3 up on a bike with an engine size not a single one of them could POSSIBLY be licenced to ride... yeah that's not Sunday jaunt to the seaside, they're out to jack bikes.
@@Mcfc2Richthey don’t care about agile they ain’t tryna rob someone who’s on a bike it’s 2 much of a serious charge to drag them off so they’d much rather catch a bike parked up n there’s 3 of em cuz 1 or 2 of em will get off to run up n snap steering lock, 1 to get on the bike 1 will stand on crowd control and 1 to stay on the other bike waiting to push the bike there tryna steal away then they’ll go park up somewhere low-key so they can rip the plastics off and do all the hotwiring without being interrupted, and there’s a lot of ways they can get you’re bike started older bikes they can hot wire and back barrel the ignition with a screwdriver but these newer bikes have more anti theft stuff but they keep adapting now they’ll just connect n use a fob to start you’re bike which is literally just a button they press and it will turn the electrics on
The only reason you later questioned yourself is because nothing happened, but the reason nothing happened is because of the outstanding preventative actions you took. Way to stay aware and be proactive!
I live and ride on London. A lot of the motorcycle theives have taken to riding high powered (stolen) 500cc scooters. The trouble is that these scooters are very fast and maneuverable. It's very hard to shake them off. I've seen it happen. When you flee, you still instinctively consider the safety of other road users and pedestrians. You also don't want to damage your bike. The thieves have no such considerations, they ride on pavements at break-neck speeds, I've seen them going the wrong way on dual carriageways. Best way that I've seen is to out brake them. A good motorcycle generally has far superior braking ability than a scooter, and - crucially most bike thieves won't have done any rider training so don't know how to brake properly. Ride fast and brake hard. When being pursued is a good idea to sound your horn as much as possible. You want to draw as much attention to yourself - and the thieves - as possible. Don't ride in circles, remember where you first saw them and drive in one direction _away_ from that locale. Gang members and theives feel more confident in their own turf and much less so as they depart from it - potentially into other gangs turf. They will likely break off pursuit if they enter another gangs turf. Traffic lights are where most jackings happen. Bearing in mind that many of these theives have knives - I personally would treat a red light as I would a roundabout - plan ahead, scan oncoming traffic, filter to the front, go through and slot in safely. One tip is to hit a busy road, and whilst filtering knock the wing mirrors of the cars as you go by. This will enrage the car drivers who will 'close ranks' and block the scooter/ bike following you! They think you're all idiots together and will do all possible to block you. There are some pro gangs that steal bikes to order. These people do not chase you. They are much more organised. If they want your bike they will get it when you park up. You'll be none the wiser.
@@steve00alt70 what scooter has better or as large brakes as any full sized bike dirt or street? I don’t even know of scooter that has Brembo or nissin and given there such small wheels unless you have the cheapest shit ever no scooter will ever brake as well as top manufactured street bike. The difference is 1000 of hours in r and d and thousand of dollars difference in price sometime tens of thousand.
I’m from Bristol and that look like where the person in the vid are there are to many thieves here but lucky most of them ride 50cc Peds so they are ez to shake but they can be veary deadly
@@oligatenby447 Crossing the red lights might set of a camera. You have some time to wait seeing as they're 3 up on a duke and you just did 70 approaching the lights, but of course if the poster was in any doubt they'd probably run the light
Easy to look back on a situation with a cool head but when this kind of thing happens, you are totally unprepared for it. I think you did the right thing and avoided a potentially far worse situation and respect for sharing this. Many of us would be too proud to admit to running away!
Any of the times he stopped for a red light, they were well behind so it was safe enough to wait. If I was him I would still obey the red lights unless they got right up beside me and I feared for my safety I would probably ride through the red then.
Looks like you were riding in Sheffield and started off near or around Manor Top. Having lived in Sheffield through to my 20s, your instincts were spot on and not overreacting. Better to be safe than beat up and have your bike stolen and written off. Safe riding.
