Less than an hour and I went straight to the website to see the finished carving and if it was still available. Nope! 😂 Congratulations on the speedy sale. Beautiful carving, now I'm going to watch you make it. 👍🏆
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft 😂 I've watched now, I guess you kind of made up for the absence of the oil pouring footage by showing us the packing build too. These unfortunate things happen just don't do it again haha. The future video ideas look great. The bell is clicked, I look forward to the next one 🙌💗
It's beautiful! I love the interactive element of having different pearls to choose from. It was also interesting seeing the process of building a crate for it to be protected in while it travels.
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft I am using / learning the TurboPlane now, its the best roughing tool I know for pieces where a chainsaw is too big. Also, its not a death sentence on your fingers like that horror mock chain saw they put on angle grinders.. its quite smooth.
I think one of the aspects of your art that I appreciate the most, is how recognizable it is. Having a signature style is, perhaps, one of the hardest things to achieve as a maker/artist and you have done just that. Great job on this piece!
Fantastic! Your videos and sculptures are superb, and the scenery outside is breathtaking! You are extremely lucky to be living and working where you are! 💚
I really love all of the drawings for every sculpture. But I absolutely love this fox one the best. There is always so much detail and care put into each sculpture I just can't wait for next one. I hope he sells or post some of his drawings cause they are just that amazing.
It's hard not to be inspired with the views you have there and this piece is absolutely stunning - I personally love the red option so its like a blood moon.
Thank you! I agree. Spending time in the nature im surrounded by probably helps a lot! Yeah after looking at the color options i also liked the red one and the wooden colored one the mosr
Het man, that ball-burr looks like it stole your heart. Good investment. And those balls in different colors are a great idea. Although personally I like your free standing animal sculptures best, that wall-art is a great way to make beautiful decorations that relate to a lot of people very well. Curious what the next project will be.
Awesome sculpture Jonas! It looks so beutiful with the figuring from the wood, really elevates the piece! Now all I can think about is if you could get a little round light for the pearl, would make an awesome wall piece to light up for creative times!
Wow, this is incredible…the face of Lyra is so emotional …and the four colors of the ball…I’m flashed of the detailed work on this piece…it’s always a pleasure to see the workflow of your artwork. Thanks for sharing
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft always enjoy watching your carving videos. I've only been wood carving for about a year, but I love it. Started with a Dremel, moved on to a straight die grinder and angle grinder, and now I have a chainsaw. I want to get a good set of hand carving knives and chisels as well. The tools have been expensive, but I think I'm addicted to carving...lol.😅 I really appreciate learning from watching videos of different people's processes, but creating the shipping crates is often skipped, so I very much appreciated seeing that.👍💯 Thank you for sharing with all of us.😊
Yet again an amazing sculpture. I think it really suits your style to play with contrasting shapes and angles like this. Some smooth and hard shapes, and some soft and flowing. They are so dynamic and full of life. Cant wait to see what you do with some of the other sketches and ideas A shame we didn't get to see the oiling, because that wood color is gorgeous! I'm sure it was some amazing shots :P
One of the things that makes your work so beautiful and compelling is that you spend so much time and effort on developing the concept first with your wonderful sketches. I have a bad habit of pursuing an idea before it's fully developed and then struggling to finish because I never had a clear vision of where I was going with it in the beginning 😆 I need to be more like you.
It is such a beautiful piece, and it was very thoughtful of you to create spheres of different colors as different people have different likes. Seeing this reminds me of Ori and the Blind Forest, a brilliant PC game.
Fabulous! Fantastic work, beautiful work! Besides being a great artist you are also funny and funny in your videos. My compliments from the Czech Republic.
Such beauty ❤ I loved that you included how you built the shipping box :) It's always interesting to see the different aspects that are a part of your work.
I truly enjoy every second of your video's. The wood working skill, humor & wit, and artist in you make each one a treasure. I humbly thank you and wish for you to keep creating and taking us along for the journey....
It looks great. If it was on my wall, I'd just keep the red orb, looks like a blood moon. The others are amazing as well, this is just my personal preference.
Wow, just wow! Another stunning sculpture! Love the idea of the different pearls and the box for them. Also enjoyed seeing the creation of how it would be packaged for transport. How you come up with your ideas and designs is a mystery to me, but is a true gift. Always enjoy your videos and your humour is spot on. Can't wait to see what you achieve next! Good work! 😊👍🏼
@Jonasolsenwoodcraft thank you for replying to my comment, and you are most welcome. Require a very large box, maybe a self standing sculpture? Ooo i cant wait to see the video!
Lovely piece, I really have enjoyed the names and little stories these last few have had! One piece of feedback, when you made the decision to be a wall hung piece rather than freestanding, did you consider the impact on the design? The end result is stunning, but you do lose the ability to see the fox's face which wouldn't have been the case freestanding. Perhaps having the head turned the other way and the pearl a little more in the foreground so we could see that wonder in the expression? Beautiful none the less, and the moon + wolf connection just makes me happy, no matter how subtle.
NICELY DONE! Splendid! Love the stain color for the balls too, great color choice. The shadow box thing, was that a little case for it or did you end up deciding overkill? I have some new stuff myself to show you!
