No leader in the world at this time, comes close to our Prophet. We need the constant companionship of the Holy Spirit, to survive today. And every day hereafter.🇦🇺👍🙏
Amen and amen 🙏 🙏 Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today I receive 85,000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas CA and travel alot. God has promoted me more than once and opened doors for me to live beyond my dreams. God kept to his promises to and for me
I raised 75k and Jennifer Lea Jenson is to be thanked. I got my self my dream car just last weekend, My journey with her started after my best friend came back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how to change my life through her. Jennifer Lea Jenson is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good Partner, and a beautiful daughter. Note: this is not a promotion but me trying to make a point that no matter what happens, always have faith and keep living!
Are you sure about that? Why doesn't the church teach Adam/God doctrine that was part of the temple ceremony in Brigham's day... yet McKay openly rejected this doctrine in general conference? President Nelson has taught that you can trust him "completely", yet Jesus has taught in nearly every canon of scripture that we only place our trust in God and those things that accompany a witness of the Spirit. Nelson's teachings come into direct conflict with holy writ.
What a clarifying message given by Amos, a former prophet of our God (Amos 3: 7): "Surely the Lord God will do nothing (nothing, at no time, even not now!), but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." God's chosen prophets are disciples of Christ, called to help us follow the Son of God! What a blessing this has been in my life for more than half a century already. 😊☀ ❤
May I suggest a deeper study of JST Mark 9. The Savior teaches that even a prophet or seer CAN lead people astray. Don’t believe me? Read the section header. The church acknowledges that the parable is about segments of society that can lead you astray. What they surprisingly did, though, was omit the “eye” from the description because they know that Jesus taught that even a prophet can lead you astray and they know it contradicts LDS teachings.
When you ask a fallible person for directions and you successfully get to your destination where you lead astray? No. The prophets need not be infallible to not lead us astray. If they teach us that which is necessary to get back to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have they lead us astray? No they have not.
I wish I could like this comment 100 more times. The “arm of flesh” is often weak. Nephi’s discourse on the arm of flesh included himself, who was also prophetic. He knew that the only place we place our full trust is in God.
Its clear in the first vision, he's bringing the book... alas.. it must be, so other things may be... the horns, in Daniel's vision. Dividing of kingdoms. @thereluctantwatchman
Like in times of old as in our day, true and living prophets are called of God and will always point us to Christ. Through an honest study of Russell M. Nelson's life and teachings you will find that this is true.
@@danjohnson8556 And guess how he described those false prophets of our day? Wolves in sheep's clothing. That they would have all the outward appearances of a "prophet", but were anything but that.
And he will surely lead you off the cliff. Follow the teachings of Jesus and your final destination will not hinge upon anything that you can do in the way of works.
Faith involves action. It’s true there is nothing we could ever do to save ourselves but it is also true to say saying a prayer where someone says they accept Christ and than rarely gives a second thought about him and does nothing for the hungry and naked but goes on living in sin is making a mock of Christ and his atonement. It is only by grace that we are saved but LDS members and members of many other denominations who try to reflect Him and strive to live up to the savior’s admonition to be perfect even as he and His father are perfect who actually appreciate the giver and his gift
