Following the Norton Commando on our camera bike - raw exhaust sound

Here's our friend Dave Mitchell (from Mitchell's Classics) taking a customer's 1972 Norton Commando 750 Roadster out for a quick shakedown. The raw exhaust sound is captured by the GoPro camera which is mounted to the front of our camera bike.

Another great program! I still cannot get over how great the Norton sounds! Absolutely music, yes? 😂 Keep up with these wonderful programs, they are enjoyable and seriously informative as always.

I really miss my Norton. That sound, torque, and great handling was just great! And the wheel hop at traffic lights made plenty of people just stare at you!

Those country lanes are perfect for classic bikes. You're providing a nice perspective on these bikes. My college roommates both had Triumph TR6s, and the exhaust note was etched into my memory - lovely sound. On another note, I guess those roads are so lightly traveled that their being, basically, one car width isn't much of a problem?

Hey MadChalet, thanks for your nice comments. Yeah, the roads can get busy and they develop natural passing places where you have to stop and let the other car by, or vise vera - riding a bike's not an issue though :)

Your kick-starting technique isn't quite right. You used your body weight well but you need to prod the lever down then up to protect yourself in the event of a kick back