@@daveyboy4715 Sounds like someone’s butt hurt (literally) because they cuddle up with their boyfriend on their 50cc moped and think they’re big man ;)
This is peace of advice if someone following you just run faster and be alert in the road if you ride fast if the cop caught you you have a reason that someone are following say something to the police to help you And don't be afraid ride faster Because when you are in danger run fast to escape
Rhys Chick no he is on a 125 duke aswell can tell by the clock set up and sound. Exact same as bike i currently have. Mine tops out at 83 thats only changing exhaust can and sticking sprocket with more teeth on he could have easily done the same there fast 125's
It just shows how alone someone is when they're pursued by thugs down a street regardless of whether there are people or not. It's just you and them and they generally don't care about the repercussions of their actions and will happily go to any lengths for a thrill. CCTV, police. They all add up to nothing. Nothing can protect you in the moment. Take it from me, I know
I would report it to the police regardless, at least that way if you were caught or reported for dangerous driving you submitted a report highlighting your intent.
Ive just got back into biking after 20 years and can't believe this shit happens. Well might be dangerous what you had to do but nicely done. If I knew potential thieves were chasing me I wouldn't hesitate to do the same type of riding.
@@thelaw9937 friend bought flashlight from wish, normal looking but it has 20 000 volt teaser on it but he didnt know it was that kind of flashlight 😅 Had to test it ofc so yes it was definitely more than powerful than electric bug killer 🤣
You need to get mobile technology fitted so you could call for assistance! Having said that, well done mate for NOT panicking and riding well within your limits; bikers such as you are a privilege to share the road with. I being a car driver! 🏴
Why? The police dispatcher would have spent 10 minutes to ask stupid distracting questions before deciding if it's worth dispatching police to your location. It's not the job of the police to prevent crime. THAT'S YOUR JOB. Police are only there to pick up the pieces.
@@ph11p3540 That's a bit of an oversimplification, but I'm guessing you know that. With every police department being stretched for resources, they obviously have to assess each call to determine whether a response is needed. And if so, what the response should be. The assessment to dispatch or not won't take more then a few seconds in a case like this. All the questions after that are to inform the officers, who are already on their way at that point. That being said. In order to save every possible second, I usually make myself a person of interest. By stating "such and such is happening, and I'm gonna engage the f*ckers now!". By stating I'm probably about to hurt someone there's no question about the necessity of police intervention. And I find they usually show up rather quickly.. :-)
@@sigi9669problem with that last bit is calls are recorded, and should you need to use self defence, you’ll lose a lot of credibility with a jury with that played right beforehand. Still better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
Plot twist: the police ticketed you, and gave you a summons or producer, and let the little darlings who were riding a stolen bike, who were after yours, without licence, insurance and tax off with a "don't be naughty boys, you rascals" thats how this country is going.
You can never over react . In manchester signs was put up in the summer couple of year ago saying keep all windows up and doors locked at traffic lights because of car jackings
@@evankieronsmod3494 I never use videos for which I don't have a permission. If BradRider gives me permission, it would be cool. If not, I am not going to use it.
Love the fact you stopped at the red light but subsequently rode around a mini round-about on the wrong side. If I felt that in danger I would probably ride through the red light (cautiously) and can some distance between you and pursuers. Easy to say in hindsight I suppose, well done for successfully & safely evading them 👏
An Americans take on everything shoot it first and ask questions later. The motorcyclist way was the best way no one was hurt and he got out of there . I realise in America that human life has very little value .
get some spray for protection, try spray used for dog attacks its legal in uk and will still do the job against knife, spray them, blind them, disarm them, then crush there little skulls, job done everyone happy apart from police who will give you 20 years for defending yourself lol.
@@ramadanhajjmecca8725 guns would make everything worse bro trust me,you know criminals break into peoples homes for guns right ? would just be messy all around, we need to be able to defend ourselfs tho i agree should all be able to carry powerful pepper spray and a bat or something .
this happened to me recently on way to work late at night its super scary and there is zero consequences for them its all a a game even if they don't plan to steal it then off you (though there have been a increase of hijacking regardless of time of day and while people are around) they want to have fun and fun to them is scaring you making you potentially fall of or crash , due to there having no consequences they are getting more bold across the uk
I get that fact your adrenaline took over and you feared for your safety, but riding at 70mph in a 30 zone was reckless for the safety of others. But at least you did acknowledge this in your video.
