Ever wanted to have some vehicles follow you around the map? With "Follow Me" you can (though not backwards driving).
Instructions:
- Use action 'Initiate / Choose other' (default: RCTRL + F) to select the vehicle to follow, and make sure it is visibly indicated on the screen.
- For selecting another vehicle to follow, if there are more in the vicinity, press the 'Initiate / Choose other' action again before the 3 seconds timeout.
- To stop following, press the 'Stop AI Worker' (default: H).
- When in a vehicle, its own distance and side-offset to a leader, can be modified using actions 'Change distance' (default: RCTRL + W/S) and 'Change side offset' (default: RCTRL + A/D).
- When being in a vehicle that has followers, use action 'Follower, Choose other' (default: RSHIFT + RCTRL + F) to specify what follower is selected for instructions about distance and side offset.
- Use actions 'Follower, Distance' (default: RSHIFT + RCTRL + W/S) and 'Follower, Side offset' (default: RSHIFT + RCTRL + A/D) for changing the selected follower's distance and side offset.
- It is possible to "place a marker on the trail", that instructs followers to ignore their side offset, or use the opposite side offset. For that use the action 'Marker for Switch side offset' (default: RSHIFT + RCTRL + X). Please be aware of, that the current choice of marker is only visible in the F1-menu of actions.
Known issues:
- Some vehicles have a collision-box detection that is much larger and wider than what is visible (even when folded), and therefore will not be able to work correctly with "Follow Me". They will often state 'near collision' due to their invisible collision-box's size.

Such a useful mod, dont know why i hardly use it. Basically use it only to move several machines around 🙄 And you're right, in FS19: Changelog 1.5.0.25: - Multiplayer support is implemented

Follow me is one of those mods that should just be in the vanilla game. I've used it in every version I've owned starting with 2013.

I've been using Follow Me for YEARS :) it's a very helpful mod for big farms or for farms that need to do a lot of operations simultaneously for efficiency. Great review as always.

Hey, I have the mod installed and it shows up in the mod list before I click start for the game (when I’m about to load into the map) but when I load onto the actual game and click RCTRL+ F nothing happens and I also don’t have any options in the controls in the top left menu. What can I do to fix this?

Keyboard Shortcuts are bounded to maps. You have to "reset keybindings" had the same problem on alien jims new map.

There is an issue currently with the game that was introduced with 1.4's update. If you use the in game downloadable content menu to update or download a mod on PC it will clear the keybindings unless you restart the game between updating/installing the mod and launching a save. This is said to be fixed in the upcoming 1.6 update that is coming with the Kubota DLC in June. Until then the best thing to do is download mods off the website and manually add them to the mod folder. To "reset" your keybindings find the inputbinding file in the FarmingSimulator2022 folder under Documents\My Games\ and delete this file. Then launch the game and it will create a new inputbindings file. You will need to setup any custom keybindings you had as well as fix any deadzone settings you need to adjust.

In 17 just following from point A to B was very simple. The only s3mi difficult task was setting offsets ,and in fact if you took a minute to learn the keybindings ,again very simple. Or you can do as I did and print off a copy of the keybindings for reference, my desk is covered with cheat sheets

I wish there was a mod that would trace the route I do and save it, so when I have a helper do it it will do everything I just did and finish where I want. So I could do grapes and once done the helper would literally follow every move I made to the letter.

Could someone maybe tell if there any unique advantege over courseplay/autodrive? It seems much simpler to setup, so is that it? Maybe more advantages i cant figure?

Follow me is much more basic in that it just gives a hired helper distance and offset instructions with respect to following a lead vehicle where as autodrive and courseplay you can program the helper to follow a complex course off and on the field as well as perform more complex actions or series of actions.

Sure it will work no problem. You can even hire a helper in the lead except they like to alot of backing up at the end of each pass which will end up causing a huge mess as the trailing tractors come into the way. You can have courseplay as the lead vehicle also again as long as you have it set to turn outside the field so its not backing up alot on each pass. When I do my mod videos I have very few mods enabled so I did not have GPS in the mod review mod folder.

If you downloaded the mod via the in game downloadable content menu then there is a bug with the game introduced in 1.4 fixed with the 1.6 update coming that causes keybindings to be lost for mods. Find the file inputbindings under Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulatort2022 and delete it with the game closed. then when you launch the game it will create the file again and the mod bindings will be back. For now avoid downloading mods via the in game downloadable content menu and instead pull them from the website and add them manually to the mod folder.

as you can see in the video you must set the tractor to follow so only the ones you wish to have follow the leader will do so.

Always remember that controllers have a limited number of keys, hence the functions they can perform are limited. When I used a PS4 controller things like follow me and courseplay had to be ran via keyboard
