No other form of western dancing (especially ballet or folk dances like say Irish or Chiele etc.) matches this in sheer scope of expression and above all GRACEFULNESS, both with regards to the full and complete use of hands, arms, feet, and legs and facial expression - the only other comparable dance (which I suspect this wonderful dancer may be well acquainted with) is Indian Bharatanatyam. In fact several of her hand gestures and body/feet postures are almost identical to Bharatanatyam! Very well done - one of the best dancers on RU-vid I have seen! 🙏
Very beautiful performance, such smooth & fluid movements. I can't imagine how one learns, practices, & memorizes all the intricate steps & gestures. This is a joy to watch!
Go for it. It is by far my favorite baroque dance. So much fun to lesrn and perform. Still brings back joy more than 10 years after I retired from dance.
My best wishes to all my 35 friends on the Presidents Day - George Washington and Abraham Lincoln's birthday. Coincidently, by God's Plan, the forgotten President of the Confederacy State of America Jefferson Davis was inaugurated in the same day in 1861. He became a citizen of the renewed USA under leadership of President Jimmy Carter who started receiving hospice care at home in Feb. 18, 2023. Those who grieve about frailty of human existence in this joyful federal holiday, may be consoled with a beautiful baroque dance: "Folie d'Espagne pour femme" published by the French dancer Raoul Auger Feuillet in 1700 (Paris), probably, 16 February, when the USA did not exist at all. That was performed inside Menshikov Palace in St. Petersburg exactly 3 years ago. - Let's Celebrate Presidents Day!
It's called La Folia (Madness).. There's multiple renditions by many baroque composers including...Geminiani, Arcangelo Corelli, Antonio Vivaldi.. Just a quick RU-vid search and you'll find it