In these instances you do what you need to do. If someone finds themselves in this situation, ride as quickly and safely as possible to a police station and ride right up to the entrance! They were up to no good and you did what you needed to do to drop them. One thing to consider is that a three up bike like that takes some pulling up, if they’re at the side of you, hit the anchors and spin around and go the other way. Do a quick U Turn, no way could they turn around like a solo rider, you’d be out of sight in a breath ... IOM TT next mate 😁 I reckon you’d be pretty quick around the island 😉
No I didn't think you over reacted, you'd have no idea if those idiots had knives on them. Thought you handled your bike and the situation spot on. Glad you got away safe.
Oh dam I know exactly where you are, you did the right thing, my mum lives on Cradock Road. There are thiefs where I am near tesco on Infirmary Road, I've chased them off twice and someone nicked two of my chains on Friday. If I catch them I'm getting one of them and keeping him on the floor till the police come get him and take him to the hospital. It's the same people, they stole two bicycles and nearly stole but damaged my last motorcycle.
If I saw teens with their faces covered following me on whatever it was I really would think they would have a weapon with them so you didn’t overreact or anything at 1 time I was scared for you watching this I’m so sorry you had to experience this.
I feel bad for UK bikers. It must feel frustrating not being able to enjoy those amazing machines without having to worry about those assholes trying to cause harm..
I'd have called my nan, she would have come out with the handbag and slapped those boys. "Don't chase my grandson! - Get your butt home now. I'm calling your mother." - "You don't know my mother. You old hag!" - "*Grabbed by the earlobe and dragged home to his mother*"
Well done fella you must of been scared i cant imagine what was going through your head just glad you are ok and theu didnt get your bike or hurt you. Stay safe fella 👍
You rode with as much care and safety as you could to evade a potentially dangerous situation. Sure it was risky, the fact you maintained such good control and kept checking traffic shows you were not reckless or stupid though. As someone else said, would have done the same any day of the week
I'd probably have (carefully) gone through the red lights. I mean, if a police officer sees you, stops you and asks you why you did it, you can say, erm, I was trying to get away from the balaclava clad kids who are three up and have been chasing me for 10 minutes! 😂
I’ve always been obsessed with these but my parents always said it’s dangerous and frankly I don’t live life on the wild side. Shit I don’t even have a license
As soon as I saw this video thumbnail I knew you were on Arbourthorne. You did the right thing turning right around and putting your foot down to get down East Bank Road and gun it to Queen's Road Roundabout as soon as you could. You would have lost them way before you got to The Earl Marshal. I see these little scabs every day trying this on, just glad you got out of there okay dude.
I truly think acid attacks are some of the worst and most vile imaginable. Any way of attacking an innocent person is so cowardly and deplorable but chucking something into their face which will leave them scarred and possible blinded for the rest of their life just so you can make a few quid on some dodgy stolen bike parts deserves some serious head kicking. And yet here in the UK, if we dished out a head kicking to these scumbags we'd get locked up for aggravated assault and GBH.
100% you was gonna get robbed. There was 3 of em, one driver, 2 others. one of em would of roughed you up other would of took your bike while it was happening, soon as his mate has your bike he jumps back on the original bike and theyre gone. Why else would they follow you for that amount of time and be wearing balaclavas...
If you look at 0:43 i only see 3 little kids on a lil bike. The one in the middle give you a thumbs up. Maybe i miss something but for me it seems they are just dump kids. Nothing more. And i think they just want race lil bit with ya and thats the reason they followed you.
If you know how bad the crime rate is for bike theft you’d do the exact same thing as the guy in this video. The fact that all three of them were wearing balaclavas make it even worse.
