Hey, everyone! In today's video, I wanted to film my process of me dying my hair platinum blonde for the first time ever. I followed Tarek Ali's platinum blonde hair tutorial to achieve this look.

I’m a licensed stylist. The next time you bleach your hair to stop the bleach from burning add a few packs of sweet in low sugar to the bleach mixture. Thank me later ❤️ And never shampoo your hair 48-72 hours prior to bleaching or relaxer services. Also add a few drops of oil to the bleach to help prevent your hair from drying out. Also a little secret run some purple shampoo through your hair quickly before toning but rinse out just to pull out some of the brassiness. And it’s always best to use a bleach that is blue/purple instead of white because it helps to tone by pulling out any yellow/orange while processing. White bleaches have no color to them so they can’t help tone that’s why people have to bleach more than once. And bleach actually stop working after 45-55 mins 😃

It's beautiful on you ! Next time tips -- 40 developer is unnecessary, 30 gets the job done just as well with less damage to your hair -- the amount of time you leave the bleach on your hair matters way less than the volume of the developer you're using. The higher the developer simply means it'll bleach your hair fast, then stop doing its job. It won't get any lighter the longer it's on; the level of lightening depends on your starting point & how virgin your hair is. You also want to start from the back of your head since it see's less sunlight, your front section, baby hairs & roots will always bleach faster & lighter than the darker, thicker sections of your head. If you grow your hair out, stick to the same rule to reduce the risk of damaging/breaking off your hair -- mids, end first, roots baby hairs last. Because you're bleached now, when/if you grow your hair out, you only need to use a 20 developer on your new roots, as its virgin hair & because its directly on your scalp, the natural heat coming from your scalp will process the bleach faster than mids & ends && HOW COULD I FORGET --never bleach clean hair. you want to be at least 2 days dirty to allow your scalp to build up its natural barrier (oils) to prevent the burning you were experiencing !

Bleach stops processing after about 40-50 minutes tho so next time you can rinse out a lil sooner to prevent damage and burning also you can let the shampoo sit for 10 min it works wonders

It looks really good ✨ just give your scalp a favor next time and don’t shampoo it before bleaching. The bleach is strong enough to go through any dirt or oil so its unnecessary to shampoo.

It’s amazing how darker skin tones look so young with white/platinum/silver hair but folks of low-melanin tones look old with platinum hair. We always look like teens when we go silver hair but my European heritage friends look like seniors when they’re only 30.

You looks amazing !! Helpful hint if you use blue or violet bleach you’ll only need to bleach it ones because blue or violet cancels out brass color and creates cool tones verses warm tones … but awesome job💪🏽

Washing your hair before bleaching actually makes it more prone to bleach damage and burning on your scalp. Your hair needs its natural oils to be able to handle the bleach the best. I usually don't wash my hair for a week or something before I do a round of bleach. This turned out soooo stunning! Congrats

I am a retired hair stylist. You are not suppose to stimulate your scalp for 24 hours prior to doing any chemical treatment. So do for comb or shampoo prior to bleaching your hair. This is why it's burning. You can apply second application right after 1st application and wash...Wash gently without stimulating the scalp. You do not have to wait for 24 hours. Looks Great!!!!

next time try ion sensitive scalp developer. Its amazing. Less harsh combined with the bleach as opposed to regular developer

His head more likely was burning because he washed and rubbed his hair and scalp. Pores wide open and no oil to protect the scalp. Perhaps also because he used a 40 instead of a 30... That's just my thoughts by looking at the video..

No problem-- yeah when you wash your hair (even the most gentle and soft way possible) you're creating little microdermabrasions in the scalp and the bleach is sitting and simmering hunny
