get anything in the feederhouse or the head would plug in a hurry, we run 4.5 mph in 200 bu/acre corn and thats with lexion 590's and 12 row heads (30 in spacing), and thats the fastest we have ever been able to pick