@@xunter yeah in the uk motorcycle theft is very high and way too common, so i mean yeah they probably did just wanna race but because theres 3 of them with balaclavas the risk isnt worth it as the chances of your bike being stolen here are very high
they even said 'whats that one? that ones bad boy', they were appreciating his bike. Probably 3 little kids riding on a mate"s bike since he just go his license. I really think they were just too young to get a nice bike and gear and having fun on that little duke 125
Lmao I love how he apologizes for the dangerous riding. I just recently started riding a motorcycle, and if someone pulled up on me like this I'd learn how to bang gears real fuckin fast and take corners like a madman. Ain't no one taking my bike
You wasn't stupid! If it was me, I wouldn't even stop at the lights. They would never catch me, i get a rush from these types of situations, that's why i'm a danger to be on the road! You drove so safe, stopping at them lights. Kudos to you.
Remember, you know the handling properties of your bike , use that to your advantage If you have grippy tires , make hard and fast turns , If you have a high powered engine, outrun them If you have good breaks , make them overshoot If you have a quiet bike , hide but be ready to shoot off
The red light at 02:22, given the circumstance of the traffic at the time, the junction layout and making sure it was safe I'd have gone through that and taken the left rather than stopping.
It's all very easy to say 'I'd shoot them blah-blah' but if you're in a place where guns are commonplace they will most definitely have one too. Potential stalemate.
This is why we conceal-carry in the US. If criminals don't obey laws by definition, it's up to responsible citizens to legally carry for protection and to put these animals down. Today it's your bike, tomorrow it's an innocent persons life. I realize it's an older video.
my advice in these situations is do the loop trick which is go fast but go round a figure of 8 pattern through housing estates, keep watching for them, if you no longer see them, next turn that isnt a cul-de-sac take it, theyll think theyre being smart setting up a possible trap, when really theyre just there hiding lil bell ends waiting for someone who wont turn up, ive also used a roundabout before now too, one of the big ones you get for motorways, just loop round it theyll try keeping up on a bike thats overloaded and theyll either slow down or low side it and slide, if they slow down, make sure you keep going round, moment you lose sight or they lose sight, take the turn off and then next turn as soon as possible, to them youll have just vanished. my best experience was getting chased by two stolen sports bikes, i know how to ride fast over ruts and bumps on old roads, it was the single most satisfying thing taking a corner at 80mph, foot peg making sparks and i look in mirror to see the idiots go straight across both lanes and into some trees, turned back after to see if they were ok, at which point id met with some friends, I'm not a evil person, they came out covered in their own blood from cuts and one was crying in the trees about a broken leg. they got out safe... one of the lads who i was meeting was a medic, the other 6, off duty officers.
It would have been very temping to have booted his bars as he came alongside you sending all three to the gutter however you would be in the wrong and land yourself in a lot of trouble so it's a job to know what to do hence I think you made the right call.. glad your safe that's the main thing, it boils my blood the way this country is falling down. I'm 45 now and there is knife and gun crime literally everywhere whereas when I was a nipper you'd only hear of such things happening in the big cities such as London & Manchester etc. Stay safe dude
I wouldn't have given up either man! Now lying on my couch I'd say I would've tried to find a police station but man, you didn't do good, but I would've done the same
Never mind them getting infront of you, don't even let them get beside you. They'll swing kicks and knock you off the bike. If you don't let them get alongside you then infront of you is already taken care of.
Heard stories from old-school biker gangs about riding with a covert pipe or homemade get-back whip that they'd chuck into the spokes/wheels of rivals. Might be worth it against bike thieves.
As much as i love “power to the man” and fighting for what you stand for…is it worth driving like that in populated areas daytime at 60+ mph risking your arse and other lives for a piece of metal? You have a camera so insurance is not a problem. While running, voice dial 999 simple.
I think you made the right call ... and you did your best to balance the danger of the odd unsafe riding, but can't blame you as you are trying to escape, so to be fair you were doing fine, I most probably would have safely jumped that red light you stopped at earlier, and made the left turn to get more distance on them. But the world we live in today, every so often, us good people have to take precaution measures, and do these things to avoid fearful situations such as this. Don't blame you one bit, you still rode responsibly considering, and had very good judgement, glad you got home safely.
